Not so good home buying experience

The home buying experience with Beazer Homes was not good. The original builder by the name of Jack was very rude, uncouth and had no scruples at all. I was sold a floor plan that included a tub and a shower in the master bath but Jack the builder did what he wanted to do and I ended up with a shower and a linen closest as a shower. The house was framed in January 2022 but didn't finish until August of 2022. No one could seem to get my house finished in a timely manner. It was an awful experience working with the Beazer Home team . The communication was not open. Initially the team was very push. They something & then deliver something else. I hate to remind Baezer Homes that they are selling homes not used car. They only person that helped us the construction manager. I would never recommend anyone for this company. In consideration of supply issues, it took 1 year to complete the build/purchase of my home. This home was not ready for closing. Too many issues which I am still trying to get fixed. Things pointed out during pre construction and pre drywall were never fixed. Options paid for but installation is atrocious. I have paid good money to try to address design deficiencies because of your minimal cutting corners on the hvac. Mold and condensation should not be present a week before closing. Multiple missing or poor workmanship everywhere and now Beazer wants me to be the person who has to know what is missing or wrong to get Beazer to do anything. I am disgusted with the lack of ...

Our closing was delayed multiple times due to fault of Beazer. These closing delays cost us alot of money. I would not recommend anyone to do business with Beazer.

Bad Solar experience

I recently bought a home with Beazer. Most things went fine except for the solar set up. My point of contact was Mikayla H. I was told early July a tech would come out to set up my system. It is late August with the solar still not working, my bill is over 1k with SDG&E. I reached out to Mikayla to tell her no one has called. She said she does not have oversight and they should call me. She then put an "away" message on her email. Communication was not only horrible but I feel deeply disrespected. Homes are built too fast! Builders are trading numbers for quality! My home was damaged by way of dishwasher, tud and back door insert! I also had to have the doors re finished do to dents in them! The tub was installed with two big cracks in it and the dishwasher was installed with a dent in it! My water heater was not wired properly and the air duct system was poorly installed. I have an appointment now to properly cover lines that are leaking water onto the attic floor. I'm still removing paint off of floors and chandeliers! Our experiance was not the best. Our house was still be worked on as we were closing. Our AC zone system was backwards, my electric bill was 500.00. The selling point for us was the sprayfoam insulation. We are still waiting for painters. Just yesterday we had to do a warranty job in our house for our ac because it was not cooling properly. they had to cut our sheetrock out to look at the ac. There were some parts of the ducts that were bent and caused the house not to cool the way it should. i gave you star just for john and leigh because they are nice otherwise they will not deserve stars. i am not satisfied with the builder. there are so many tiny details missing, dent in the garage door, electrical problem, wall paint not proper and many more. i suggest you everyone do your research before you buy

After spending half million dollar in your new home we expect atleast great materials and good work, but our experience with Beazer homes got really bitter. They lack on communication, they will tell you house is ready for closing but upon checking lots of things are incompleted and Ofcourse broken too. We have to call them and ask them multiple times for status rather than them calling us. They donot do quality assurance check before the final walk through with customers. Our home was not even close to what was originally scheduled which created quite the financial burden on us as we had to move twice, pay for storage and overpay on short-term leases. Now that we are in the home we have an array of issues from flooring, sub-flooring, poorly installed cabinets, damaged tiles, roof leaks, damaged countertops, drywall cracks/water damage, incorrectly installed doors…the list goes on…we are essentially living through a renovation vs the turn-key home we were expecting. The whole experience after the initial signing of the contract was a headache. Home finishing quality is terrible, features that were expected from model walkthrough were not built in new home, bottom line no pride in their profession. After the housing shortage passes maybe they will have to actually present a better product.
