Purchase of townhouse at The Hunt Club

I made the decision to purchase a townhouse at Hunt Club because I was downsizing from a larger home. I was able to close and move in 30 days because this townhouse was built and ready for move-in. From the sales agent, Missy, to everyone else involved in the process, things have happened as planned within reason. I had also done a Google search to learn about the quality of construction through Beazer Homes. They were ranked in the top 15 across the country.

We closed after waiting 17mo due to supply chain delays. In the end there were a few things not completed and we were concerned closing without them finished. However Beazer followed thru and quickly had them done and followed up on our satisfaction. I heard nightmare stories from other builders with home buyers waiting a year later. In our case it was all completed within a few weeks of closing. Very pleased with the customer service.

The closing took place in the Sycamore Chase model so it was very convenient. The attorney was 3 hours late due to a flat tire but he was ready when he arrived and the closing took no more than 30 minutes. We had no mortgage to close.

Great plans location and price but poor construction quality.

I liked their plans, they are budget homes. But the quality is poor. I am not expecting great quality but was thinking it should be decent. No craftmanship. Small.small things are not correct. For eg. Light switch fixture is not in straight line, I have bathroom countertop made with two stones so have joint line in there. Overall if we ignore craftsmanship its all okey.

Overall, I love my townhouse! Brandon and Laura at Beazer are great! Throughout the process I did go through several new home reps and construction managers which was frustrating, but I’m happy I ended up with these two. I especially enjoyed the ability to visit multiple times and ask questions pertaining to the building process and technical aspects of the various interior appliances. I continue to adjust to the different heating and tankless systems; the team has been very responsive to all questions and concerns. Never recieved hoa rules at closing. John M

What continues to be a problem is that we have not received a copy of the hoa guidelines. Beazer was suppose to deliver a paper copy at the closing. We are seniors and I cannot download the info. As far as issues go, we are waiting on a few that have now gone into the 3rd or 4th week.

The build time was long…way longer than expected. However, my salesperson (William) and superintendent (Mike) were always very responsive and kept me in the loop along the way. I worked with a total of three superintendents throughout my build and Mike was by far the most communicative and helpful and I appreciated him going above and beyond yo finally get things pushed through for me in the end. I have had a few things come up after moving in and the warranty department has been easy to deal with but scheduling with the trades that actually complete the work has been hit or miss at times. ...

Be sure to do the walk throughs!

Everyone seemed very conscientious with multiple walk throughs I only did the second to final walk through. I felt like they had it covered but now I wish I had paid more attention as there were several things they missed. And it taking a long time to get these items taken care of! I've called about an AT&T cable on my front lawn multiple times but can't seem to get anything accomplished. They are supposed to fix the interior items and I believe they will but its taking a long time.

The Beazer Duet Messina is a great option for us and we are excited about living here. It’s a very good house. However, that next level of care was missing. The home was never cleaned properly despite multiple requests, so we did it ourselves. And lots of little details in the finish work suggest speed was more important than quality (e.g., painting, grouting, landscaping). I understand the business, but I wish the finish work was done with greater care.

Sales team was helpful both Eric and Lauren, they made themselves available to help navigate the process. Even when needing to pickup keys during Xmas time, they found someone to come to the office to support our odd hours, as we had been away internationally.

For the home price, workers should pay more attention to details. Trim work painting and caulking is bad. Back porch concrete left stained and chipped. Cleaning team needs to do a better job. Had to vacuum my cabinets left with debris and clean the tub. Kitchen sink had scratches. Overall content with our home, just wish someone would pay more attention to details.

The overall buying experience with Beazer homes is good. The entire team is very friendly and ready to provide all the necessary information. We have received weekly progress updates over email along with photos which was really a good part. The closing was done without any issue and the team has provided multiple walkthroughs of the house. The build quality is good just that at few places it could have been better, like the backyard drainage system is missing the underground pipe and which makes the backyard muddy when it rains and takes time to dry.

Beazer is who I chose to build my first home. My experience was smooth and well orchestrated from the start and I felt confident in the quality of the product I was purchasing.
