The non stopping lies

  • Luis V.

Sales person lies and uses selective language to help lock you into a contract. During the construction the lies won’t stop even if you present evidence to the staff. The quality of work needs much more supervision from the project manager. From broken tiles to areas where grout is was missing by to areas where tape and beading is is flaking to areas not taped. Glass shower enclosure glass was loose and scullion wasn’t applied yet project manager presumes this is how it should be.

Unnecessary delays and unprofessional builder

Our home buying experience with Bloomfield has been the worst customer service experience of our lives. We were informed, mid covid (August 2020), that we would be closing 4-6 months after signing, that was not the case. We ended up closing almost 12 months after signing. The only time we got information of possible delays on our closing date were when we reached out to Jason, and his forecasts were always months off from the truth. Keith clearly lacks any customer service experience and has very little organization skills. Keith waited until the day before we were supposed to close to order ...

Before closing there were a lot of promises kept to repair issues that were found, after closing I was advised to create a list of repair items. It has now been also 90 days after closing and I still have yet to have all lf the repairs issue acknowledged and or fixed. The project manager tends to deny every issue that I find and tried to state that any issue found would.not be fixed until the 1 year inspection after I read the warranty document that states that I should be getting issues fixed as soon as possible. My sod is dead and I advised the project manager as such and have been getting ...

We made your builder aware that the Ac wasn’t working upstairs 6 weeks prior to closing. It wasn’t fixed on time and we were forced to move our closing back. We did our blue tape walk through and some of the issues were ignored. I brought this up to the builder and he told us that he could move the closing back again when he knew that we had to be out of our other house by a certain date. We could not move our closing back again. For us this ruined what would have been a great experience.

We are basically happy with our home, but only because we like the design and location. Bloomfield has been a chore to work with throughout the selection, build and start of the warranty process. Jason, the builder rep., was very inconsistent with what options were offered compared to other Bloomfield owners, and when we discovered some of these options, we were told "you can fix that after closing, no changes are allowed after the contract is signed." Additionally, items like "upgrading" to comfort height toilets incurred an upcharge of $200 per toilet - essentially meaning we bought ...

We have built before with Bloomfield, but this experience was quite different. Unfortunately, the Project Manager, Floyd Argue, decided that he would not fix any issues on the house and actually asked us not to contact him with concerns. He struggled with basic knowledge of the building process and was not available for questions, concerns, or even basic walk through.

Unfortunately, my home buying experience with Bloomfield Homes has been horrible so far. On my closing day (Oct 17) approx 75% of final repairs were not completed as promised. To make matters worse, Jared, the project manager was so disrespectful and threw a tantrum when asked about said repairs. He does not take accountability in making sure that Bloomfield Homes are completed to their once reputable standards. Two weeks after moving into my home I experienced a leak in my ceiling that was supposedly repaired prior to closing. I also experienced a gas leak in my two days before ...

The initial sales process and staff was wonderful. However, the end of the construction and closing was atrocious. Items called out during the walk through were not addressed in a timely manner. I submitted a report from my home inspector and those things were not addressed as well. Most were finally addressed after I moved in but my closing was delayed because of these issues and I just wanted reassurance that the things would be taken care of. Everything started off being great, and as we started to get closer to closing everything went down hill. We was promised and told things that was not really true about how we would pay for things. We was told that our first payment would take place 3 months after we closed, which we started the month right after closing. There was issues with the alarm system stating that they would allow us to use the system for a year, and then we would pick up with it if we like the system. Then when speaking with the people with Ranger, we was informed that it was false information that was giving to us. ...

Took 10 months for our house to be completed. Understand it was a challenge to build a house during a pandemic but we were initially told April and home was "completed" in July. We closed in July as we were asked to do. It is now September and we still have several punch list items outstanding. Also some problems we found after we closed and moved in. It has been a challenge getting items repaired. We were recently informed by Bloomfield that we need to deal directly with the sub contractors instead of notifying Bloomfield. It's a beautiful home and arquitecture and the customer service is great in the first part of the process all the way untill you sign and move in but in my case . House over all is good. But when it comes down to the details, it lacks. Lots of cosmetic issues with the interior paint, landscaping, caulking, etc. Getting Bloomfield to come out and attend to issues is slow at best. Most of the issues I’m fixing myself in fear Bloomfield will eventually send someone out who won’t fix it or make it worse. Overall, not impressed and kinda disappointed as Bloomfield should theoretically be a better builder than say a KB.

Cheaply built houses being sold for premium prices

Quality of house is terrible. There is evidence of cheapest materials used through out every part of house construction. Because of this, there is no cold insulation in winter nor heat insulation during summer. Adding to that, the HVAC system is the cheapest version possible which struggles to keep the house warm during the mildest winters. To make things worse, the HVAC uses up 60% to 70% more gas to keep house reasonably warm. To keep the house at ideal temperature would mean thousands of dollars in monthly gas bills. The appliances seem to have been picked up from a clearance or ...

The initial process was great. Everyone was friendly, attentive, responsive, and enjoyable to work with. The ending has been horrific. After signing, I was told by multiple people not to worry about issues that I see because Bloomfield would take care of them. The stainless steel sinks in the kitchen and laundry room were scratched beyond belief. The tubs had several scratches on them. When I complained about them, a worker was sent and sanded the scratches on all three tubs; therefore, one side of each tub was glossy and the other side was rough. I complained about the rough side, then, a ...

There were a lot of promises about quality and service and the more I live on my house the more I realized they cut corners or that things were done at the promised expectations. Awful service by the “partners” or prepaid services our builder choose. Really bad communication or notice. The only good service we received was by the construction manager that was extremely polite and detailed when we did the walk thru for the property. The paint drops on the wood floor, paint/texture on granite counters and poor workmanship with the caulking in the bathroom was quite surprising! It truly looks like a 5 year old caulked the bathroom. This was pointed out to the project manager during our new homeowner orientation, but nothing has been done since.
