Great Final Outcome/ Lack of Communication During Build

Started our home build in February 2021 and we closed Dec 2022. Construction delays aside, Beazer didn’t fully commit to keeping us in the loop of what was going on a weekly basis until the last few months of construction. We recognize that the pandemic made all things anything but normal, but we expected to be well informed at every step of the way and that wasn’t always the case. In the end, our home was completed the exact we wanted it and Beazer has had frequent contact with us to make sure that it stays that way.

Beazer home customer service is good but construction quality is very poor . Found more than 13 problems when I got my home keys and took least 2 months to fix it .

Sales team ok. Builder gets a 5 star rating. House gets a 3. This house has the worst quality of finish work of any home i have ever owned. Your sub contractors do a terrible job. The texturing of my walls is terrible. Most walls have 2 or more obvious differences in the textures. It looks like kids came in and did it, not professionals who do it for a living. It needs to be totally redone but no way would i have your subcontractors come back in my house to do it.Same thing on back porch. Same thing on stone work and brick. The good and the bad.

Everything about the property was fine. However I was promised a $5000 credit if I used one of their choice mortgage companies. I did use one but got zero credit for it at closing. Also, within two weeks after moving in I had ants in my condo. i complained to Beazer and they told me that "This is on you." I had to call a pest control company to treat the condo which cost me $138.

Great process, not so great appliances

The building process was great. However, our oven wouldn’t work and it took a month for Whirlpool to come fix it. We just ran the heater for the first time and it wouldn’t heat. I called the Beazer warranty office and there was no sense of urgency. Someone reached out after hours and said they would have someone who is on call contact me but no one ever did. I am still waiting on someone to reach out this morning. When you spend this much money on a house, everything should work the first time.

First of all I’d like to praise Don, the Construction Manager. He’s gone above and beyond for us in ways he shouldn’t have had to. Our initial experience was with a salesman named Ryan. We fell in love with the floor plan before we even arrived so it didn’t take much for us to sign a contract. During that process we negotiated for a fridge and specifically chose a fridge & agreed on it. Ryan wrote the contract. The back door was built to swing outward. Thus, hinges are on the outside which creates a huge safety and security concern! I reported this to builders and CEO, asked to have it fix but was denied, said it's built to their policy and code, but in checking with Royse City code, I was told there are no codes for hinges. I had to fixed ASAP due to security issue. I sent email requesting reimbursement , provided fix receipts, but was ignored. Sad.

If you are considering buying a Beazer home, you will get a well constructed home. The building supervisor, Colton did a great job at seeing that our home was a quality built home. He addressed our concerns and questions. The appliances in the Beazer homes are below standard unless one upgrades them. When we did closing we have been promised to get everything completed but there are still a lot of issues and no one cares about remaining stuffies. There is no tracking system to check own case. Terrible

Bad Experience after Closing

Construction Manager Greg agreed to do some lawn work after closing as the nearby house is not finished yet. But after Closing, it is very hard to reach to him and the warranty people also not taking up any of the work and giving other reasons and states construction manager should have done it already. Also, Construction manager wants the rating for him on the same day as Closing which is horrible. They conveniently have the rating process in their Favor. Beazer should run one more review Rating process 45 days after Closing. Bad Experience Overall

First of all, the sales person Sanjeev did not tell me anything about what was going on with the house I bought. Later I found out there was a person who had contract but did not buy the house. I will never recommend Beazer homes to anyone. We were repeatedly lied to by sales people, made to settle for what Beazer chose to give us, Mistakes were made from the design center up to closing. Our lives were turned upside down for months due to mismanagement and incompetent employees. We have built two homes prior to this and both experiences were very good. My closing was messed up. In the morning of closing date I got call from construction manager that they can’t close it on the same day due tom some document didn’t received from city. They need to more pro active. When house was delivered to me it was not at all clean. I told several times and highlighted the same to my construction manager but no result. The sales people are adorable up until closing. Then you are full of surprises. The house was not cleaned properly, The bathtub looked like many people have used before full of scratches. The doors were not painted properly and dirty. One window did not lock, and the yard was a disaster . Overall, there are lot of delays with hardware in home, I’m still raising ton of warranty of tickets still there is no concrete dates on when it will be fixed. Outdoor lawn was not laid flat lot of puddle spots. Garage is a total mess with cracks and chips every where as they mentioned outdoor won’t be covered for warranty I have to adjust with it. Also lot of gap in entrance of home where beazer mentioned it won’t be done again.

Everything went pretty well up until moving in. The day of closing the stairs still had not been stained but I was assured it would be done by the time I moved in later that day. When I arrived later that evening to move in I noticed the stairs were the wrong color from what I selected in the design studio.
