Our initial contact was with a project manager named James.

James was very professional and took the time needed to make sure we had all our questions answered. He seemed very proud of the homes he was in charge of. Our second visit was with Bob. Bob replaced James who had left the Company. He also was great. Our best contact person was Melissa. She was our Beazer representative. We can't say enough good about Melissa. Beazer is very lucky to have someone of her caliber representing them. Overall, not a bad house. A few bugs to iron out but nothing that can't be corrected.

Ha e had better. Time will show quality. Appliance are low grade, and they would not install a thing that we were bringing, so we had to have them Uninstaller and ours installed at a very high cost to us. Garage is WAY to small for folks who have anything but compacts. No 3 car option. HOA is the worse in the nation. 8x10 shed requirement is pathetic. Fence requirement is pathetic. Landscaping leaves a lot to be desired. NOBODY plants a Crape Myrtle next to a house. The will destroy a foundation with their roots and get huge in a couple of years. Love the house, but builders should work ...

The process of meeting with Brad, Kelly and Lonnie and discussing plans, options, warranty were fine. The constuction phase was so so. The final stage was not so good, the building supervisor Lonnie failed in so many ways, he didn't schedule a cleaning crew his boss did it on her time off. The painting marginal at best the paint just peels off the winow casing LITERRALLY in hunks. Concrete worse I've ever seen looks like the floating and finish was done with a garden rake. There is a reason they only allow 4 visits, so you don't see the lack of professionalism and craftsmanship.

The home building experience was good. Great communication. The HOA, which is still controlled by Beazer, is awful. Poor communication. Long wait for approval. Still not approved. If I'd known it would be so bad, I would reconsider purchasing in Beazer Harborview.

Beazer Homes responded:

I like our new home with the exception of a couple issues. Main issue I have is with the Heat system or it could be Duck work, either way unit with master bedroom in back does not get the air flow need to properly heat the bedroom in winter without turning up the thermostat. Gas bill higher than you would think for such an efficient unit as stated to us. Did not like the Gas Stove, was not given an option of Electric.

I have found the experience frustrating. I was rushed to close and had issuers that needed to be fixed and addressed that I am still dealing with. I have to call repeatedly to get a response. When we met I got reassured things would be addressed and fixed but it’s been 11 days and I have heard nothing. I do not feel comfortable so far. Maybe it will improve but I would not close until things are done right.

When deciding to purchase a new build we went with Beazer because the Sales Representative Monika was quick to get back to us and answer any questions we might have. The process was slow and there were delays some due to material shortages others due to personnel and priority to spec homes. We finally were able to close on our home but it was far from quality work. The paint job was terrible with multi shades, random brush strokes, missed spots, and drips. The drywall tape lines show across the ceilings and there are cracks and poor repair work that show. There are holes, dents and ...

There were very many issues we had at closing of our home/ I fully understand all the delays in supply issues and getting permits from county. In the beginning, we were getting weekly updates, keeping us posted on progress of the house. There we many issues we had found upon checking out our house as it was in the building process. We purchased a Camden model with Option B kitchen. It seemed that contractors did not know how to read blueprints. When we signed the contract to purchase, we picked out all our design. options. The signed contract had a linen closet in the 2nd bathroom. ...

It was just shy of a year to get a modest home without upgrades. People have babies in less time. In addition there were other homes labeled as 'quick move-ins' that were started significantly after our home was started, but completed much quicker than ours. Needless to say, not happy! The build quality seems good so far, but time will tell. We did get a THIRD builder during the process and he has been very good and quite possibly the reason we are in our new home now.

Beazer Homes responded:
Thank you for sharing with us, Kristine. We're sorry to hear that your building experience did not meet your expectations. From the beginning of the process, we had a much different experience with Beazer than we had with previous builders. They did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. House was supposedly finished a month after the initial closing date. While we were doing the final walk through, the house was still being worked on but we had to close that day. We were told not to worry because there was a warranty. Then after closing we were told that the defects, such as scratched cabinets, paint drippings or any other defect isnt covered unless they were on the pre closing list. Carpet strips weren’t installed correctly, which resulted in cutting our feet and we were told to repair it.

We’ve been in the house for 3 months. We’re disappointed with the interior finishing construction on the inside. We’ve had quite a few major problems. The master bathroom has cracked sink and shower needs major work. Our roof leaked during a storm, cold are coming through the vents in master bedroom and microwave. Finished trim work is poor. Had to replace the stove-fire hazard. That’s just a few. It’s under warranty but no one has come over to fix those listed above for a month. Contractor told us to wait about 6 months to see if the roof leaks again. Extremely disappointed!
