Love my home, but i am pretty frustrated with the communication between Beazer and home owner

We have had many issues with communication betweent BEazer and myself or my husband. We have issues with our sod has been ruined by a trade partner, and we are waiting on someone to tell us when it will be fixed. We had multiple issues trying to prepare for closing, and our dates were moved, after being told they would not move and were set in stone. Additionally, we had an issue with our front door, that finally arrived. The painter for Beazer did a much less than stellar job on the door, and even got paint on the floor. We have had many conversations about this, only to be told that i now ...

Lovely home and neighborhood, experience could have been better

The house is lovely, though I felt in the sales process they were not as transparent as they should have been. I had a few items I made clear were important to me and I was told they would be easily met only to find out it was known that wasn't possible or guaranteed. For the most part the sales process was seamless. After living in the house a while it feels a few things were rushed or shortcuts taken. Windows not quite at 90 degree angles that made blinds tricky. Baseboard separating from the wall and waiting still on someone to come fix it. Plumbing not put in right. They sod the front but ...

The house holds heat and air conditioning very well and seems to be well built, but the finish work is atrocious. From paint, base boards, shower install, door handles, and door hanging just to name a few, the finish work and craftsmanship is horrible. Not pleased at all with the final touches of my home.

I have heard great things about Beazer homes and am excited to be a part of the community now. I must say that I have not started off as I had expected. In the last three weeks I have had no heat- No hot water- I still have no heat down stairs. My toilet has already backed up twice. The door stop for the front door broke and I have a dent in my wall. When I am in my bathroom I can hear my neighbors talking, moving around. I feel that the closing of my home was rushed and more inspections should have been done in order to ensure everything was working properly. The closing of my home was ...

My husband and I recently purchased/ built our home with Beazer. We love our home but unfortunately it has not been the best experience. Our realtor was great and very helpful since day one. Our home was not ready when we closed and is still pending a few items after being here for almost two months. It's quite annoying still having blue tape on our cabinets. Our heat did not work, our dishwasher does not work and we did our final walk through the day of our closing since it was not complete the Monday prior.

House is good - the yard and your contractors HORRIBLE!

The buying process was good. I felt the preferred lenders were a little aggressive. The builder listened to my comments and concerns through the building process. Although, sometimes I had to give reminders. The sales/building team had regular calls which was great since we were not nearby. My biggest issue has been the yard. The yard was put in early May. We closed at the end of May. It is now almost the end of July and the yard is still on a punch out list and not addressed. That has been very disappointing - as I like a good looking yard and they knew it was important to me. Now ...

Disappointing Craftsmanship; Great Sales Person

Our experience with working with the Sales Representative, Tom, was great. Tom was very thorough and supported us through the entire sales related process. However the build craftsmanship was mediocre at best. Too many issues to report them all. In summary, no attention to detail - appeared speed of completing (in some cases, not completing) task was the goal. And, the landscaping in terms of grading and sod was horrible. Sod laid on top of large rocks, plastic trash, even a broken pressure gage was the norm.

Beazer’s customer service was amazing until after we moved in. Once we closed in our home, no one cared to make sure things were satisfied to our liking. Too many “corners” were cut to save time & money. (For example: having to have our brand new home repainted, because upgraded paint is still flat builder-grade, spray paint.)

2 months after moving in we still have items from the exception list that are not completed. I feel I've had to stay diligent on other items of concern which I don't feel should be necessary for wanting things fixed the way they should have been the first time. Beyond that we are happy with our home.

He needs a lot of training and was not able to explain most systems to us. Joel saved most issues Jeremy is a -0- Joel is 5 though so not everything was bad. Beazer has very streamlined process. There is nothing much to add considering their magnitude of projects. The main question is the value to your money. It might be very attactive with initial lower costs, but they quickly add up in their upgrades and crazy lot premium costs. Considering the lot sizes they have and the house plans it doesn't make sense to me. They have in built some or almost un noticeable cost cuttings or cheap materials unless you live in the house. I was originally soooo excited to move - talked with a sales agent on two different occasions that I would get to design the home and that the backyard would be 20’ by 20’…fast forward to walk though and there were many issues including the fact that they were now telling me the backyard would only be 20’ by 14’ which is a massive difference. Lipstick on a pig. It looks pretty, however they use cheap subcontractors that do the job quick but not with good quality. I have many things breaking inside the home within 30 days of living. They will reassure you that you have a warranty, but don't be fooled because they send 1 guy to do a 2 person job, with multiple trips, who will damage and ding up the rest of your stuff while fixing what was originally broken. I dont have trust in the home quality.

My experience has been relatively disappointing throughout. Started off with a $8,000 Closing Credit that changed overnight to $5,000 when allowed to sign. Builder assured/promised the HOA wasn’t going to raise fees (they jacked up the fees right after closing with their preferred HOA company that makes money off of the owners of the homes.) Their vendors screwed up the shower, I still don’t have mirrors two months after closing. They rushed me to close, and then didn’t bother to follow up on half the items I pointed out on the punch list. Months later I’m filing warranty claims. They built ...

Poor craftsmanship and lack of effort

The quality of craftsmanship and effort putting these homes is poor. Our house was $900,000 to build and the cement on our back patio AND in our garage started crumbling before we even moved in. Tile work was poorly done and had to be torn out and replaced. The grout is unevenly spaced and for a bathroom that is all gray they put in brown grout which doesn’t make sense. We have been through two construction managers already in the past nine months. I would not recommend Beazer to anybody.

Overall, a bad experience. Would ask our sales contact questions on status of home build and they would either ignore our questions or push us off to another contact who would not respond in a timely manner. If there were updates on the home, it was about a week late, as we would drive by the home ourselves and see the updates first hand. It was frustrating as a home buyer to have inconsistent communication with no accountability. Our move in date was also moved multiple times due to supply chain and labor issues. While we love our new home, the entire experience was diminished by not being able to construct a fence. Before contracting, we asked about fencing our yard as this was one of our top priorities when choosing a lot and a builder. We were ensured this would not be a problem. Unfortunately, we were told by the city after closing on our house that we would lose over half of our yard if we were to fence it in. This ruined our entire experience as we invested a LOT of money for a home we now are unhappy with. While this has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the home or the initial ...
