Just outside of town, yet another venue awaits at the Verizon Wireless Music Center. Living in Indy, it might be a good idea to bookmark your favorite ticketing website, because it's a good bet you'll need it.
As you may know, whether your favorite acronym is NFL or NBA, this city is an Eden for sports fans, with four professional sports teams. NBA and WNBA predominate here, with the Pacers and the Fever. The Indianapolis Colts, one of America's most beloved NFL teams, of course makes its home here. Lucas Oil Stadium can pack in a crowd on game day, so plan your schedule accordingly.
Finally, Indianapolis, while a "big city" in every sense of the phrase, works to preserve its natural environment, as you will see as you walk the Monon Trail, a paved former railroad, or take a hike through White River State Park. Skip town for a day and visit Eagle Creek Park--at almost 4000 acres of land, it is one of the nation's largest, and its lake serves as the host of the US Rowing National Championship.
