1.) We purchased a wooded lot only to find out it is actually a swamp land swarming with mosquitos. I’ve brought it up to our supertendent and been told nothing can be done. 2.) Beazer should hire a new trim contractor. Our baseboards and shoe molding were very poorly installed. Our boards running up the sides of our basement stairs had gouges and nails hammered over sideways. 3.) It took 7 months from the time we signed our agreement until we moved in. We were told it would take 4-5 months. All the while we were seeing contractors working on spec homes down the street while our home sat ...

Disappointing final product

I love my floorplan and home, but definitely would not recommend building when closing will fall near the end of their fiscal year (September) ... priority is given to their quota and the building process is rushed (and perhaps compromised) to meet it. Attention to detail of the finished product is sacrificed leaving the homeowner with a list of disappointments which are frustrating to try to get resolved.

Horrible experience with workmanship and quality

It was apparent that the contractors held no regard for the quality of their work for the price point of this home. From the crooked front porch pillars, to the spilled concrete areas on drive and front porch, to the already crumbling mortar, crooked brick and stone work, finding screws into main water lines and black mold less than 2 months after moving in, scratched windows, hard water stains a third up the cement siding, wrong luxury vinyl plank placed in home...the list continues. And then to have the home appraise for $30,000 less than selling price.

Beazer Homes responded:

1. Overall OK initial buying experience, but would appreciate more details to be available upfront like location of electrical boxes/internet boxes. Poor information available on the equipment to be used in the house depending on the option chosen - we got a faulty dishwasher and the warranty does not include replacement with a new one. 2. OK home building supervision at the early stage of the construction, very poor supervision and management during the rest (most) of the construction time. Poor transparency, poor follow-up and poor anticipation. Numerous mistakes/issues noticed by us which ...

Mistakes are covered up and ignored due to lack of attention to details. Vendors doesn’t treat the house as your home. The sales team was fabulous but overwhelmed with complaints bu still tried to be supportive. The building manager could not stay abreast of vendors building the house this mistakes, garbage and damage to the house. Such as water damages, materials and painting errors. Stay on top of what’s being done in your home.

We bought a home that the builder built with no buyer. They chose all of the options and lot. While we love the floor plan and the options, the workers attention to detail is definitely lacking. Things like the bathroom lights not covering the holes in the wall, paint splattered all over our hardwood floor, nicks and dings everywhere. Stay on top of them!

Disappointment from the start

Our experience with Beazer Homes has been bad from the start. Communication from the start was poor and it remained poor throughout. The actual build was subpar, they used crooked boards, bowed boards, primary bathroom doors were placed in a secondary closet, door pegs were placed where no doors were located, crack in the ceiling, cabinets were a disaster. Wiring for lighting was not working, only one wire was hot so we can only use our ceiling fan, not the light. Shower door leaked until someone came in and said whoever installed it initially did a crap job, he had to take the shower ...

This has been the most awful experience I have had in a new home. I have had five new homes and sold new homes and represented 6 new home builders in 34 years of selling real estate as one of the top realtors in Indianapolis. Never have I or my clients experienced this lack of quality or customer service. No heat to speak of for a week of severe cold which apparently could no be diagnosed as to the problem. Now we have fire alarms going off periodically in the middle of the night. This needs to be fixed. I am letting my real estate know of these issues and other more minor issues. We need ...

After having Beazer build a home for my mother, we thought we could entrust Beazer with our next project. All started well and had a great sales person who went above and beyond to make our process enjoyable. The shortcomings of everyone else quickly tainted the wonderful job that JB had done up until that point. Beazer tried to push the close date of our house to meet their fiscal year closing. The down turn started when we showed up to our final inspection and walk through and encountered a house without appliances, missing toiler and wrong closet doors.... just to name a few. There ...

The staff comes off as helpful at first but when you discover major issues that’s when the disappearing act happens. We bought a spec home and moved from another state. The quality of the house is incredibly poor. Mud work of drywall is at a no skill level. They use matte paint to hide all the blemishes everywhere else.
