Buying experience great, materials and work done bad

The overall buying experience was great even though our house took over a year to be completed. Once we moved in, we realized the materials used and work done is horrible. It’s like the did everything in a rush and didn’t care how the final result looks like. We keep finding issues with our home such as damaged blinds, shower door leaking water, caulking in multiple places is cracking, carpet falling apart (shedding), toilet not installed correctly, issues with cabinets and much more. I will not be purchasing homes with Beazer in the future.

Beazer Homes responded:
Thank you for sharing with us, Andrea. We're thrilled to know that your buying experience was a positive one, but are sorry to hear you've had concerns regarding the quality of your home. We would love to work with you to have your concerns addressed. We will have a representative reaching out shortly to discuss further. Wishing you the best. - Roland ...

I would say the experience in buying was great but the wait was not so great. Many issues needed to be addressed once we moved in and they have done well in completing them but not enough information/instructions on appliances and functional items for future projects and repairs.

My closing date was pushed up by 2 months, and the way I was supposedly notified was via email. Finally Beazers salesman called me to let me know I was in a violation of my contract ( because I haven't locked an interest rate in), and that's how I found out. The product that produced was good, but the hassle with it all had me wanting to backout at least 3 times during the process.

Beazer Homes responded:
Congratulations on your new home, Jeffrey! We're sorry to hear that your sales experience was less than desirable, but we are thrilled to know that you are loving the home provided. The home buying process was smooth with the Beazer team. The downside was that we had a leaky sink, a heater that installed incorrectly and would not heat the house, the new oven did not work at has taken 2 months to fix. Also, the dishwasher was wouldn’t drain at first, the air conditioner was too close to the wall per the code, as well as other minor cosmetic fixes needing to be done.

Beazer Homes responded:
Thank you providing your feedback. We are glad you had a smooth homebuying experience and we thank you for understanding that the new home journey may occasionally have a bump in the road. When deciding to purchase a new build we went with Beazer because the Sales Representative Monika was quick to get back to us and answer any questions we might have. The process was slow and there were delays some due to material shortages others due to personnel and priority to spec homes. We finally were able to close on our home but it was far from quality work. The paint job was terrible with multi shades, random brush strokes, missed spots, and drips. The drywall tape lines show across the ceilings and there are cracks and poor repair work that show. There are holes, dents and ...

My experience overall was somehwat satisfied. The builders tried to work with us on the price of the home and the deal we got for our home was very good. Except when they didn't tell us that we needed to settle on the home before September was over or they were going to take back the discount. That was very stressful to deal with that bc loans don't get approved right away. But luckily, it was settled on time. Also, beware that the home does not come with washer and dryer, our counselor told us that it does come with a washer and dryer, but he tricked us! to get us to buy the home. I love our ...

I like our new home but the construction quality leaves much to be desired. Things that we were promised were not delivered. Answers went unanswered. Construction was slow moving yet overly sloppy and quick at times. The quality of everything from windows to hinges seem to be second rate and much will end up being replaced. Also, not enough choices were given in the building material and other items. No deviation at all was allowed. Painting and wall board taping was so bad I will have to end up repainting almost everything. They need better quality control and someone who can respond quickly ...

For the most part very satisfied with my new home. The design is absolutely beautiful. The process to get my new home could have been better. It would have been nice to know exactly how much land I would end up with as backyard and side before purchase. Since you don't know where exactly they will place the house on the lot makes it difficult to know what space you will have around the home. There were also some issues inside the house that had to be corrected so early into moving in. Overall if you look at the big picture I love my new home and am happy with the purchase.

Our experience was a mixed one. Firstly, it took a very long time to complete. We understand these are turbulent times with all kinds of supply issues ect. So, no one is to blame for that but maybe the current administration. We love our home and love living here. What needs to be mentioned is the people who are in charge of the trades. Their job is to make sure the trades do an acceptable job building the home. In our case the person in charge of our home missed a lot of things. There are too many issues to name here. Our overall experience was good but we did have delays in closing and there were some things that weren't completed on the final walk through. they told us that it would be completed but when we called back to follow up we were told that it would be handled under warranty, which is not what they said on closing day. it took several weeks to get it fixed so I feel like I was getting the runaround. Poor experience

I am very disappointed with the carelessness and poor protection of counter tops, flooring, cabinetry, as a result of people (primarily contractors) improperly placing tools and causing damage. I am also disappointed that Beazer staff did not resolve these matters prior to final inspection. The post move-in 45-day, 90-day follow-up appointments for inspection and repairs have been delayed. Everyone involved in the build of new homes should treat each new home as if it were their own home and paid with their hard owned money. This will be my first and last Beazer purchase.

Beautiful and quality home, typical home buying experience

The final product is fantastic! Love my new home. The buying process was typical though. Our house was delayed 3 months and while it was expected with all the supply problems, we were hardly notified. We were talked down to when we asked questions as if we should know the answer. Once we were able to move in, they seemed to wipe their hands clean and move on to the next house. I’ve put in a warranty request form for a number of items and after the first week and haven’t heard anything since. I’ve heard this same thing about other builders but was hoping Beazer would be more professional.

Overall, we are very happy with our Beazer home. It's beautiful and spacious. The experience, however, left very much to desire. We signed our contract in June 2021, and we were told that the estimated closing date would be January or February of 2022. Unfortunately, we were not able to close until the end of August 2022. There were very many issues we had at closing of our home/ I fully understand all the delays in supply issues and getting permits from county.
