Disappointed

In light of the ongoing pandemic, understandably there were some shortages. But 15 months we waited patiently for our home to be complete. There were months when it was dormant with no activity, no communication. At 12 months we began reaching out to the builder and no response by phone, email or text; When we finally arrived unexpectedly at the show house, we were told IT's Bloomfield policy to not communicate with pending owners, that's the job of the site manager. Unprofessional and rude! Before closing we were met with hostility and blatant disrespect , and poor craftmanship with ...

I loved the homes and the value but the service from the sale agent was below the normal. Maybe due to current market conditions but got the impression that he could careless if we purchased.

Wish I could write a great review but unfortunately the process was the worst I have had when buying a new home. Already having issues with pipes leaking delays from having simple tasks done. One would assume that when you purchase a new home you have no concerns when it comes to things breaking. wish this was the case. We love the home and the value but just trying to have minor or major repairs done is a extremely difficult task. I understand things break but good service is when you are able to have the repairs done in a reasonable time. Selling agent was rude to our realtor and ...

Not at all what we thought it would be for our first time buying a home. Landscaping is horrible tons of rocks under the sod. Water doesn’t drain on one side of the house. Still waiting to get some things repaired. The builder knows that the contractors do SLOPPY work and they drink on the job which is bad all together beer bottles be everywhere. Still waiting to hear back from the warranty department.. Still waiting for issues discovered during the walk through to be resolved. Moved in over 2 months ago. Concrete driveway has/had multiple cracks and chunks of concrete missing before we moved in. Paint was all over the very expensive hardwood floor and it took two months of haggling to get them repaired. Looked like my husband painted the house rather than professional painters. Shower tile grout did not get sealed, glass in master shower had to be replaced due to large scratches. Master shower door does not shut properly so after every shower there is water on the floor. I purchased a Bloomfield home in the Arrow Brooke community in Aubrey/Little Elm, based on the online pictures and the schools mentioned by the project office. However, the home is quite different from what was shown in the pictures—for instance, there is no fireplace—and the school districts are different from what was advertised, which feels misleading. I'm now struggling with the inconvenience of commuting 5 miles to send my kids to school.

We are first time home buyers, overall experience was very difficult and frustrating with Bloomfield sales person and the builder I worked with. My house elevation was not accurately done as promised(as per blue print), about elevation we discussed during our builder’s meet, they clearly agreed the house will be as per blue print and I paid premium/additional upgrade money just for elevation. It was promised by Sales person that money will be credited for not having elevation as per the plan but at end no credit was given to me. Seems bloomfield is more concerned with performing the bare minimum to sell than turning a quality product. Approximately 2 months in and already submitting a second list of warranty items. This one to include excessive floor noise from the second level while several issues have still not been addressed from the first warranty submitted. Do not trust ANYTHING that the community manager at Star Ranch tells you. Get EVERYTHING in writing -- and I mean EVERYTHING, down to the very last, most minute detail. If not, you will be very upset when things don't go how you were told they would, and the community manager denies saying any of it. I don't know what to say except to quote standards that meets an approved industry standard. You can check yourself the International Code Council Sec 1604.4 Wind Standards for this area is 90 MPH and the same section defines how wind speeds are determined. If you listen to the weather stations they quote wind gust not wind speed. The project manager could have pulled that to someone else and it would have worked, just so happen it pulled that on the wrong person who knew better.
