Attention first home buyers!!

We are a first time home buyer, and we had high expectations, and we were very excited with our first house! We moved on May 31, 2019, and for our surprise, a lot of things on the house were unfinished having knowledge before the closing day of such problems and details. Today is July 7th, 2019 and we continuos having sketchy stuff like the doors of the study room are unpainted, the paint details in the rest of the house are incomplete. We never received the set of the different paint colors used in our home to fix accidents that happened during the moving process. We asked M. for ...

Many issues since Day 1 of moving in

Poor workmanship and a lack of attention to detail. Ceiling leaked, yard drainage issues, lost water pressure, poor caulking/weather stripping, many things not leveled/are crooked, cabinets now starting to crack, retaining walls cracking. The list goes on. I've only been in the home a couple of months. My high marks go to the responsiveness to issues as the builder in this area has been great to work with and really seems to care. He makes sure to get our issues resolved when we make contact. I was just hoping for better quality at this price point and not to have this many issues so early ...

My Primrose V is a beautiful home, I am actually enjoying today. What I am disappointed with is the workmanship issues that I am constantly finding, I can forward pictures if needed. Some issues were promptly taken care of by Jason while others made known to him have been lingering.I have actually fixed some issues myself because of the delayed response from Jason.I would really like for someone to visit my home so that I can cover all workmanship issues and help future Bloomfield customers enjoy a better product.

My first home was built by a different builder at a simillar price point and the design, build quality, workmanship, response to issues, customer issues, etc. were far above that of Bloomfield. Prior to and since moving in I have had issue after issue and have been unimpressed to say the least by the home. Plumbing issue in the second bathroom in the wall. The new wall had to be cut out to repair. How was this not tested? Crack in the ceiling of the main hallway at closing, they repaired, and it came back worse in less than a month. Builder didn't even want to fix it. I was told the ...

Seller was great. I had lots of issues with the builder about not addressing issues I brought up during construction and prior to closing that were supposed to have been resolved. Whenever I reach out for an issue I got the feeling that he was irritated with my requests despite me having no irritation in paying the money for the house. This was a transaction - I pay and you deliver the goods as promised. Bloomfield did not keep their part as I am still dealing with repairs which is very inconveniencing as I have to adjust my work schedule. I have been very disappointed with this process ...

Construction manager was let go during the build process and we were never told. We had to continually ask for a status. Once we closed we didn’t receive a welcome package. We had to ask how does warranty service does work. We were never told Ranger offered free automation. Every time we asked questions we were made to feel like we were a burden on them. Once we moved in we were unaware there was a small gas leak in the fireplace. All the network jacks we had requested were installed with phone jacks. When we brought it up to warranty service guy he rejected it because he said it would cost ...

Please know that a Bloomfield Home is a tract home. They speak of the quality in their homes, but they do not deliver. Bloomfield Homes has no quality control. They want to build a home and move on to the next home. Materials and workmanship are lacking in quality. Sales manager and warranty manager display minor interest in purchaser satisfaction.

This is my 3rd and most expensive new build. Unfortunately, this has been my worst homebuying experience. First, my keys were given to me in a ziplock bag. Contractors did not clean home...in fact, carpets were stained from red dirt. My advice to other customers is to please make sure ALL repairs are completed prior to closing. This company only allows one (initial) walk through...they do not record recommended fixes. Approximately 80% of recommended repairs were NOT completed prior to closing. In less than 30 days, I have had 15+ contractors in and out of my home to fix different issues ...

We went with Bloomfield expecting a great buying experience, yet it became a nightmare for us and our realtor. Communication is horrible and the least important piece of the buying experience to them. There is no clarity between builder and buyer which raise many red flags. We love our home, but the struggle to get to this point will not be forgotten. Bloomfield also need to do a review of their sub-contractors very poor craftsmanship of their homes.

The actual purchasing process went very smoothly, just the occasional hiccup as one would expect in any process. The workmanship and materials, however, are terrible. Cabinet trim separations, rusted fireplace screen, exterior trim that wasn't painted, paint slopped onto the window frames, concrete that crumbles by hand and has mesh/cables coming out of it, no touch-up kit for paint, paint and texture cracked and flaking off of the walls in EVERY room, popouts in the driveway concrete, dried mortar all over the bricks, damaged volute (wooden first step) improperly installed, AC registers that ...

Sales person lies and uses selective language to help lock you into a contract. During the construction the lies won’t stop even if you present evidence to the staff. The quality of work needs much more supervision from the project manager. From broken tiles to areas where grout is was missing by to areas where tape and beading is is flaking to areas not taped. Glass shower enclosure glass was loose and scullion wasn’t applied yet project manager presumes this is how it should be.

Our home buying experience with Bloomfield has been the worst customer service experience of our lives. We were informed, mid covid (August 2020), that we would be closing 4-6 months after signing, that was not the case. We ended up closing almost 12 months after signing. The only time we got information of possible delays on our closing date were when we reached out to Jason, and his forecasts were always months off from the truth. It has now been also 90 days after closing and I still have yet to have all lf the repairs issue acknowledged and or fixed. We made your builder aware that the Ac wasn’t working upstairs 6 weeks prior to closing. It wasn’t fixed on time and we were forced to move our closing back. We did our blue tape walk through and some of the issues were ignored. I brought this up to the builder and he told us that he could move the closing back again when he knew that we had to be out of our other house by a certain date. We could not move our closing back again. For us this ruined what would have been a great experience.

We are basically happy with our home, but only because we like the design and location. Bloomfield has been a chore to work with throughout the selection, build and start of the warranty process. Jason, the builder rep., was very inconsistent with what options were offered compared to other Bloomfield owners, and when we discovered some of these options, we were told "you can fix that after closing, no changes are allowed after the contract is signed."
