Beazer Homes - The process with Beazer was not the best.

The process with Beazer was not the best. Buying the home, we were told a late June / early July delivery. The first delivery date came back at the end of the July. After several discussions, the sales representative was able to get it moved "up" to a mid-July delivery. The punch list process was also rough as many of the items from our walk through were not completed on closing day. Therefore, we had to delay closing for several hours while they rushed crews over to finish the work. The final punch work was also slow to be completed. We're happy with the overall home, but you need to stay on ...

Be very very specific about questions you have and write down the answers, or email for a paper trail. The customer care center is very slow. We are waiting over 2 months for some warranty fixes, even after calling everyone we know to call and get attention. We do love our home and the neighborhood!
Beazer Homes responded:
We completely understand your concerns with the timing of service and apologize for any delays. Safety is our top priority, and the Covid19 challenges we have faced this year, with scheduling in-home appointments, can sometimes take longer than we would like. The building process was great. However, our oven wouldn’t work and it took a month for Whirlpool to come fix it. We just ran the heater for the first time and it wouldn’t heat. I called the Beazer warranty office and there was no sense of urgency. Someone reached out after hours and said they would have someone who is on call contact me but no one ever did. I am still waiting on someone to reach out this morning. When you spend this much money on a house, everything should work the first time.

The initial buying process was great. The design center was great. However, when it came to the finishing touches on our home, many things were overlooked. My husband and I emailed about several issues we wanted fixed. Which they attempted to fix for us before closing and we were pleased with at the time. But, now after living here a month, realized some of their “fixes” were just bandaids. Paint is chipping off, low spots in the floors, and tile work that was hastily installed. Overall the home is still very pretty, we were just disappointed in the hasty work that was done in the last week ...

The buying and closing were the easy part but once occupying the space was a different story. I would recommend the builders to give the new home owners at least 30 days vs the 10 days for post move-in inspection. Many of us like myself did not move into the house immediately after closing, it was a few weeks later due to my lease and not living in the new home, it's not enough time for the 10-day inspection. I understand there is also a 11-month follow up but if a home owner is given 30-days, it may minimize the 11-month follow up inspection list and issues from occupancy. I have been in ...

The house is nice but not perfect. We have had issues with the flooring from day 1 and we are now almost three months in and still no resolution. Builder has the flooring installer look, flooring installer has a QA person look, QA person sends another QA person, who then says it's a manufacturer defect and it will take 6 weeks for a manufacturer rep to come out. Still waiting on that. HVAC is supposed to be efficient single unit dual zone for a 3,600 square foot house. Won't cool the house sufficiently. I love this location, I chose the Brightwood model for the main floor living. The views from the windows are probably the best in Potomac Shores! However, as this may be one of Beazer's largest floor plans in Potomac Shores, not enough thought was given to create better options to utilize the space, I have a laundry closet, the smallest pantry, and there are literally three doors in my bathroom. I have lots of ideas to use this space better, like perhaps moving the laundry room to the basement to open up pantry space on the main level. Also, I love the master bathtub, but there could ...

I’ll start by letting you know i have with this home have bought 5 homes. So I’ve been here before, first off the whole contract and purchasing process was a breeze and any questions we had were answered. Majority is positive so instead of 2 stars i gave 3. There are small concerns which unfortunately went unseen but the reason for only 3 stars is, not even a month out the ac unit wasn’t working properly and in arizona on a 111 degree(I think it was) day. Initially working with Corey, but then moved over to work with Bryan. Corey said a couple of things to get us interested and excited that, simply put, were lies. Only once we had closed and moved in, did one of those things become apparent (It would have been impossible to know earlier). The other thing I asked about, was told it was incorrect by Bryan, and I decided to proceed knowingly. It's frustrating not to be able to take people at face value, so if you're going to buy a home then I suggest you triple check everything, then follow up in and get a response in writing. The house is lovely, though I felt in the sales process they were not as transparent as they should have been. I had a few items I made clear were important to me and I was told they would be easily met only to find out it was known that wasn't possible or guaranteed. For the most part the sales process was seamless. After living in the house a while it feels a few things were rushed or shortcuts taken. Windows not quite at 90 degree angles that made blinds tricky. Baseboard separating from the wall and waiting still on someone to come fix it. Plumbing not put in right. They sod the front but ...

I bought a brand new home thinking less issues than a remodeled home. Boy, was I wrong. Having nearly two dozen of documented issues after settlement, several homes with water damage because they refused to install roof patio gutters and all that water pouring into the homes, electrical outlets and appliances not wired properly, crooked island issues, missing trim, grout, drywall mud, etc., the list from my house and others are endless. We bought our first home with great expectations and an abundance of nervous energy. While the pre closing experience was really impressive, the post closing thus far has been a challenge. Several issues observed under warranty and highlighted have slipped thru the cracks and just getting captured. Overall attention to detail also comes up short in a few places. While the layout of the home is beautiful, the quality of work is poor. The building process left us feeling exhausted, like less of a client and more of a checkbook. Client care could seriously be improved, cheap labor could be replaced by quality craftsmen, and contractors need to learn a thing or two about their own profession. We unfortunately frequently felt deceived, and like we honestly should have been paid to do the job since we ended up being the ones who had to manage everyone at the end of the day. Happy to have a new home even with the poor quality craftsmanship, but very very ...

I am not sure who thought it was a bright idea to build a partial trail so close to a home. I will say as the homeowner it was not such a bright idea. First of all I’d like to praise Don, the Construction Manager. He’s gone above and beyond for us in ways he shouldn’t have had to. Our initial experience was with a salesman named Ryan. We fell in love with the floor plan before we even arrived so it didn’t take much for us to sign a contract. During that process we negotiated for a fridge and specifically chose a fridge & agreed on it. Ryan wrote the contract. Over the next few days Ryan sent us several versions of the contract because our real estate agent kept finding mistakes he’d made. Apparently Ryan got transferred to another ...

Good morning, I recently purchased a house with Beazer. The local build team is great to work with and very responsive. The HOA is poorly run. The HOA will give a response but it is so vague it doesn't actually answer the question. The community pool has been finished since before we built and we will be lucky if it's open by the end of summer. The HOA does not take the requests of the homeowners seriously and we're paying for an amenity that was sold to us as useable this summer but is not open.
