Not so Dream house

Poor layout, poor design, cheap materials! The home designer designed this house with very little thought and outside-in! There are windows in the house that do not open (fixed windows). No lights in any of the rooms so at night one walks into a pitch dark room. Extremely poor master bedroom design that will not accommodate king size bed. No linen closet to store towels and other bathroom essentials. It's all about the money for this builder. I would not recommend this builder to anyone who's looking for their 1st home.

Beazer's end of year is end of September so when our home was close to completion they slammed it into what they considered a done phase. When we pointed out about 12 things on our punch list inclusing a cracked tub they basically forced us to close stating that they would charge us $2000 in fees for not closing. Our understaing is that they do this at the end of any/all months. Since then we had to become our own Project Managers to the point that they would ask us what still need to be completed. They will forget to order replacment pieces and then try and point the finger at a vendor or ...

I bought my townhouse from Beazer Home and moved in this July. Everything was perfect and I told all of my friends that Beazer Home is a perfect builder I recommend if they want to buy a house from Beazer Home. Until after I moved in two months when I got my first month water bill, I am really disappointed that Beazer Home do not take care it. My first month water bill was $596.3. The trade company they hire are sloppy. I'm very unhappy with paint speckles all over my cabinets, chandelier and hardwood floor. My front door has the ugliest paint job imaginable. The painters didn't cover anything while they painted. My electrical plates are all crooked. The outside of the homes has stuff installed crooked as well. My unfinished basement wasn't cleaned up. It has all the debris that was there from construction. I admire JT and Matt for helping me out with all my needs, but Beazer needs to fire their trade companies and hire people who care about their quality of work. ...

We have lived in our brand new house for almost 5 months and we are still having issues in our house that were never fixed. Some of these issues are from the inspection done a month before we even closed on the house. The more we live in the house, the more we see the flaws in the workmanship of the sub contractors because their only goal is to do the work as fast as they can to move on to the next house, even if that means cutting corners or doing sub standard work. It seems as soon as they get your money for the house, you are not important to provide customer service. They are very poor at ...

My experience was so frustrating, it is difficult to summarize. I'll say that there was no attention to detail. A level and tape measure would have gone a long way. Near closing, when something was pointed out and rectified, more problems were created. For example, the floor people didn't care about the texture on the walls. The tile people didn't care about the counters, and on and on and on. Near, and even after closing, as soon as one crew left, I noted damage to other areas of the house. When those areas were repaired, other areas were damaged. I feel my story sounds unbelievable, ...

My garage door doesn’t close properly. Lies after lies. We had 4 builders. All said we want you to be happy. I would of never closed on this house with what I’ve been through. After spending over $400,000 for a new home we expected to move into a completed home. Instead we will be inconvenienced for months as you come back in to fix or finish a long list of items. Beazer homes have nice designs and well distributed space inside their homes, however the company does not pay attention to supervising subcontractors and they do a very poor job. The sales only want the buyer to close swiftly as soon as the house is finished and don't want to fix anything major before the closing date other than paint touch ups. When buying a new home or having one built, remember the builders are not your friends. They will make promises and you will want to believe them but when it comes down to it they seldom keep any promises. I'm hoping the warranty department will change my opinion but I'm not holding my breath. And the final walk through is a bait and switch.
