Overall, Bloomfield builds a great home. The only issues we had were a result of poor communication with the developer and utility services such as AT&T internet. Once we moved in we didn't have internet for a month. In addition, the pre wiring completed by the builder for internet is outdated. AT&T has had fiber direct for quite sometime now and the wires that are hanging (eye sore, hide them in a box) out of the closet are of no use. Finally, we have had to go to the post office to collect our mail as the developer failed to communicate with the post office and have keys ordered for the cluster boxes. A lot of the issues were not the fault of Bloomfield; however controls should be in place to capture these items beforehand. ... More

Overall, we were very pleased. The builder was responsive and thorough. The Bloomfield sales office staff were courteous and knowledgeable. We love our new home.

My experience was a little different due to the Covid 19 pandemic and all the delays. Mostly times beyond anyones control. Although, once the building process got started it remained at a steady pace until the end

From the sales team to the gentleman responsible for construction, the Bloomfield team was courteous and professional during the entire process. While the covid virus did all it could do to disrupt things, Bloomfield went out of their way to make the process as smooth as possible. Love our new home.

Site management continually says That’s shaykh you signed on the contract and do not understand technical issues surrounding the issue between us what electrical. Contractor and charters service on two story homes. Staff provided contact list for services contacts that was out of date and had to be corrected. Poor attention to detail

Bloomfield homes build my family’s dream home… we are extremely happy with our home… the building process is smooth and all the issues that comes with building a home are well mannered by this builder.. what you sign at contract is what you pay at closing.. price will not change like other builders..

Bloomfield always kept us updated on the building of our home. Even though some materials were hard to get they worked very hard to get everything we chose for our house. We are very pleased with all members of the sales crew.

As we watched our house being built we were impressed with the quality we saw. Even the concrete was poured without visible cracks. Communication with our project manager was great throughout the entire build! Would definitely recommend Bloomfield Homes.

We bought a spec home prior to the foundation being laid; however, we were not allowed to change any of the options or color selections. Even though there were several options we would have chosen differently, we were OK with that. We asked for only one thing, to pay for two extra network ports to be added to the five that are included with the house. The sales person initially said yes; but later the builder said “no” and said, in fact, for the five included ports that they would run wires through the walls, but that we would have to go down to Home Depot and buy the ports ourselves and install them after we move in. He said the two extra ports would be easy for the internet provider to add later; but when we moved in, the internet tech told us that because of bad wiring, there was no way to install additional network ports. It turns out that that "no" was the first of many. Various areas of the interior and exterior of the house were not painted. Can you paint this section of wall, or that stair trim? “No.” Door latches do not latch. He said, “You can fix that yourself.” Large gaps between baseboards and floor. He said, "You will have gaps in the baseboard where there are variations in the concrete. All our homes are this way. " When we gave the builder our final walk-through list, he said, "I'll cull through the list and do only what I think needs to be done." When we moved into the house, we found our list printed out and left in one of the drawers with "No" written next to many items. Many rocks, debris, and nails were left in our yard even though we told the superintendent about them. The yard has bad grading; so no matter how we set the sprinklers, there are big muddy sections. Insects made nests in the gaps in our walls where there was no caulk. There are gaps between the cabinets and the wall. The builder said, "We don't caulk cabinets. Our cabinet company won’t because if they have to replace anything, they don't want to have to peel that off." We pointed out that the drywall was damaged next to one of the cabinets; so instead of fixing the drywall, they just filled that big area with caulk. It only looks bad when you look at it. We were told that we would have fiber optic; but after closing on the house, the internet tech said due to bad wiring we could not get fiber optic speed. We were also told there would be two Wi-Fi transmitters. There were two hookup locations but no actual transmitters. Because the foundation was not formed correctly, there was a section of wall between the garage and the study where most of the wall hung out over into midair. When we pointed it out to the builder he said, "This is quite common on the garage wall drops. The concrete company will add concrete under after the frame is complete." You can see where the wall just doesn't look right to this day, and we are concerned that that concrete will start breaking off as it was not part of the original foundation. One of the bathroom cabinets had damage, so when we pointed it out to the builder, rather than replacing the piece of the cabinet, they just added some putty, and did not paint it. The gas was not connected to the cooktop, and a couple weeks after move-in two of the burners stopped working. They said this is not something they warranty. None of the three exterior doors were properly installed. One of them would not latch at all, and one of them would only latch if you hold your mouth just right and shimmy it in. One wall on the inside of a closet had no texture applied to it. There were several light switch covers missing. The house was generally dirty with spider webs in several windows and mud dobber nests in several a/c vents. Most of the mulch at the landscaping is not mulch, but rather just built up dirt, large rocks, and debris. Neither the sales person nor the superintendent kept us appraised of the building progress unless we asked and prodded, something important to us since we did not want to overstay our lease at our previous residence. As for meeting code, we have several concerns. There is one section of roof that appears to be almost flat, something not allowed by code without special types of roofing. Coming from someone who used to be a certified energy inspector plans examiner, I also have concerns about how the house passed code with the level of wall insulation installed. When we bought the house the sales person told us that our superintendent was not good with people but that he did quality work. It turns out in the end, he was good with neither people nor building with quality. He just didn't seem to care about either. With the state of the housing industry being what it is these days, we knew that they did not need us to buy this house. We knew that we had no bargaining power for even something as small as a couple of network ports or paint on the walls. But that doesn't make it right the way we were treated. We know that the builder gets bonuses by mostly just getting the home done within a certain budget. Our superintendent told us he had to meet that margin. We understand that mismanagement at the highest levels of government and business have put the building industry in a tough spot. Workers are these days paid by the government to not work. Labor is short to the extent that skilled labor and true craftsmen are all but extinct. Builders are at the mercy of their contractors and suppliers. So the issues my wife and I have experienced here are difficult to fix. Bloomfield offers an overall good house for the price, but I look forward to the day when customer service and pride in craftsmanship are adequately incentivized by big builders. ... More

