Not happy with the quality of workmanship and very long wait time without any reasonable explanation. There are multiple small issue all around the house which makes you feel like buying a used home rather than the brand new house. We did not want them to delay the closing to address those little issues, due to our existing extended lease expiration date. I know, there is warranty available to address those issues which is very nice to know but as I said,I would expect them to be done properly at first place in a BRAND NEW home. Also, I have observed, some certain plans are built by ...

Attention to basic detail is lacking There were expected construction delays in building the home and now that we are in the home, we are noticing multiple issues most small. There were statements made prior to closing, specifically to the SEER rating on the HVAC that were unsubstantiated. we were told the home was supposed to have a 16 SEER unit and were told they weren't available, i checked with the manufacturer to find this did not appear to be true. Instead, Bloomfield made the statement that we would get a 15 SEER 'equivalent' unit. I asked for documentation on how ...

While the price was reasonable and the communication with sales person was good, the overall quality and craftsmanship of the home was very poor. We are still dealing with plumbing issues and things that should have been taken care of prior to closing. Lastly, wiring in attic is all over and not neatly attached to rafters or in a conduit.

We are always looking for ways to improve the home building experience for our home buyers, so we appreciate your feedback, Mark. If someone from Bloomfield that has authority sees this, I've written you as well. Where was the project manager? I brought up several concerns that were flat out ignored (work wasn't completed properly for warranty purposes). We did a punch list walk through 2 weeks before closing and half the items weren't completed. Had to get a painter over to at least handle all the baseboard touch ups from the wood flooring because I didn't have time to mess with delaying movers and dealing with having all furniture shifted to get to it. Other items, like patching missing trim, was left undone. ...

All in all, I feel like the home is a well-built home. However, the attention to the detail work is lacking - trim work, paint, caulking, granite cuts & fireplace stone.

Upon the closing of our home, there where some final items that where supposedly done that was not. The under laying of our kitchen cabinets where not painted all the way through. The mantle on the fireplace is still leaning to this day. The quality of the paint was disturbing because it easily stains and wipes off easily. The landscaping is full of rocks and rebar was left around the backyard and a huge one in the ground on the side of the house. The chalking around the wood is expanding, and the house wasn’t cleaned on our closing day and the lawn was not cut. I was very disappointed with ...

The overall buying experience I can say was pretty seamless but a lot of that I contribute to our real estate agent, she is amazing, keeps us at arms lengths of issues that arise. She kept us at ease the whole time. Reassured us that it was all going to work out. Bloomfield was always nice and all but definitely once we got in the home, it took 2 weeks to get our pool key, took over a month to get the people to come out for the security system and that customer service was horrible and to be honest it was disappointing that Bloomfield only provides a BASIC security system, no camera on the ...

Immediately off to a bad start when the water line was in the middle of the closet floor and had to be rerouted. Workers were not careful to protect the work of others. Brand new cabinets and counters had paint from painters not bothering to cover them before painting. Painters cleaned up in the brand new sink leaving paint and scratches. Someone used the microwave and got sauce all over the inside and left it dirty. Workers would leave trash like food wrappers and spilled food on the floors and counters. Workers made holes for ducts in the wrong places which led to an immediate need for a ...

I liked the pricing of the house compared to competitors and also the customization options. Things looked okay until I saw the insulation methodology. The thing I can't digest is the usage of cardboard for weather barrier which coupled with the workmanship which is mediocre. So I am gonna have to live in a noisy, leaky, uncomfortable house with potential mold and pest problems. I expect better quality house for paying over a half million dollar. They are also rubbing it in by using weather barrier with 1in foam for all the houses that are currently under construction aroind my house.

On the day of closing we saw many issues left unaddressed but it wasn’t admitted properly. Very little or no information has been provided during the construction stages. I feel like I paid an extra 25K comparatively with my neighbors who have closings upcoming. I don’t know why I got this price even after going through all the painful booking process in 2021 nov. old property manager doesn’t give any information or any incentives to any one. Very limited interior upgrades available comparatively with other builders. New property manager is complete opposite. I felt like I should have bought home in 2023 with new property manager.

Zero builder quality checks on trades as house is built. Cheap plastic windows and siding. They let the city inspectors do the review for code and fix only what the inspectors require, versus what should be fixed per construction norm. They will not fix defects in phase but prefer to try to close and have it fixed by warranty if they agree. Sprinkler system PVC depth about 1-2 inches so it will freeze and break. Flower beds consist of unsecure stones just laid on top of the ground, and then clay placed inside the bed on top of original grass that was never removed. Beds are full of ...

We have a large white pipe sticking up in the back yard that we knew nothing about it was late in the build. Then come to find out at the closing table that it has to stay because it belongs to the community behind us and that there is an easement so it has us limited to what we can do in the back yard. Back yard is slopped pretty bad as well makes it almost unusable for the kids to play.
