The initial application process was great and I was kept up to date with the progress of the building. However, there were certain things I was not made aware of and which I was upset to find out later. I have spent over $12000 prior to and after moving in, to do certain upgrades that I would have liked to be given the option at the onset. I have had to install back splash tiles on the kitchen wall, long kitchen sink faucet, under cabinet rolling trash collector, hang additional lights, towel hangers in the bathroom, moving the wall sockets up to accommodate TVs to be hanged and installing a ...

I love my Beazer Home! It comes with a year warranty, so the little things that needed fixed, are being fixed as we speak. However, I was not offered window blinds in the beginning of the build! I'm the only house in my neighborhood and block that don't have blinds, it bothers me! I spoke with several people whom still have not resolved the issue for me, I still have not received a call back. Tomatoes! The home is absolutely gorgeous other than that!

Beazer Homes responded:
Shana, thank you for sharing with us. We're sorry to hear that your experience with the blinds has been less than desirable. We have reached out to the local division to ask that you be contacted for the blinds concern. We are thrilled, however, to hear that you are overall very happy with your new home and we wish you a lifetime of happiness in your new build. - Roland ...

Great Home / Poor Building Process

We love our home but the building process lacked timely/detailed updates, timeline, and customer service. Mike M. (our designated salesperson) was not very helpful and lacked the customer experience during the process. However, Stephanie Hassell was very informative during the process especially since she was not our delegated sales rep. She went above and beyond just due to her kind nature and personality.

Beazer stole us from Taylor Morrison thanks to Thuan. Thuan was amazing from the beginning and even now that we have been in our Beazer home for 2 months. Jake on the other hand was not pleasant to work with. From making excuses, lying, no communication like the paperwork said, to not Mentioning even the hiccups in building. Also with issues that were addressed that were never fixed and now us having to put in work orders to get them done even when we asked about them before closing. This is why I gave 3 stars. The home is beautiful and the quality of the materials is good. But you need to stay on top of the small details towards the end of the build as they are moving very quickly through all these builds and no one pays attention to the little things like yourself. Also check the furnishings against the what you have selected. Items can be easily missed. Associates are friendly and helpful.

Thank you for this review. Your feedback will help Beazer create an outstanding experience for future homeowners. They are following through after close, but it was a long painful build process. The lack of ability to remove the original general contractor has put the entire community behind schedule and at poor quality. Six weeks post close, we still do not have a functioning faucet in a bathroom.

Lack of quality control

After moving in there has been issue after issue. Details. I recommend bringing your own “blue tape” at the walk through and “take your time” to catch ALL issues. Leave no corner. I’m still finding things that if not repaired will lead to huge expenses. I was told they would come back they didn’t. My cabinets don’t close all the way, stairs are not even, paint caked up in areas… my neighbors have shared similar issues. Where is the quality control? Stop throwing these homes together and start checking these things.

Beazer Homes responded:

Great House - Awful Experience and Communication

The house is great quality built with great materials. Beazer outsources all their work to local/regional trades so the quality is fantastic. The actual Beazer team is where we hit all the issues. The communication was awful throughout the building process, we often received false updates and our house was delayed 4 months. They are unwilling to push or try to pivot anything. They just say "This is the way it is now". Other family members of mine have used other builders during this same time and they all were completed on-time or early because beazers competitors made pivots.

This was our first home-building experience which made my husband and I extremely excited about the opportunity. Also, extremely nervous as we didn’t know what to expect. It was April of 2021 when we decided to sign up for this adventure. And what an adventure indeed. Everything was "hurry up decide" only to make us wait. This should have been our red flag and should have walked away. Unfortunately, because of the housing market, we didn’t have too many options. We were told on Saturday to hurry and decide by Monday if we wanted to buy the house, or we would have to pay a higher price for ...

Sales team had no communication till the very end. And even that was had to get from them. Annabelle and Jessica both lied to us about paperwork that they failed to turn in. Got keys 4 days later than when we were supposed to. On the other hand the builders and the builders customer service were amazing! Richard really took care of us and continues to do so. The buying process of working with Beazer was fine. No problems. The condition of the unit is another story. Had/have three doors with issues. Initially, the visit to the model homes were a great experience. The agent for Beazer and models was open and professional. We made an offer on a completed model home and it was accepted by Beazer. Once we moved into the initial process to complete purchase, earnest money, lender approval, and escrow, there was little contact with Beazer. Many things were done brilliantly! Many things are the worst quality I have seen in over 45 years of building experience! Was it COVID? Lack of competent workers?
