The construction industry seems to be the biggest loser in the current Cincinnati housing market, with new construction homes continuing to decline rapidly after builders posted record-breaking numbers in 2021. Housing starts are expected to soon fall to below pre-pandemic levels. It is not surprising, as Cincinnati's pandemic bounce-back has been slower than in other comparable areas across the country.
