A lot of things seemed really good at first, but after a few weeks in the house we are seeing a lot of quality issues that didn’t hold up well. Cracks in grout, cracks in paint in certain areas. Just a lot of little things.

Beazer's warranty department had to send most trades (eg. Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, and etc) to resolve issues in the month since I moved into my new house.

The whole experience sucked! It started off very slow. The construction manager started off good but the disappeared and eventually was replaced. The construction crew were so sloppy and dirty leaving trash everywhere and even used the restroom in the house. Very unsanitary! The salesman was great

I would say overall our experience was pleasant however we did have a period of time where we lost our original construction manager and was replaced by another. I believe this process delayed our build substantially but we were never briefed on it. I’m not sure if it was the market or supply chain issues but it took 11 months from foundation pour to close. Our close date was pushed back multiple times and sometimes we didn’t know until 12 hours before closing. It was pretty frustrating.
Beazer Homes responded:

We would like to apologize for the delays during your home construction and have shared your comments with our management team. I feel the house is qualm. However, the sales experience was terrible. Mistakes in the design of my build causes an over 3 month delay. Also, had a sales person tell me I could walk away, this was after waiting over 5 months.
Beazer Homes responded:
David, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We apologize for the delays you encountered and the experience you have described. Your feedback has been shared with our management team. Horrible and rushed build/ experience.
- Donnell B.

Once your home is built. They do not return your calls for nothing. They rush the build and make a tone of mistakes, bad measurements, do not clean your home at all after the construction is finished. I had to have them come back in to clean and still paid a company to come and deep clean. They graded my right side of the yard wrong and water pools and they will do nothing about it after I have shared my storm water and pooling concerns to the build manager Joe. I will never recommend Beazer or it’s affiliated to anyone. There isn’t any pride and concerns with building any part of the homes.
Beazer Homes responded:
Donnell, thank you for being open and honest with us. Without your feedback, we would not be able to grow as a company. We apologize if your new home experience did not meet your expectations. While we try to ensure that every home is flawless, we understand that there will be times where some work will be needed after closing. We have invested more than half a million dollars into our new home, expecting quality finishings. We chose Beazer because they seemed to be an experienced quality builder, even in COVID impacted times. Sadly, after waiting almost 4 months longer than originally expected, the results are not impressive. Missing insulation, bad plumming, very low-quality paint job, poor water drainage, crooked walls, A/C issues, loose wall fixings, among others. They are covering most issues with the warranty, and I get that COVID has impacted our lives, but for such an expensive investment, things should not ...

Homes are nicely designed but the overall fit and finishes could be much better for the price we spent on our home. Beazer should do a completion walkthrough and inspect the home for completeness and quality completion prior to the new homeowners' walkthrough. Lots of issues that were found could have been resolved with better time management by Beazer and not rushing to completion.

There were some issues that would have improved the experience. There were no options for paint colors/types choices and the walls should have been painted in semi-gloss. There were visually blemished items found in the walk-through that a Beazer rep should have spotted and remedied before our walk-through. Some of the walls are not even close to being straight/perpendicular. Our dryer vent was not vented to the outside at all and ended inside the ceiling above the front porch. I will say that customer service has been great at addressing my concerns. Unfortunately, I'm quite disappointed with the home. From ill fitting moldings and trim, crooked toilets, scratched windows, bad interior painting, damaged counter top corners, possibly missing some padding beneath carpet, some door hinge pins not fully seated, a cheap stove, bathtub mysteriously damaged after walk through and distance between homes appear much closer than originally advertised. Unfortunately, I would most likely not consider a Beazer home again.

Overall happy with my purchase - but several outstanding problems .I was very frustrated by the poor communication about delays during the building process. My closing date was changed twice - once with less than 48 hours notice. The finishes in the home are poor - lots of grout on counters, sloppy painting, exposed nails on the balcony, etc. I felt pushed to sign off during the final walk through under the threat that my closing would be delayed again if I kept pushing for the home to be properly completed. The actual purchase of the house went well, however, the follow through has been extremely frustrating. We have been extremely frustrated by how many things are wrong with our home and the pushback and follow through on things being rectified. The process of buying was very pleasant and exciting. The complacency and lack/slowness of action on significant warranty issues has greatly tempered that excitement. The building has been "completed for almost a year now, and still dealing with significant problems with security system, exterior lighting, and rain water leakage (leakage may have been fixed last week, waiting for next rain to confirm).
