Fluid communication with builder and new home consultant

Since the first day we were interested building with Beazer the sales rep (new home consultant) was super informative and promptly answered our questions and concerns. Following going under contract, our builder became our primary contact and was very receptive of our concerns that arose and promptly addressed them. Furthermore, the builder maintained a good communication channel between us and our sales rep and as a team our house was completed with little delay. One critical point of feedback would be a recommendation to Beazer to contract higher quality sub contractors. Perhaps it is the ...

Frequently told when the condo would be ready only to find out delay after delay......after a year and a half they were finally ready to move in. Be straight forward and tell the customer based on the experience with the first six buildings and accurate estimate for completion. I lost thousands in rental costs based on their bad information. Their title company is the worst of the ten or so I've worked with. The company designated to manage the HOA is too large and terribly inefficient. I nicknamed their rep on site "Ghost", never heard any resident have anything good to say about his work. ...

Beazer sales staff tried but could do better

From the first viewing of the model units to the Closing Day, there were three different sales people involved; however, two of them periodically emailed progress photos that were helpful. Generally, there was an overall lack of pertinent information and follow-through. The quality of the build was explained in detail during a construction progress site visit but at the end, there was a distinct cutting of corners in the details and interior finishes that are sadly outdated; yes, this is a 55+ community but not all of the buyers are from our grandmother's generation.

Beazer Homes responded:
For over nine generations Beazer has been building houses our customers are proud to call home. As an industry leading energy efficient builder, we take immense pride in our expertly curated finishes, thoughtfully designed floorplans, and delivering a home built for what’s ahead. We also cherish the new home journey and strive to partner with our homeowners throughout this process. We are happy to hear the Lake Nona team was there to guide you through this process, Audrey, and apologize if your selected options do not meet your expectations. We have invested more than half a million dollars into our new home, expecting quality finishings. We chose Beazer because they seemed to be an experienced quality builder, even in COVID impacted times. Sadly, after waiting almost 4 months longer than originally expected, the results are not impressive. Missing insulation, bad plumming, very low-quality paint job, poor water drainage, crooked walls, A/C issues, loose wall fixings, among others. They are covering most issues with the warranty, and I get that COVID has impacted our lives, but for such an expensive investment, things should not ...

Beazer Homes - In general terms, the house and the floorplans are beautiful.

In general terms, the house and the floorplans are beautiful. But the lack of attention to detail is sad. I received my house with a lot of missing finishes, like cabinets, floors, paint, etc, Yes, the builder is scheduling people to come and fix things, but that is not the ideal way to buy and receive a brand new house! Also, the told me that the amenities and pool would be built in March 2021, it is now May and nothing has been initiated, very disappointed. The community lacks of lighting for the night time, the mailbox is uncovered.

Thank you for letting us know about your experience, Carolina. We understand that touch-ups needed on a new home can be frustrating. During the process of construction I visited the house a couple of times and some of the materials used for the framing were in bad shape and were not replaced. The different contractors do not respect other people's job and cause some damages to the work already done, paint job is bad and they installed my bath tub with a lot of dirt underneath and when I informed the inspector about it he stated it was to support the tub, but I have never seen anything like that in my previous new homes and nothing was done about it. The floors on the second floor are not leveled and when I installed ...

To someone just driving by or visiting the area for their child/grandchild’s tennis/soccer match, the Gatherings would appear as a really nice place to live, and don’t get me wrong, it is a nice place to live. However, as the old saying goes, don’t judge a book by its cover, this can, to a certain degree, be applied here. The value of your purchase here might be lower than you’d think and expect. There seems to be a lot of shoddy or cheap work that’s been done (in our unit anyway) which, in some other “new” dwellings might be acceptable, but for what we agreed to pay here, that should not ...

I purchased a home in Osceola County, Florida. Located at PennyRoyal, Florida 34744. The reason for the email is that I am very dissatisfied and frustrated with the way your company is handling my non-working AC issue. I purchased and closed my home in October 25th 2022 and my AC is still not working. This issue was acknowledged during the first walk (shame on me for closing in good faith)and the sales agent/construction promised me the issue would be resolved before I close. The communication was awful. My wife and I had to relocate to a hotel, because Beazer did not communicate the 2nd time our closing was changed. Beazer made a small attempt to compensate us, but only about half of the expense they created. The warranty department has been pitiful. The warranty guy “Steve” has no business dealing with the home buyer. His supervisor “Ryan” has made no attempt to get in touch with us. He is either unaware of our issues, or he doesn’t care! Neither is acceptable. The good news is, we do like our home.

Sales Guy Disappeared - Confusion Through Closing - Warranty Mystery

Our sales rep disappeared once we signed the contract, which delayed closing by weeks. Never heard from the original "closing agent" rep from Beazer until I escalated. Team took over to push the closing forward. Warranty is a mystery. At closing the closing team had no idea of the process to notify HOA - I had to reach out to them via escalation. I notified Beazer that the closing process was terrible, hopefully that will improve. HOA management company is strong - so that has been a good experience.
