Lots of Problems

We had serious problems with: electrical wiring (island light boxes had no caps on the wires or in two of the bedrooms), the additional cable hook-ups weren't wired, electrician didn't show up four times to do the repairs, vent-a-hood had packing materials left in it, plumbing problems (toilet and shower drain not mounted properly), damage to the microwave, dining room window appears to have a crack, paint/texture issues in every room, drywall cracks in ceiling multiple of rooms(appears that the texture would fall off if you touched the crack), inside doors sticking or won't stay shut. Still ...

I’ve been trying to be patient but there are a few things that just haven’t sit right with me. First, we weren’t told that mailboxes wouldn’t be installed until a certain percentage of homes were built when we first signed the contract. We were told this after the house was built, causing us to scramble around and figure out how we were going to get our mail. Second, because of the mailbox situation, our address isn’t fully established, causing missed deliveries with packages, and causing friends and family to not even be able to locate our home using navigation other than Google ...

Disappointed with interior work

  • Margaret M.

We’ve been in the house for 3 months. We’re disappointed with the interior finishing construction on the inside. We’ve had quite a few major problems. The master bathroom has cracked sink and shower needs major work. Our roof leaked during a storm, cold are coming through the vents in master bedroom and microwave. Finished trim work is poor. Had to replace the stove-fire hazard. That’s just a few. It’s under warranty but no one has come over to fix those listed above for a month. Contractor told us to wait about 6 months to see if the roof leaks again. Extremely disappointed!

Beazer as a company does not have any interest in the home buyer. Everything Beazer does is for Beazer. It was apparent that the contractors held no regard for the quality of their work for the price point of this home. From the crooked front porch pillars, to the spilled concrete areas on drive and front porch, to the already crumbling mortar, crooked brick and stone work, finding screws into main water lines and black mold less than 2 months after moving in, scratched windows, hard water stains a third up the cement siding, wrong luxury vinyl plank placed in home...the list continues. The quality of craftsmanship and effort putting these homes is poor. Our house was $900,000 to build and the cement on our back patio AND in our garage started crumbling before we even moved in. Tile work was poorly done and had to be torn out and replaced. The grout is unevenly spaced and for a bathroom that is all gray they put in brown grout which doesn’t make sense.
