The actual purchase and closing went fine. Super easy. Once we moved in, we ran into a big issue with our HVAC and blower motor in the attic. It was installed backwards which caused the thermostat on our dryer to blow out. Our HVAC was a manufacturer issue but should have been caught by Airtron. Actually both things should have been caught by Airtron. We are a month on and still getting the issues resolved. I think there should be a follow up walk thru 2-4 weeks after moving in and using everything.

This is our 4th new construction home & although all of them had problems typical to new construction this Beazer home was truly a nightmare from beginning(lying sales girl who "forgot" to tell us the $10,000 rebate she promised was a no go) to the very end, when the Corporate Director of Construction was scrambling to get enough things fixed so we would close. I will say that the incredibly long problem list is, at least so far, mostly cosmetic in nature and fixable. However, there are some that are not fixable like the powder room toilet being so close to the wall a really heavy person ...

Make sure that you know the quality of the standard products verses the upgrades. and the finishing results of the painting and the windows and the drywall is a little questionable. I just feel that for a home over $330,000 I should see pristine quality finishes. We have already replaced the shower heads and some faucets. We will also need to hire painters to improve the quality of the interior paint. Very disappointed with the end results we were given.

Multiple pieces of work were completed much after I moved in. During the building process i noticed that many of the studs were cracked all through and the earlier builder (first of 3) told me those would be replaced. I was later told that the cracked studs do not impact the main structure...my question was why put damaged studs, no replacements done. Some of the doors are not aligned correctly, this is quality control The painting job wasn't good, 2 months after moving in i am still noticing color differences. This may be minor to the management, but is poor quality to the end user. If ...

Poor Follow Up

Prior to buying the home, things went somewhat smooth. We had a bump in the road with the our cash off the price. Due to some poor communication. After purchasing and moving in we had a few issues with sod and our hvac. Caleb had zero urgency in rectifying the issues which left us without AC for about a week during the hottest week of the year. In a brand new home, we felt that was just unacceptable. However, the rest of the experience has been good.

Nice home, but with several flaws

The drywall had patches where it was not sanded smooth prior to painting, The paint had in some places small imperfections where dirt or dust was trapped in paint roller. Caulking around corners of bathroom vanity and around other fixtures was haphazard, and looked rushed and unprofessional. The paint covering the wall was a light minimal coat, again, like rush a job to get it completed. Overall the home is nice, but I don't think there is quality built in. I would have preferred to wait a few more months to close on the house, and have a higher quality finish at the end.

1.) We purchased a wooded lot only to find out it is actually a swamp land swarming with mosquitos. I’ve brought it up to our supertendent and been told nothing can be done. 2.) Beazer should hire a new trim contractor. Our baseboards and shoe molding were very poorly installed. Our boards running up the sides of our basement stairs had gouges and nails hammered over sideways. 3.) It took 7 months from the time we signed our agreement until we moved in. We were told it would take 4-5 months. All the while we were seeing contractors working on spec homes down the street while our home sat ...

Disappointing final product

I love my floorplan and home, but definitely would not recommend building when closing will fall near the end of their fiscal year (September) ... priority is given to their quota and the building process is rushed (and perhaps compromised) to meet it. Attention to detail of the finished product is sacrificed leaving the homeowner with a list of disappointments which are frustrating to try to get resolved.

It was apparent that the contractors held no regard for the quality of their work for the price point of this home. From the crooked front porch pillars, to the spilled concrete areas on drive and front porch, to the already crumbling mortar, crooked brick and stone work, finding screws into main water lines and black mold less than 2 months after moving in, scratched windows, hard water stains a third up the cement siding, wrong luxury vinyl plank placed in home...the list continues. And then to have the home appraise for $30,000 less than selling price.

1. Overall OK initial buying experience, but would appreciate more details to be available upfront like location of electrical boxes/internet boxes. Poor information available on the equipment to be used in the house depending on the option chosen - we got a faulty dishwasher and the warranty does not include replacement with a new one. 2. We bought a home that the builder built with no buyer. They chose all of the options and lot. While we love the floor plan and the options, the workers attention to detail is definitely lacking. Our experience with Beazer Homes has been bad from the start. Communication from the start was poor and it remained poor throughout.
