Sunrun nightmare

We had to either rent or buy sunrun solar panels. We were not given a choice when buying our Beazer home. Sunrun installed them damaged, we are paying full price, they have dodged my manager requests for months, and I am paying hundreds of dollars a month for electricity because the panels don't work. Please use a better rated solar company on your new builds

Poor service after purchase.

The service after you purchased the home is horrible, you have to call and call until you get fed up. They have every excuse not to do the work, they installed quartz in my house it was an upgrade but failed to tell me that they do not polish and seal the quartz I have circular marks and quartz from suction cups. A lot of skipped steps all they want is the closing.

Awesome home but Beazer buried some expenses which cost me a lot of extra money needlessly

Overall Beazer did an awesome job with high quality. But they fell short on a few key areas. First, they made us purchase home theater equipment we did not need nor use. It is literally stacked in our garage now. While I appreciate Beazer’s respect for the environment, their policy about home theater systems is anything but wasteful for buyers and wasteful for the environment. Beazer also charged us extra for concrete they never poured, because what they advertised in their model homes they could not offer. Sales team was great but once the money changed hands there has been very poor to response for making requested repairs!!

So far it has not been a good experience buying a new home . I had to call customer care 3 times in less than a month (and I just moved in almost 2 months ago) for the AC and plumbing.

I had a fairly nice experience purchasing the home. Everyone was friendly. The reason more stars were not given is because I don't believe the sales office and construction manager communicates very well. Things could have gone smoother. Craftsmanship is construction speed build, hope that explains it. :-P Information after purchase is not completely provided and not so easy to find. The home itself is well built and I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Be very very specific about questions you have and write down the answers, or email for a paper trail. The customer care center is very slow. We are waiting over 2 months for some warranty fixes, even after calling everyone we know to call and get attention. We do love our home and the neighborhood!

Changing of deadlines, subcontractors used not the best

The completion date of our home was changed several times, initially the house was to be complete before thanksgiving but was not actually complete until December 20th. With the extra time taken, you would think that everything would be perfect, yet despite having 2 walk-throughs prior to move in, everything was not perfect or fixed. Very frustrating to be paying almost half a million for a house that has missing paint, cracks in wall, chips in granite, etc.

Beazer makes great homes but don't expect any wow factor from the support team or builder after close. We love our new home. The floor plan, the finishes, the price, the community & the landscaping are all great but it's the 100 little things from Beazer Corporate that tell you they either don't care or are not aiming for customer satisfaction. For example... we bought one of the model homes, which I would never do again because when they say the models are 'as is'... they are not kidding and they will do NOTHING to get the home into a livable condition. I purchased a newly constructed home at Iris Park developed by Beazer Homes. After one week of closing we had a major leak causing damage to flooring, cabinets, baseboards, paint, carpet.. it took them more than a month to make the repairs. Was not able to have tenants move in due to the damages causing me loss of rents and making repairs. The developer Beazer has an audacity to ask for receipts on repairs and unwilling to pay for loss of rents. I will pursue with legal action to cure my expenses. Armando was great. Finish carpenter and paint trade horrible. Painter unbelievably bad. Solar company SunPower totally incompetent. System does not work fully 4 weeks out and multiple service trips. Interior doors wont swing closed. Welcome to Beazer Homes.

Unfinished Finishes

My wife and I expected more from Beazer for $1 million home. We were very disappointed to find overspray on the countertops, inside the cabinet drawers, a room was not even painted or drywall properly, Flashing on the roof with a hole in it, etc. to name a few things that were/are wrong. Thank goodness for Todd and John who worked tirelessly to get things fixed for us. The good news is that Beazer responds very quickly to our concerns.

From the beginning of the process it was extremely ridiculous. Kathy at the sales office continually provided false and misleading information. She would only tell half of something and when what actually occurred differed from what she stated, she would simply say, “well it was in the papers you signed.” As an example. She initially asked if I wanted to pay to upgrade to “Solid Surface Shower Surrounds” instead of small tiles with grout. I thought this would be a good idea. There is a list of items that were not checked by the builder to be working properly prior to our move-in 2 months ago. Plumbing - Electrical - Furnace - Heating/AC It is super disappointing and very frustrating to be dealing with all these issues that could have been avoided.

Horrible Quality. Regret Buying

Closed escrow at the end of Jan 2020 and have have 50 customer service issues tickets open. Crooked walls, poor drywall, broken furnace, damaged cabinets, things built out of plan/out of spec. cracked concrete, deformed toilets, yard flooding, the list goes on and on goes on, Extremely poor craftsmanship. I typed a lengthy response for submittal. I stated I had inappropriate language and when I returned to previous all was erased. Just like you poor site customer service, bad quality build filled with discrepancies I still feel no one cares.

The salesperson was very helpful but since I moved into my home the customer service has been very disappointing and I can only imagine terrible service in the future. I haven’t been able to get dead trees that were installed replaced or even the size of light bulb required for the address fixture. I’ve purchased three new homes in my lifetime and this is by far the worst! Beazer should really look at the after sales department!
