Beazer has been very efficient from start to finish so far. Information has been available regarding the entire process. While there were some minor issues as with any new build, they were quick to respond and correct. Mike W on the construction side has been very courteous and cooperative in getting things done when needed.

I'm disappointed that no one at Beazer will fix the items that were wrong with the house when we purchased it. The fixes are very small, and Beazer promised to do so, but months later they still haven't done so.

Overall Beazer Homes has been great in terms of communication, updates on progress during the course of construction and they were right on time as they promise regarding construction schedule to the way to closing despite the pandemic. Punch items were acted and completed with no issues. Just need a little patience.

Bumps always were smoothed out

If you expect no bumps in the road then buying new/building aren't for you. They are always there. What you can expect from Beazer is to deal with those bumps quickly and fairly. From the purchase process through punch lists, I felt like the Beazer Team did a good job of keeping things on track and fixing things when they strayed a bit.

The process with Beazer was not the best. Buying the home, we were told a late June / early July delivery. The first delivery date came back at the end of the July. After several discussions, the sales representative was able to get it moved "up" to a mid-July delivery. The punch list process was also rough as many of the items from our walk through were not completed on closing day. Therefore, we had to delay closing for several hours while they rushed crews over to finish the work. The final punch work was also slow to be completed. From the 1st time we looked at Bishop's Landing our experience was amazing. Shannon in Sales went above and beyond to assist in selecting our perfect home. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, when it came time to build we were unable to watch the build in person. Rob our project manager was awesome, he kept us updated with weekly photos and detailed descriptions during each stage of the build. The entire process from beginning to settlement was smooth and easy for the most part. Our walk through issues were taken care of immediately and the home was prepared nicely. We highly recommend a independent home inspection. Visiting the site during construction is crucial. Build a relationship with the construction manager and the team. Purchase the highest upgrades that you can afford. Remember you can’t go back.

We had a great experience from start to finish with everyone we came in contact with. Folks were extremely helpful with selection of everything inside and outside our home. The neighborhood is great and we are looking forward to spending our retirement years in the Estuary. If there was one thing that I would suggest be done differently; all the punch list items should be taken care of before settlement.

The staff was very helpful in selecting "extras". The sales rep did a great job of explaining the use of the select mortgage program and savings. Our disappointment comes in the closing process and the lack of quality control. After 2 months we are still waiting for action on our 2+page punch list. Most items on the list are a result of sloppy workmanship and oversight. Our home inspector referred to the work as below industry standards.

Be Prepared for builder grade equipment, shoddy workmanship and minimal finishes

Everything in a Beazer home is builder grade. The workmanship throughout the home's systems is poor quality. The finishes are minimal, for example, there is no molding around windows or ceilings. The trim molding at the floor is cut haphazardly and nail holes are not finished or stick out of the trim in many areas. Every system in the house I bought had to be corrected. The ac, garage door, fireplace. water and duct systems were not hooked up correctly and all had to have corrective work done to make them function. DO NOT PAY FOR PAINT UPGRADE! It’s all in the details. From the start, we were impressed with construction techniques and materials. Durning the build process we were updated as different projects were completed. As with all homes their are always going to be touch ups or blemishes that need to be addressed, and they are handled quickly with satisfaction being important. We would have no issues recommending Beazer as a go to company, and have already shared with friends the up side of our choice.
