House is good - the yard and your contractors HORRIBLE!

The buying process was good. I felt the preferred lenders were a little aggressive. The builder listened to my comments and concerns through the building process. Although, sometimes I had to give reminders. The sales/building team had regular calls which was great since we were not nearby. My biggest issue has been the yard. The yard was put in early May. We closed at the end of May. It is now almost the end of July and the yard is still on a punch out list and not addressed. That has been very disappointing - as I like a good looking yard and they knew it was important to me. Now ...

More issues than expected

The care that went into building the home was not up to our expectations. We had to many issues with trash and food being left in the walls of the home when building. Once we moved in, we started to notice that nothing was painted on the underside. Window seals, ledges, counter areas. The caulking in every room must be re done, it is all pulling away and creating gaps. The AC does not cool all the rooms the same. Three room are much warmer that the master bedroom or the living room. The issue with having to have a pool pass, and then having to drive a hour away to go get it one is beyond ...

The people at Beazer are great to deal with but, unfortunately, getting things done right the first time seems to take a backseat to speed of construction. We are slowing working through issues but still have a lengthy list of items to address as well as the inconvenience of having to wait in 4 hour time-frames for various contractors to remedy items that should have been correct at construction time. While all new construction will have punch list items, this one was much more than expected or necessary. Would definitely recommend close scrutiny at any walk-through opportunities prior to ...

Disappointing Craftsmanship; Great Sales Person

Our experience with working with the Sales Representative, Tom, was great. Tom was very thorough and supported us through the entire sales related process. However the build craftsmanship was mediocre at best. Too many issues to report them all. In summary, no attention to detail - appeared speed of completing (in some cases, not completing) task was the goal. And, the landscaping in terms of grading and sod was horrible. Sod laid on top of large rocks, plastic trash, even a broken pressure gage was the norm.

Everything looks great with my new home except some hiccups. Construction quality is great, location is perfect keeping all aside I am still having trouble with water pooling in back yard and between properties, dry wall cracks are popping out in less than a month from closing. Reached warranty support. They came but did nothing. I would suggest to be more cautious in these areas for new home buyers

I think overall we are happy with our home and happy with our neighborhood, but the process to get here is why the rating is only a 3. Our project manager was not attentive and lack the attention to detail on expects when building a home. One example, of many, would be called for a final inspection and a seers inspection when you know there is a window still missing. There were also several instances where we felt we were flat out lied to. Now that we are in our home and can fix the mistakes directly related to our PM we love the house, but that does not change the fact that we still ...

We purchased the home for fast buy. We completely love the floor plan of the home we are not completely satisfied with the quality. Such as, the dish washer is awful, it is cheap and doesnt clean the dishes. I actually had mold on the dishes from the moisture in the dish washer. The bathroom shower rod is so cheap it fell apart when we tried to use it and we had to replace it. One of the front windows is not sealed correctly, when the weather is windy you can actually hear and feel air blowing in thought the closed window. In the kitchen we disnt received sink stoppers, the glass doors's ...

Never was there more truth to the concept “You get what you pay for “. The people that you deal with during the sales and initial construction are great. But the materials and workmanship/craftsmanship is not up to my standard. Sad that the craftsman working in your home most likely was not doing this job 6 months ago and most likely won’t be there six months from now. Back to the material, stay on them in that first 45 days and prior to closing. ;) you will Love the two guys we worked with though.

The design of the homes and options are great. They look really nice from afar and the neighborhood and area are great. The workmanship and materials really bring it down though. Materials are cheap and the contractors don’t do a great job. Be sure to have a whole roll of blue tape and be prepared to call warranty out several times in the first few days. Also be ready to call a good painter out and a good landscaping company because those in particular are bad.

There are already places outside that need to be repainted because they weren't prepped well. Particle board cabinetry is showing problems within a couple of weeks. They give no choice in landscaping, so we've had to pull ugly plants to put in nice ones.

I must say I do love my house ,but there were things that Iwanted that to me was so simple I did white cabinets in my kitchen but I want to do gray cabinets on the bottom same style cabinet just different color on the bottom, and was told NO we don't do that I also wanted pulls on all the cabinets and was also told NO. There are other things that we were not happy about I should have realized it when I wanted to make a change after we signed contracts when you are spending all this money on a home your building I think you should be able to make it yours, your style and not be told NO !!!

I am a bit disappointed at Beazer's level of communication and overall follow through. There are still unpainted screens on some of the neighbor's balconies, the fence is falling over in one place, the landscaping is not very fleshed out, the street signs are incorrect (still), there's a construction permit box still standing, and the streets are as yet unpaved. The only person who seemed to care enough to follow up with the residents is Jason. Cheryl was nice, but often left clueless because the builders would not give her any information.

I really wanted to like Beazer homes. They have nice floor plans, great sales folks. The initial construction project lead listened but eventually our house was turned over to a assistant who failed to send any communication until I eventually complained. The house sat for several months when this happened they did not want to provide any type of adjusted completion dates so I could make plans for temporary housing whole I waited for the house to be finished. They failed to c ok molested final walk thru items such such as touch up paining on the exterior of the house after several reminders. ...

The Beazer townhome we bought is really good and we really like it. The layout of the house is great and the construction team has been so great with helping us before and after we moved in! The sales people aren't so good though. They don't call back regarding issues and didn't account our wants during the buying process. I would recommend Beazer homes to anyone but they really have to call sales regularly regarding issues to get them resolved in time.
