I give Bloomfield homes a 2 start rate based on the lack of attention to detail on the craftsmanship of my home. The lack of communication between the sales team and builder with buyer, lack of communication between the warranty department and contractors doing the job. For a first time home buyer our experience was not one filled with milestones and excitement. We had updated our self with may calls and trips to the house. The sales team lacks communication and organization skills. The builder did not get updated on change orders and that led to use having to settle for materials we did not ...

We are always looking for ways to improve our home buyers experience. Lack of Communication

We decided to build with Bloomfield based off of reviews from family friends and quality of the home. However, we did not have the greatest experience in our buying process due to an overwhelming lack of communication. This was not our first build, so we knew what to expect. We understood that during this time, supply chain issues, COVID restrictions and more would delay our completion. But we didn’t anticipate that we’d spend weeks without a reply to an email/phone call or an update. We didn’t expect they’d change construction manager without letting us know. We didn’t expect that we’d ...

Started with one good sales agent, the agent then left and was replaced by a terrible one. Never would I imagine you would have to pull teeth to buy a house in a market where inventory is sitting vacant. The agent made the whole process annoying and terrible and still never met the agent given the agent was on vacation, again, the day I picked up my keys. Still have my name wrong and get contacts from people looking for someone that doesn't live here, thanks for that fun conversation with every one of the waranty people. I can only hope the commission went to the people that actually did the ...

Experienced a bunch of issues with the timeline changing sometimes on a weekly basis. Additionally when it came to integrity of the build there was back and fourth about how the walls should be finished. For Example - the walls downstairs looked like there were waves in them going in and out. When brought to the builder it was attempted to be justified and then went to why we shouldn't fix it. This was very disappointing because if there is an issue the answer should be simple. (Sorry we missed this we will fix this right away,) There seemed to be more excuses with this team than ...

Love the House - Hate how long it took

Will state up front that we love our new house. It is wonderful, quality construction, a fantastic modern house. We are very happy there. But getting to that point was a painstaking process that almost caused us to pull out. We signed our paperwork on Memorial Day weekend, broke ground in August, yet didn't move in until late the following July. While I didn't expect that 6 to 8 month build the saleslady predicted, I did not think that it would take 14 months. Communication was poor and usually initiated by me. I can handle that part of it, but the excuses I got (when I got any) were ...

Defects were found during the building process and pointed out to Project Manager, Instead of properly correcting the issue it would just be covered up instead. There are several issues that are very sub par quality in workmanship.

Disappointing Experience with Bloomfield Homes

From start to finish, the lack of communication and poor customer service were glaring issues that made the entire process frustrating and stressful. First and foremost, the communication from Bloomfield Homes was abysmal. There were countless instances where I had to follow up multiple times to get any updates on the progress of my home. Simple questions often went unanswered for days or even weeks, leaving me in the dark about important decisions and timelines. Furthermore, when I did manage to get in touch with someone, the customer service was consistently subpar. Responses were often ...

My wife and I were very excited about the house but as we came by every week to check the construction progress, we started to get worried. Many issues the project manager was missing and we felt that if it wasn't because we were making them aware, they wouldn't even noticed. Don't trust the process! Check yourself weekly to make sure everything is to your plans. Cabinets are a joke specially if you order them white. Although I have now closed on a beautiful home, I was highly disappointed in this process. My sales associate was great however, the builde did an awful job. I have multiple photos that show the defects in spliced studs. I was constantly liked to and when I reached out to the builder to discuss issues I was fed even more lies. I came out every weekend to keep an eye on things and basically had to perform the QA process of a build myself. I understand the delays in material that we are experiencing but that does not excuse the builder changing my closing date two days before I am supposed to ...

We bought a spec home prior to the foundation being laid; however, we were not allowed to change any of the options or color selections. Even though there were several options we would have chosen differently, we were OK with that. We asked for only one thing, to pay for two extra network ports to be added to the five that are included with the house. The sales person initially said yes; but later the builder said “no” and said, in fact, for the five included ports that they would run wires through the walls, but that we would have to go down to Home Depot and buy the ports ourselves and ...

There was an issue with one of the window, but it was patched and inspection passed. Then soon after, rain water leaking through the window and damage the windows. Service ticket opened. I pressed the urgent issue due to window leak and caused MOLD. Window service and open up the windows and mold discovered. The service men tried to patch the window up without proper testing for leaking. After weeks, they decided that they ordered new windows. The room is not usable for more than a month now. We are a first time home buyer, and we had high expectations, and we were very excited with our first house! We moved on May 31, 2019, and for our surprise, a lot of things on the house were unfinished having knowledge before the closing day of such problems and details. Today is July 7th, 2019 and we continuos having sketchy stuff like the doors of the study room are unpainted, the paint details in the rest of the house are incomplete. Poor workmanship and a lack of attention to detail. Ceiling leaked, yard drainage issues, lost water pressure, poor caulking/weather stripping, many things not leveled/are crooked, cabinets now starting to crack, retaining walls cracking. The list goes on. I've only been in the home a couple of months. My high marks go to the responsiveness to issues as the builder in this area has been great to work with and really seems to care. My first home was built by a different builder at a simillar price point and the design, build quality, workmanship, response to issues, customer issues, etc. were far above that of Bloomfield. Prior to and since moving in I have had issue after issue and have been unimpressed to say the least by the home. Plumbing issue in the second bathroom in the wall. Well, first of all the house was not professionally cleaned. I know I was out of state, but the Home Builder should have caught a lot of these problems. I've had to have warranty work fixed and I have an issue with having so many floor tiles to be replaced. Also, my two bathrooms need to be re-grouted and for being a new home they should've been grouted correctly the first time. I also have a window in my master bathroom that the windowsill is not finished so the workmanship is not there for me.
