Fast builder = cheap finishes : no upgrade options : no attention to detail

Home looks nice and the people that work for this builder is very good too (friendly and professional) The builder it self is fast however be ready to walk in to a new home with a bunch of defects and poor finishes. My experience at the design center was horrible as the options for upgrades are super limited. I’m now a month in to my home and there’s so much bad things with it that is hard to believe that is a brand new home. Forget about the unleveled floors and Crooked walls that’s only scratching the surface, I’m spending tons of money on painting stuff, fixing electrical outlets, and ...

Not Happy At All

Frankly, this was not a good purchase for us. Too many issues too soon. So many imperfections and the materials used are of poor quality. I got a used jet tub, cracks in the wall and something with the heater door that needed replacing. Please hire workers that cares about their work. And, to top it off, in the process of having it built, one of the workers took a dump and left it in the closet. Wished we had gone with another builder

I would never buy another Beazer home again. House was rushed being put together. I was forced into closing before the house was finished. If I did not close when they wanted me to they said they would take away all of my closing help. Have lived in the home for 45 days and have had numerous problems. House is currently up for sale and I just went to closing 9/28/18 today is 11/13/18.

Beazer Homes responded:

Beazer homes have nice designs and well distributed space inside their homes, however the company does not pay attention to supervising subcontractors and they do a very poor job. The sales only want the buyer to close swiftly as soon as the house is finished and don't want to fix anything major before the closing date other than paint touch ups. If you identify some issues and go to closing believing their promise that they will fix it later then you are by yourself after closing, it becomes a nightmare dealing with them. It takes endless calls to warranty representatives to do anything and ...

Good builder, horrible site managers

The process going in and building was straightforward. Beware the site building manager. In an intimidating way he will tell you he’ll take care of you after the sale of your house if you give him 5 stars or whatever their rating system. Don’t do that. He will totally ghost you after close. The site manager has little to no interaction in the process after close. This guy is just lying to get a good rating.

The salesperson was very helpful but since I moved into my home the customer service has been very disappointing and I can only imagine terrible service in the future. I haven’t been able to get dead trees that were installed replaced or even the size of light bulb required for the address fixture. I’ve purchased three new homes in my lifetime and this is by far the worst! Beazer should really look at the after sales department!

How not to treat future home owners

When buying a new home or having one built, remember the builders are not your friends. They will make promises and you will want to believe them but when it comes down to it they seldom keep any promises. I'm hoping the warranty department will change my opinion but I'm not holding my breath. And the final walk through is a bait and switch. They will have the place a mess (even though they say it will be cleaned) so that your attention is not where it should be. I have spoke to several neighbors and they have all said the same thing. IF your not happy with what you find DO NOT SIGN!

I have been waiting months for beazer to fix simple items that needed attention from construction. This has been a nightmare dealing with subcontractors all day. Appointments are routinely made and broken, and beazer allows it to happen. The quality control by beazer over their subs is the worst I’ve ever experienced in the trades. I love the floor plan and location of my home, but wish it was being built by anyone else. I am hoping theses things will be done so I can enjoy my new home.

Incredibly poor craftsmanship and lack of ownership of the obvious problems

The staff comes off as helpful at first but when you discover major issues that’s when the disappearing act happens. We bought a spec home and moved from another state. The quality of the house is incredibly poor. Mud work of drywall is at a no skill level. They use matte paint to hide all the blemishes everywhere else. I have crooked floors and a crooked ceiling and still nothing resolved. I can go on forever and write a book of the this horrific experience and poorest craftsmanship. I’m at a point that I look forward for Beazer to step up to the plate and go beyond than what’s expected, but ...
