Beautiful home

We had a wonderful experience with Beazer Homes everything came out better then expected

Even though there are some minor build quality issues, the overall experience has been very good so far.

Very poor quality workmanship. Seems to be a crew of day laborers changing weekly. Inferior wood trim, drywall finishing, door hanging, finish work.and on and on. Have called many things in to fix already, and more to come. Sound proofing is non existent, you can hear from one end of the home to the other. This home is on par of a Walmart purchase. And I bought two units, having similar issues in both. I thought with the Beazer name and paying over 200k I would have a decent product. I bought the home from out of state and was not able to check on building progress. I don't know how some of the problems even passed inspection, like a deadbolt with no matching key, or a garage door that doesn't close and latch. Or how about being able to see daylight around the front door because the insulation framing strip was not installed. Cracks in the ceilings crooked switch plates. This is the recent home i bought with beazer and from sales to the service person everyone was prompt and easy to access. I am able to get a very nice house with all my features

Moved in 2 months ago. everything has been great so far

I bought a home because of the price and the housing market. I was a first time home buyer and the price of this home was great. Features are great, my power bill is efficient.

Builder was horrible as keep going on vacation and not answering any of the email. Issue never taken care. When tome comes closure for the closing and we reach out to complain service then only they respond which impact our closing date as it was extended 3 time. End product is not good eaither of what we pay for the property

House is very well built. Sales persons and contractors are helpful and attentive.

I would not buy a home from Beazer. Very bad experience.

The agent and walkthroughs with the Building Manager were very good and welcoming, but after the closing they don't seem to care about you as much. For example, following up on open items or new issues is not their priority, and then you get handed off to other people. And the Mortgage Cos. they refer you to for discounts on mortgage were difficult to work with. The one we selected not only required lots of repetitive documents and the office staff don't appear to communicate with each other. For ex., the Officer in Charge would say one thing, and the lending staff would require something different, which also delayed our closing. I would not recommend going with one of their preferred companies, despite the discount points, and search for one to your liking. ... More

A nice home at a nice price.

The moment we’ve chosen this home, beazer made their part of transaction fairly easy for us! Happy to be one of the beazer homeowner!

I moved in to my new Beazer home in November, 2018. The building process was a nightmare. I have built 3 homes before this one, including one Beazer home in 1993. That experience was a good one, as well as the other two builds. This one was a nightmare from the beginning. First, they told me my air conditioner would not fit on the side yard, which they had to know from prior lots in the area and lot size. But of course waited until i had put money down on the lot and was non-refundable. They changed my closing 3 times late in the process after i had given notice at my apartment complex and locked in a rate, both of which i checked with them before doing these things. Some of the materials are very low quality and very shoddy workmanship. They are still coming out to my house to replace/repair things that have gone wrong or already showing wear and tear and I’ve lived there 8 weeks! My builder superintendent was very helpful and did what he could given restrictions placed on him, but I’m already wondering if this is the house for me after i worked so hard (and waited SO long) just to get it finished. I would not repeat this process with this builder. The sales experience was even worse than the building experience, which had i known this, i would have walked away after the sales experience. Communication is key with any large purchase...Relax and Enjoy the process... Beazerhome stands by their product 110%. We could not have had a more experienced and knowledgeable builder. And the warranty department after our purchase is Amazing. My only regret is not buying sooner. You just can't go wrong with Beazerhome.

The initial phase of purchasing the home was very easy and pleasant. But once the contract was signed, it was a totally different experience. Before we signed the documents, we were assured on closing around our desired time frame as we were moving from another state. Well the closing was six weeks late and it took getting the VPs of construction and sales involved. The floor plan (Summerset) is fantastic and fits our family to a tee. However, the quality of the construction is not much to be desired. For instance, we decided on wood floors in all areas (except the bathrooms and laundry room). The wood floors were installed but we had to spend a lot of time removing paint from the edges of the floors. We also had french doors installed in our formal dinning room, we noticed that the frame was crocked after we moved in, and had to have it redone. We have been in the home less than two months and have already noticed nail pops in several spots. Communication is a big problem. We are still having issues getting things that we have noticed that need to be corrected to be addressed. ... More

Nice people, nice house. Love the lot and location. At first, hated the woodwork in closets, pantry and laundry - but now love the fact they will serve us well until we're able to upgrade those areas. So my only lasting disappointment was learning that, although we selected a certain kitchen design (about a $2,300 upgrade), there was (later) an additional cost of about $1,900 added on. Not happy about that.

There are some pending items which has to fix and Beazer promised that they will fix before closing after closing. It has been more than month . No one fixed and come responding properly.

Make sure you check the cabinets closely. Painting was poor. We had to have a lot of follow up painting. Check the grout lines closely.

This builder is quick! our home was completed a month sooner than expected

-they rushed on our home to close in time for Quarter Reviews. -before closing, there were a handful of things that needed to be fixed. We were told it would be done after closing. We’ve closed, now trying to get a hold of a supervisor is like waiting for rain in a dessert. Ridiculous. -we will never build a Beazer home again

The warranty process is flawed and unreliable

The Beazer family is a great group to work with. Tom was a real asset to whole process. We had a great experience with the purchase and during the building process. Things moved along very well and quickly. However after moving in and getting settled there are some issues. The grout that is used in the home is a sanded grout which tends to crack and deteriorate over time faster than unsanded. The drywall team does quick work but leaves room for error that have to be address later. I would advise home buyer to not rush the process but to allow the home to set and settle after the new construction so that you can truly see the imperfections in the craftsmanship. Now would I buy a Beazer home again? MOST DEFINITELY. Despite the issue we have had it is a great home and awesome floor plan. I would want more time to monitor the workmanship that is done and ask for better produces to be used. It's not a million dollar home but it is my home ... More

We had several serious issues when we moved in. At the walkthrough painting was still in progress. Electricity was not available in our bathroom due to a wiring fault. One switch position was buried in the wall. Facial boards were not properly installed or fastened. The floors had some kind of glue on them in different areas. The dishwasher was improperly installed and required a 14 day wait for repair service. Touch up painting was missed and we were not given any touch up paint. The one tree was planted dead and had to be replaced. Over all the house needs to be repainted due to the poor quality paint. The block fence was not painted. ... More

We love our new home. It was the right decision to build since we were living 800 miles away and we were unable to view new homes as they came on the market. However, we do have a few comments about the process. We feel that we the final stretch to finish and close on the house was rushed. We had plenty of time to make sure that everything was complete and done right, but because the builder wanted to close by a certain date, the final product showed a lack of attention to detail. Areas of Paint, trimwork and grout showed sloopy craftmenship. There were two very visable broken cabinets that were repaired after occupancy. A design detail that we find disturbing is that the vanity in the full bathroon is too big for the space. It is too tight to the comode. The toilet paper roll is right against you when you are seated. There is plenty of room where a smaller cabinet and sink should have been specified for a better fit. Bringing this to the builders attention, we were told that; it is to spec, we signed off on it and it cant be changed. In summary, these issues, except for the sink, are minor and can be easily corrected. We love our new home and we are looking forward to many happy and satisfied years in Cameron Village. ... More