Response time from the builder after the sale was unacceptable. There were items that needed attention that were discovered post closing. The builder did not respond nor address the issues that needed attention or repairs in a timely manner.

Bloomfield was great from the first time we met until closing day. It did take a long time for our home to be built, but that was mainly due to covid related issues that have affected materials supplies. I would recommend them to anyone.

If there was any issues or problems along the way, I was always notified no matter what. The builder and manager made me feel like I was part of the family and not just another customer.

Everyone and everyone was great would recommend some to the whole team that want to purchase a new home, Thanks Guys

Channa was a great project manager. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed even after I closed on the home. There were some hiccups along the way but she did what she could to remedy them.

Leslie was really great and attentive to my home buying needs. Doug is a great great builder who really cares about what the customer wants. He made sure to keep me posted on the progress of the house. He and his team worked very hard to make sure everything was right. I love my home!

There was an issue with one of the window, but it was patched and inspection passed. Then soon after, rain water leaking through the window and damage the windows. Service ticket opened. I pressed the urgent issue due to window leak and caused MOLD. Window service and open up the windows and mold discovered. The service men tried to patch the window up without proper testing for leaking. After weeks, they decided that they ordered new windows. The room is not usable for more than a month now. I don't know when it will be done properly. I don't know where to voice my concern, because seems like nobody care about mold in the house we live. Very nice people to work with!. Specially Rhonda, Rob, and Kevin (The builder). They will go above and beyond to meet your expectations and are always kind in answering all questions you may have. Now to the quality of the house. During construction, we would always see top quality in materials and installation. The builder was verifying the construction phase every step of the way, and always corrected/pointed any mistakes the working crew did. We did have a few concerns, and he was always there to make sure they were addressed. Now, to the warranty, as with any construction, there may be small things here and there, but what differences Bloomfield at Watersbend from any other builder is that they do care about their customers. Our warranty emails/questions have been addressed in a timely matter, and the crew doing the work has always been polite and speaks highly of the company. The only thing I dislike is the quality of backfill they used for the yard area. Instead of adding pot soil, they used sand which makes the grass hard to main green. One BIG DIFFERENCE from this builder than the others, is that they KEPT THEIR WORD on the contract, and did not raise the price of the house. Very happy with them. ... More

We want to thank Robin for all that she did to make our home buying experience great one, she really cared about what we needed and wanted in our gorgeous home. Thanks for the time she took to explain every aspect of the home buying process. I HAVE HADE 5 HOMES AND THIS IS THE BEST ONE I HAVE HAD. THE QUALITY I GOT FOR THE MONEY I PAID. I HAVE BUILT 2 OF THE 5 I HAVE OWNED SO I'M FAMILIAR WITH BUILDING AND THE QUALITY OF THIS HOUSE IS OUTSTANDING. THERE IS NOTHING I WOULD CHANGE.
