Franklin is a city that is situated in Warren County, in the state of Ohio. The city was named in honor of Benjamin Franklin and was founded in 1796. The settlement was incorporated as a village in 1814 and, after almost 150 years, it was declared as the city of Franklin. The city is crossed by the Great Miami River and it is located at an elevation of 650 feet.
