Great beer bars and breweries round out residents' culinary experience. The NC State Fair is another "culinary experience" you won't want to miss, particularly if you cherish fried food. Thankfully, you can only get your fried-Oreo fix at this classic Southern fair once a year.
While the internationally-renowned tech companies in the Research Triangle are the region's lifeblood, making it the fastest-growing region in the Carolinas, businesses will also want to take note of the Raleigh Convention Center, also one of the area's biggest and most successful attractions. Residents who like to enjoy a show now and then from their favorite artists and performers should remember to check the schedule at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts.
