6 months delay

It is really hard to give a review on a product that for one reason or another was delayed 6 months. However, I would like to give 5 stars to Travis for his great job and effort to try to finish our home despite all the external issues. I’ve been in the house for a month and I’m really enjoying the house. There are a few minor issues that Bloomfield needs to come back to fix but overall I love my house.

Mike is good pretty good at communication but overall not the best especially with the finance company.. The part of contract that we had to sale our home by roofing stage. But the Bloomfield is an estimate which essentially could have put us homeless with the estimate on Bloomfield’s side. We ended up purchasing a home which we had no choices. The plumbing line had to be worked on x2 in the first week due to construction debris not being taken care of. The water to the dishwasher was not connected. The fence is bars showing one side then not on then showing then not no consistency with it. ...

Matt and Sam were great. Our one issue was a couple promises were either missed or miscommunicated. We were told we could get the cabinet handles (in their sample showroom) but when we closed on the house the cabinets had no handles. We were then told they don’t normally add handles. We were not told that initially and it added to the feeling that we were told things at the beginning in order to get the sale. We were also promised a half glass back door that never happened. Post close, we’ve seen multiple social media posts from our neighbors that they’ve had similar experiences.

Too many issues for a new build

I feel that there were corners cut when building this home. I can’t name ALL of them because there are so many. My thought is they had new workers that were starting out and my house was the test dummy. I would have liked my home to be of the same quality as the model home but one all the issues are fixed this could be a good home.

We went into contract mid-build. Framing and roof were completed. The builder was not very flexible with changing design choices. It was very much take it or leave it. There were many things that could have been changed such as fixtures, faucets and door hardware that we were not allowed to change. In fact after just two change requests we were told to stop asking. I get that it was a seller's market but we had to spend nearly $20K after closing on items that the builder could have let us change mid-build. Super frustrating and I won't be buying another Bloomfield Home.

So the over home buying experience will come in various way. Closing was great as it was quick and well organize with all documents. The financing part was the headache and will remain anonymous on who we started out with but it was confusing, unclear and at time very degrading in communications. The lender we closed with made it clear and less stress with clearer numbers that made sense in my decision to change lender. The staff that works directly with Bloomfield are great, straightforward and to the point and I appreciate each staff I have met on this journey. I don’t have a great review ...

Channa was great. She was always available, the job site was clean and any issues were addressed. I'd work again with Channa any day. I'd never work with Patrice again, and the selection process was chaotic and ridiculous. I've turned numerous friends and family away from Bloomfield at union park because of Patrice.

A number of issues with a new home

We have had a number of issues with our new home. These have ranged from a massive leak in the utility room that damaged the drywall to unfinished areas under the sink. Our latest issue seems to be another water leak that has led to a water bill for 25,000 gallons of water and what seems to be a loose screw or wire that was in the garbage disposal (our first use of it was greeted by a sharp metallic sound). We enjoy the home and it looks nice, but it just feels like a never ending chain of problems that we have to deal with. My wife felt so very good about the home when we bought it. She was ...

I've been in my home one month and 10 days and due to carelessness have had a water leak. I've been without the complete use of my kitchen since May 28th. The Bloomfield representative has been excellent getting the situation resolved, however nothing was offered for this inconvenience until I asked. One can expect some things to be corrected but not a water leak.

I wish someone would have fully explained that there is three years of home automation service included with the purchase. The home automation company began calling me on my way home from closing and was very pushy making me think they were just another salesman. Warranty department needs improvement. I called in a warranty issue on December 4 and was never contacted by the subcontractor. Almost a month went by and I had to contact the subcontractor and begin the process with them. I specifically asked Bloomfield if the A/C units were conventional units or heat pumps and was told they ...

My overall experience in building with Bloomfield Homes was just okay nothing to rave about. Communication from the builders was not proactive and the overall quality of materials and workmanship is below expectations. When selecting upgrades, It's important to keep in mind that you paying for the aesthetics not the aesthetics, quality material, and quality workmanship. For example, selecting shaker cabinets and the premium kitchen upgrade came with visible nail holes, rail hardware that doesn't support the drawers, and dinged-up drawers. We are also still trying to clean up residual gunk ...

I understand that Covid is messed a lot of things up, but to take more than 13 months for basic house is ridiculous. Also, not to be able to make any changes at all was frustrating. You should call yourself Bloomfield track homes. I will say that the communication or lack there of was the biggest issue for us. From the salesman to the builder it was terrible. I heard great reviews about the company. I was referred by someone in another subdivision. I visited several other locations and experienced high level of professionalism. I was expecting the same level of professionalism here but didn't receive it. I was first ignored, then greeted by "Are you buying, if not you can look around because I'm busy..." Getting small things repaired for a new construction home is a challenge. The warranty people are responsive but the time frame to follow through with getting things fixed end up being delayed Example: Dishwasher, floors, fence, and tub need repair in my new construction home. Scheduling for warranty items only occur during the week day from 8:00-5:00, so it's challenging to get things fixed when you work. I had a Bloomfield home built that was suppose to be ready by December but I didn't close until mid March. I hired a private inspector who found several things that needed to be fixed prior to moving in. Most things were minor but Bloomfield made it seem as if it wasn't a big issue. Well if you are having a brand new house built then you want it to look and feel new. Upon moving in some of those things were still not fixed and additionally I found several other things. After only living in the house for a month my closet racks have ripped from the wall causing all of my clothes to fall down ...
