Bloomfield is the worst!!
- Shaun C.

Bloomfield has the worst workmanship I’ve ever had! I’ve bought homes from KB homes, Richmond Homes, And Seeno homes, by far Bloomfield is the worst! You can see all the drywall tape, patching on walls door trim damages and baseboards damages! This is a new home and I am the first owner, but this home looks like someone lived here before damaged a bunch of stuff and they hired Mexicans from Home Depot’s parking lot to fix it!

Slow, rushed, and no communication

Our house took 13 months to complete, was only supposed to take 6. Communication from the sales and builder side is awful. We didn't have a closing date until 2 days before we actually closed. End product of home was great, and they stand by their warranty but they need new sales staff and much better communication.
Bloomfield Homes responded:
We appreciate your feedback, Mark, and apologize for the communication and delays. We are always looking for ways to improve the home building experience for our buyers. We are glad to hear you're pleased with the end product, and that warranty issues are being handled. Decent house with an absentee sales team

I bought the house because I knew I liked it from looking at photos online and reviewing the price. When I arrived at the community, the people working the sales office tossed us keys to a few houses and told me to take a look. A couple of those houses were 75-100k outside of my stated price range so they either weren't listening to me or they didn't care. I also had trouble getting basic answers to questions from them during the closing process. They were nice enough people, but I don't understand what they actually do there or why they are being paid.
Bloomfield Homes responded:
We apologize that you felt that way and can assure we care about our homeowners. If you wish to speak with someone from our corporate office about these items, please contact Director of Sales, Paul Conedera, at (214) 493-8152. We hope you are enjoying your new home now, and your new community. ...

I do not wish the sales rep Fran on anyone. She looses all paperwork never remembers any. Basically had to send her screen shots to get my paperwork correct. As for Material home is great but the fence is horrible the first day in we had to start putting out money for it. We are 30 days in and over $600 that the builder would not fix. Its very bad. I have contacted warrity but no response.
Bloomfield Homes responded:

Displeased the sales/build process but I love my home

I love my home now, but I did not enjoy the home buying process with the Bloomfield sales representative who I found difficult to work with as he often did not like to answer questions and was rude when he did not know the answer. I also received inaccurate information on many occasions. Also, the original project manager assigned to me was terrible and never provided me with updates. I had to ask for updates along the way and missed a lot of the home building progress because if this. I eventually was paired with an excellent project manager but this was only about a month before the home ...

The home is gorgeous.. worth all the unpleasantness we dealt with for a year.. we started out with an amazing property manager who was very open and honest and communicated great. I also appreciated the project manager for his honesty along the way.. I understand covid was also in play so we were as understanding as possible.. they let go of our property manager and brought in someone we don’t trust at all. We waited from March of 2021 and moved in March of 2022… spent a lot of money living month to month on apartments cause we were given a closing date 4 different times. The title company ...

Over all I do like my new house, but the ask of this survey is to rate my experience. First off the build was a month late. I know this build was in the middle of a pandemic, but the reality is it caused me to live out of my RV for a month. It also forced me to keep my household items in storage an extra month. Second blinds were written into my contract but did not get installed till after I moved in. I had to take time off from work trot them to finish something that should have been done before I moved in. Third is my front door was wrapped and was leaving a half inch gap between the ...

I give Bloomfield homes a 2 start rate based on the lack of attention to detail on the craftsmanship of my home. The lack of communication between the sales team and builder with buyer, lack of communication between the warranty department and contractors doing the job. For a first time home buyer our experience was not one filled with milestones and excitement. We had updated our self with may calls and trips to the house. The sales team lacks communication and organization skills. The builder did not get updated on change orders and that led to use having to settle for materials we did not ...

We decided to build with Bloomfield based off of reviews from family friends and quality of the home. However, we did not have the greatest experience in our buying process due to an overwhelming lack of communication. This was not our first build, so we knew what to expect. We understood that during this time, supply chain issues, COVID restrictions and more would delay our completion. But we didn’t anticipate that we’d spend weeks without a reply to an email/phone call or an update. We didn’t expect they’d change construction manager without letting us know. We didn’t expect that we’d ...

Experienced a bunch of issues with the timeline changing sometimes on a weekly basis. Additionally when it came to integrity of the build there was back and fourth about how the walls should be finished. For Example - the walls downstairs looked like there were waves in them going in and out. When brought to the builder it was attempted to be justified and then went to why we shouldn't fix it. This was very disappointing because if there is an issue the answer should be simple. (Sorry we missed this we will fix this right away,) There seemed to be more excuses with this team than ...

Will state up front that we love our new house. It is wonderful, quality construction, a fantastic modern house. We are very happy there. But getting to that point was a painstaking process that almost caused us to pull out. We signed our paperwork on Memorial Day weekend, broke ground in August, yet didn't move in until late the following July. While I didn't expect that 6 to 8 month build the saleslady predicted, I did not think that it would take 14 months. Communication was poor and usually initiated by me. I can handle that part of it, but the excuses I got (when I got any) were ...

Disappointing Experience with Bloomfield Homes

From start to finish, the lack of communication and poor customer service were glaring issues that made the entire process frustrating and stressful. First and foremost, the communication from Bloomfield Homes was abysmal. There were countless instances where I had to follow up multiple times to get any updates on the progress of my home. My wife and I were very excited about the house but as we came by every week to check the construction progress, we started to get worried. Although I have now closed on a beautiful home, I was highly disappointed in this process. My sales associate was great however, the builde did an awful job. I have multiple photos that show the defects in spliced studs. I was constantly liked to and when I reached out to the builder to discuss issues I was fed even more lies. I came out every weekend to keep an eye on things and basically had to perform the QA process of a build myself. We bought a spec home prior to the foundation being laid; however, we were not allowed to change any of the options or color selections. Even though there were several options we would have chosen differently, we were OK with that. We asked for only one thing, to pay for two extra network ports to be added to the five that are included with the house. The sales person initially said yes; but later the builder said “no” and said, in fact, for the five included ports that they would run wires through the walls, but that we would have to go down to Home Depot and buy the ports ourselves and ...
