The people at Beazer are great to deal with but, unfortunately, getting things done right the first time seems to take a backseat to speed of construction. We are slowing working through issues but still have a lengthy list of items to address as well as the inconvenience of having to wait in 4 hour time-frames for various contractors to remedy items that should have been correct at construction time. While all new construction will have punch list items, this one was much more than expected or necessary. Would definitely recommend close scrutiny at any walk-through opportunities prior to ...

I must say I do love my house ,but there were things that Iwanted that to me was so simple I did white cabinets in my kitchen but I want to do gray cabinets on the bottom same style cabinet just different color on the bottom, and was told NO we don't do that I also wanted pulls on all the cabinets and was also told NO. There are other things that we were not happy about I should have realized it when I wanted to make a change after we signed contracts when you are spending all this money on a home your building I think you should be able to make it yours, your style and not be told NO !!!

The agent and walkthroughs with the Building Manager were very good and welcoming, but after the closing they don't seem to care about you as much. For example, following up on open items or new issues is not their priority, and then you get handed off to other people. And the Mortgage Cos. they refer you to for discounts on mortgage were difficult to work with. The one we selected not only required lots of repetitive documents and the office staff don't appear to communicate with each other. For ex., the Officer in Charge would say one thing, and the lending staff would require something ...

Be careful with "quick move-ins"

For the most part I am not unhappy with my new home. I like the floorplan and the neighorhood. However as it is what was listed as a "quick move-in" , and what the builder referred to in a derogatory tone as a "spec home" there are some unfortunate deficiencies. Most glaring is the lack of gutters. I have never seen a house without gutters however I was informed that they aren't required and I would have to add them myself. The tub in the guest bathroom is the smallest and at my best guess the cheapest they could find. It looks deep enough until you step in it and then you realize it ...

The purchase was easy given that we relied on our realtor to watch over the build. Our builder rep (Jenny) was great. We love our home, but there are many imperfections that need to be fixed including crooked walls (non-structural), rough spots, sliding door not working, gouges, bumps, and cabinet door alignment. I suppose there are imperfections with all builders, but it was disheartening to see a couple crooked wall edges. Anyway, we were promised that all issues will be fixed in a year when they come to primp the finish work. I understand they are hiring a new builder.

There were some issues left over from closing that have still not been resolved. This is spoiling my overall experience with Beazer which to date was 5star. The warranty call folks are very nice but from there it falls flat. The hand over from the builder to the warranty person has been poor.

I would not purchase from beazer especially in harborview I felt pressured into the purchase, they rushed the build to make quotas the automatic garage door opener is hanging off the wall I'm doing more work in a new house than I would of in a previous built home hanging ceiling fans, changing lights blinds, painting. House a month late and not ready even then

House was supposedly finished a month after the initial closing date. While we were doing the final walk through, the house was still being worked on but we had to close that day. We were told not to worry because there was a warranty. Then after closing we were told that the defects, such as scratched cabinets, paint drippings or any other defect isnt covered unless they were on the pre closing list. Carpet strips weren’t installed correctly, which resulted in cutting our feet and we were told to repair it.

Wow, Where do I begin. My wife and I were told by Beazer after purchasing the house to mark areas with painters tape so those areas can be repaired. My wife and I spent 3 hours- TWICE applying tape. After they attempted to make repairs-over half of the issues were not addressed as the tape was still all over the house. We had work order set up through Beazer for a carpenter and an electrician. They both came by and both indicated that the order they received had one or two items on it- not the 5-6 we told Beazer about. The electrician was able to spend the extra time to fix our ...

Disappointed with interior work

We’ve been in the house for 3 months. We’re disappointed with the interior finishing construction on the inside. We’ve had quite a few major problems. The master bathroom has cracked sink and shower needs major work. Our roof leaked during a storm, cold are coming through the vents in master bedroom and microwave. Finished trim work is poor. Had to replace the stove-fire hazard. That’s just a few. It’s under warranty but no one has come over to fix those listed above for a month. Contractor told us to wait about 6 months to see if the roof leaks again. Extremely disappointed!

Pay attention to detail, guidelines, and false promises. The builder will contact the buyer constantly trying to get good marks on an after-closing survey in order to advance in the company and/or receive a bonus. After the survey was submitted, the builder has yet to complete prior promises. Many good features with the house but also many deficiencies. Toilets had the bowl 14-1/2 inches off the floor which does not meet the ADA minimum limits. Like sitting on the floor. We had to replace the toilets. Salesman showed us the shower we were getting in the sample house. Well it was deficient and we had to replace the shower head system.
