The house itself is pretty well built. But Beazer did not tell us prior to closing that MediaCom, the only cable supplier in the Estuary, had not installed any of the necessary infrastructure. Beazer claims they didn’t know-that’s hard to believe. And if true, local management is incompetent and should be fired. In any case they have disavowed any responsibility. Basically, they’ve said “it’s not our problem—deal with MediaCom. They fail to understand that we buyers deal with THEM. We depend on the builder to do their due diligence in all areas. Don’t settle until everything is fixed that is obvious to you. Don’t settle on a house that has construction on both sides of yours. Windows do not lock.

The staff was very helpful in selecting "extras". The sales rep did a great job of explaining the use of the select mortgage program and savings. Our disappointment comes in the closing process and the lack of quality control. After 2 months we are still waiting for action on our 2+page punch list. Most items on the list are a result of sloppy workmanship and oversight. Our home inspector referred to the work as below industry standards.

Be Prepared for builder grade equipment, shoddy workmanship and minimal finishes

Everything in a Beazer home is builder grade. The workmanship throughout the home's systems is poor quality. The finishes are minimal, for example, there is no molding around windows or ceilings. The trim molding at the floor is cut haphazardly and nail holes are not finished or stick out of the trim in many areas. Every system in the house I bought had to be corrected. The ac, garage door, fireplace. water and duct systems were not hooked up correctly and all had to have corrective work done to make them function. DO NOT PAY FOR PAINT UPGRADE! We have had multiple problems since closing on September 27th, including no heat. We have to make several phone calls to get anyone to help. The response time is unexceptable. We turned heat on two nights ago and it didn't work. We are still waiting f

When you have your walk through make sure your check every thing over really good. DONT close until everything is fixed and working. Our house was a "rush" job to close by Beazer's year end of September and we have had so many issue's that take way too long for them to address.

Front Office is great-the final product is a major disappointment

The wood used around the windows and doors is dented and damaged but it was still used and then they paint over the damaged areas. Poor mitered corners, my kitchen backsplash tiles don't match (different shades of beige) I'm missing a spindle on my banister, my garage door just broke and has existing damage on the bottom, a rock fell out of our front facade, glass kitchen cabinet is cracked in all four corners, missing window screens, garage door knob is falling out of door, dents in the dry walls and everyone is to busy building more houses and not fixing the existing ones so we just sit ...

The construction craftsmanship is very poor and the construction supervisor did not do his job to ensure that the trades did theirs

Buyers Remorse

After spending over $400,000 for a new home we expected to move into a completed home. Instead we will be inconvenienced for months as you come back in to fix or finish a long list of items. Not the way I wanted to move into my new home. I wish we had purchased an NV home at the other end of our block, away from the stench of the chicken farm that we weren’t suppose to smell, that our neighbors say were move in ready.
