The home is beautiful, however upon moving in a lot of imperfections were noticed. It was very easy spot areas where the work was rushed, including the horrible paint job that can be seen in the evenings. A few repairs were made after getting my realtor involved, but the major concerns had been ignored and the responsiveness of the responsible parties is awful. If I had the opportunity to give this house back and go with another builder I definitely would. I feel like I could’ve gotten a better home for the money that I spent and I really regret not going with one of the other homes I viewed. ...

But when I asked the salesman about the process and what I needed to do, he sarcastically said "qualify for the loan" and he went back to what he was doing, That should have been my first clue to leave and not return. We had a poor experience with this builder. We had many concerns with the way the work crews were treating our property including drinking alcohol on the work premise. Our concerns were never truly addressed and we were given answers stating that our GC barely had enough time to view our house 1 time a week if that due to the number of houses he had to oversee. Inconsistent texture on the walls. Faucet leaked. Cabinet cracks. Gaps around outlets. Light fixture not connected to a switch. Attic door misaligned. Lots of area over sprayed. Very unfortunate with current COVID situation, otherwise we would be requesting warranty work to be done immediately.

It wasn't easy to communicate with the builder. My questions were answered with (per code, within the limit, per design). The builder had fake passed test reports and was trying to convince me that everything was perfect, while my 3rd party inspection found lots of minor and major issues.

Bloomfield Home plans are beautiful. And the models are beautiful, but what you receive will have you dissappointed. They don't correct all of the items you call out from your walk through. A vendor informed me they couldn't do a better repair job b/c of the type of material the builder chose to use. Im constantly reminded of the poor quality of work. Holes behind outlet panels, crappy texture work, etc. Highly disappointed in the quality of work on our home for the price. You'll learn how to use the warranty portal quickly, but don't expect a quick response.

Poor Workmanship Becomes Your Problem

So many problems have been found in my home, just know Bloomfield won’t fix any of them. They will give you the run around, blame you and then just ignore your warranty. If you are moving into a new build you get the pleasure of listening to blaring music from the workers, the streets are literally trashed with garbage all over, and the nails in my tires have made me very popular at the tire store. Would never buy a. Bloomfield again. Took 17 months to build my home and seldom if ever was I provided an update on the home. Communication is very poor with Bloomfield homes. I will say Jerry the builder did help us us and provided us with the answered we needed.

I was so excited to get my Bloomfield home. This was my first home and the home was so beautiful. I heard so many things about Bloomfield and how they’re such quality builders. From the beginning, we were lied to. The interest rate for preferred homes and inventory was 4.99% with the preferred lender… we bought a home from the inventory and were not offered that. Communication was terrible, after the payment we didn't hear anything from the seller and were sent to do negotiations with the lender. The whole process was stressful.

In light of the ongoing pandemic, understandably there were some shortages. But 15 months we waited patiently for our home to be complete. There were months when it was dormant with no activity, no communication. How sloppy all the work was. And how the contractors had to continuously come back and fix everything. Landscaping is horrible tons and tons of rocks left under the sod water will not drain on one side of the house. Still waiting to get things fixed.

Builder very disrespectful when speaking with clients. Sales person gives misinformation and lie and denies when called out on it. Builder not willing to correct major structural changes that the client was given and offered by sales person nor compensate to the inaccuracies.

We have had multiple problems and we have been brushed off for the most part. We also have not.closed on our home and have been given the run around the whole time. The close date is already 3 months behind and Nick is the rudest contractor! We have not ever built a home from scratch and after this experience, we won’t again! Still waiting for issues discovered during the walk through to be resolved. Moved in over 2 months ago. Concrete driveway has/had multiple cracks and chunks of concrete missing before we moved in. Paint was all over the very expensive hardwood floor and it took two months of haggling to get them repaired. Looked like my husband painted the house rather than professional painters. Home description on web is not same as reality

I purchased a Bloomfield home in the Arrow Brooke community in Aubrey/Little Elm, based on the online pictures and the schools mentioned by the project office. However, the home is quite different from what was shown in the pictures—for instance, there is no fireplace—and the school districts are different from what was advertised, which feels misleading. I'm now struggling with the inconvenience of commuting 5 miles to send my kids to school.
