Beazer Homes - We had a great experience with Beazer.

We had a great experience with Beazer. They were helpful and didn’t try to sell us things we didn’t need. There were some construction delays but that is likely due to things out of their control (pandemic delays etc).

The quality of the house is there. We have not had any issues with the structure of the home or accessories. The only issue is that you can tell they are trying to complete the homes as fast as possible which affects the "little things." For example the dirt around the foundation is caving-in which means they did not establish a quality process to prevent this from happening. There was a focus on building homes and getting them done before the end of Beazer's Fiscal Year. Also a number of neighbors are experiencing the same issue. Also the time it takes for Beazer to address our concerns is a ...

Beazer Homes - Buying our first home from Beazer went well for the most part,

Buying our first home from Beazer went well for the most part, but we did have some bumps in the road. The thing I’d say that could’ve been better in terms of actually buying the home, not the home itself, would be wait times. Something would come up & we’d have questions, but we had to wait usually two days before we heard anything back & usually it was an email & not over the phone. Email was a lot quicker, but some things you need to be able to talk about over the phone. For example, we had moved money around a lot, so they were having to ask us for multiple statements and there would be ...

The design of the new home is great with modern style, lots of spaces in kitchen and master closet which are the major reasons I like and bought this new home. The after move-in service is good and satisfactory since beazer addressed and solved the problems we found after move-in in a properly and timely manner. But I would like to point out that there were so many detailed tiny jobs were not done well since we closed in a hurry and some of the paintings/carpet installment jobs were done at last minute on the closing date which obviously affected the qualities of the jobs. I wish we hadn't ...

We purchased this unit for it's location. We are on the 4th floor(top) and it has 10'5" ceilings in most of the unit, but not in the great room where you would have expected it to be! The paint / finish work is poor. The sales process was helped greatly by Jessica. For the price the quality really wasn't there but we wanted the location

The over all experience was above average especially the sales staff. Minor issues like very dirty air filters left in place, air vent in kitchen area not able to properly vent heat from kitchen, poor selection of HOA administration, lacked directions for some of controls, and average response to small condo issues. Recommend buyers check out elevator performance requirements. Good intentions by support staff for small issues. Major requirements for condo construction very good. Explanation of HOA and responsibilities of HOA , and who is on HOA board a little hazy still.

Lack of quality control

After moving in there has been issue after issue. Details. I recommend bringing your own “blue tape” at the walk through and “take your time” to catch ALL issues. Leave no corner. I’m still finding things that if not repaired will lead to huge expenses. I was told they would come back they didn’t. My cabinets don’t close all the way, stairs are not even, paint caked up in areas… my neighbors have shared similar issues. Where is the quality control? Stop throwing these homes together and start checking these things.

Beazer Homes responded:
Thank you for this review. While we hope that every home is perfect upon move-in, we know that, from time to time, there may be some items that require a little bit of extra care. We see that you have reported these concerns via our warranty department and your local customer care team is actively working with you to come to a resolution. The builder is great. Their plans are great. Just that the pandemic has caused a lot of demand and shortage of resources makes it hard. However the buyer still pays the premium and does not make sense delivering homes with a lot of cosmetic issue from damaged doors to improper painting.

The buying and closing were the easy part but once occupying the space was a different story. I would recommend the builders to give the new home owners at least 30 days vs the 10 days for post move-in inspection. Many of us like myself did not move into the house immediately after closing, it was a few weeks later due to my lease and not living in the new home, it's not enough time for the 10-day inspection. I understand there is also a 11-month follow up but if a home owner is given 30-days, it may minimize the 11-month follow up inspection list and issues from occupancy. I have been in ...

I love this location, I chose the Brightwood model for the main floor living. The views from the windows are probably the best in Potomac Shores! However, as this may be one of Beazer's largest floor plans in Potomac Shores, not enough thought was given to create better options to utilize the space, I have a laundry closet, the smallest pantry, and there are literally three doors in my bathroom. I have lots of ideas to use this space better, like perhaps moving the laundry room to the basement to open up pantry space on the main level. Also, I love the master bathtub, but there could ...

I bought a brand new home thinking less issues than a remodeled home. Boy, was I wrong. Having nearly two dozen of documented issues after settlement, several homes with water damage because they refused to install roof patio gutters and all that water pouring into the homes, electrical outlets and appliances not wired properly, crooked island issues, missing trim, grout, drywall mud, etc., the list from my house and others are endless. The beginning of the process was fantastic. We worked closely with the sales team to choose a lot and then had a wonderful experience with the design center. We had constant updates on the progress of the build and were very well informed. All of our walk throughs were fantastic and all of our questions were addressed. Beazer built a beautiful home, albeit with a few kinks that still need to be ironed out. Namely, a small portion of vinyl siding that is missing on the exterior of the home, the gas fireplace not working and a few places that were not sealed properly on the exterior of the home. All of these items can and will be fixed but are delayed due to COVID-19 which is 100% understandable and perfectly alright. Where Beazer is liking lies with it’s unresponsive and unprofessional sales staff. We were not impressed at all with who worked with us on actually selling the home. Lack of knowledge, ...

We were happy to purchase our second new home together in the beautiful Willowsford neighborhood in Aldie. We love the Brightons floor plan and it is perfect for our needs. However after a month of living there, we have found quality issues in the plumbing system and also the granite as well as the quality of the light fixtures. The high-end kitchen and butlers pantry area have granite counter tops. Overall, the house is OK; however, there was a lack of attention to details. In particular, the paint job was sloppy -- where there unpainted areas and paint spots on the floors and stairs. Another issue we had was missing stone work on the garage, which left parts of the garage exposed to the outside.
