The Bloomfield brand extremely over rated but homes have some good qualities,

Consider your experiences throughout the process, including the initial purchase, design and options selection, during the build, at final inspection, and during your final move-in: Spec home not much room for customizations How would you describe the quality and value of your new home? When we signed our purchase agreement we thought the home would be amazing but when we did our final inspection/walkthrough there were many cosmetic issues that I wouldn’t think would happen from a “quality” builder like Bloomfield. Which is usually indicative of poor subtractors. Since move in we’ve had issues with: extremely bumpy yard that had to be re-rolled, numerous electrical issues, a leaky sink(this was a manufactures error but still), a drawer that doesn’t work right ( still waiting on that subcontractor to allow house visits to repair.. we’ve been waiting 2 months so far) and a door that didn’t close properly. If and when this house is issue free it will be a great value, but until then i have my concerns. Think about your experience with the builder's team; did they do what they promised? Did they respond to you in a timely fashion? The builders team has been great and responsive to all issues that they are able to fix (still waiting on the drawer to be fixed). What would you most like potential home buyers to know about this builder? Great homes if issue free but incredible frustrating if there are issues that shouldn’t be there. ... More

We worked with many people during our first home buying experience! We worked with Michael D and Michael H the majority of the time. They were all extremely nice and comforting when deciding to make this major purchase. They were very consistent and quick to answer all of our calls and questions. It took us a few weeks to decide on which inventory home was best for us and they did not push anything on us during our wait time. We love our home and have not had any issues!

The home is beautiful and we are overall pleased, just a few workman and build things that we missed that could have been done a little better.

The sales representative was amazing but the quality of work is not what I expected. Even now I am in the house and they came to do touch up paint, the caulking at the bottom of the floor looks as if I been in the house for months. And they still missed areas with the touch up paint and when I tried to explain it to them, they didn’t understand and would make the areas worst. Smh... The quality of the paint on the kitchen cabinets disturbs me, if I slightly even hit one of the cabinets incorrect the paints clips off and it should not be that way at all. I thought that was very odd. I know things are no perfect but was highly surprised at the materials. ... More

I feel that there were corners cut when building this home. I can’t name ALL of them because there are so many. My thought is they had new workers that were starting out and my house was the test dummy. I would have liked my home to be of the same quality as the model home but one all the issues are fixed this could be a good home.

This is the 2nd home we've had built new. The first (through a different builder) was a 15 month horror story. Bloomfield replaced those terribly memories with great ones. From our initial visit through closing, every step and every person we dealt with exceeded our expectations. On top of that, the design, finishes, and quality of construction seemed a step above the other homes we considered at our price point. We'd highly recommend Bloomfield Homes.

Inconsistent texture on the walls. Faucet leaked. Cabinet cracks. Gaps around outlets. Light fixture not connected to a switch. Attic door misaligned. Lots of area over sprayed. Very unfortunate with current COVID situation, otherwise we would be requesting warranty work to be done immediately.

If you decide to have Bloomfield to build your house make sure you continuously stay on top of the process because any hesitations can lead to something not going according to the plan of your home. I was supposed to have some recessed lights installed in my living room and because I took it for granted that they would install them, they did not get installed. I talked to the builder about it and they said it was nothing they could do about it because my ceiling was to high for them to go back and install the lights. In addition, the workers were urinating on the floor of my new home and I had to bring that to the project managers attention, but he acted like it was a every day occurrence so get it over it. My house turned out good, but I had to bird dog the builder until the end. If I had to do it all over again I would use another builder just because of all of what I went through to get the house built. ... More

I have bought other houses and found them equal to or a better product.

Home was built very well. Be very specific about your wiring ie...ethernet, cable. they no nothing about smart homes and do not go with Smith Security complete ripoff on price.

Home is well built and any issues have been resolved quickly. Downside is the lot. I was promised a level lot, in particular, the backyard. Lot is not level which causes pooling of water, mud pits and drainage issues. This will cost me a lot of money to get corrected. It's obvious the lot was not graded or smoothed out prior to placing the sod. Ruts and grooves throughout. And the side yards are useless due to the extreme slope on both sides.

Overall pleased with my home purchase; however, it would be beneficial to Customers if the the grading of the property and landscaping process is reevaluated for quality improvement. I spent my effort exculvating boards with nails, plastic bottles, and trash as well as covering irrigation lines. In addition, there is poor irrigation coverage and flooding in some areas that may require one or more service calls to correct.

Upon the closing of our home, there where some final items that where supposedly done that was not. The under laying of our kitchen cabinets where not painted all the way through. The mantle on the fireplace is still leaning to this day. The quality of the paint was disturbing because it easily stains and wipes off easily. The landscaping is full of rocks and rebar was left around the backyard and a huge one in the ground on the side of the house. The chalking around the wood is expanding, and the house wasn’t cleaned on our closing day and the lawn was not cut. I was very disappointed with that because of the expectations we had and the high recommendations we had in choosing our home. ... More

Staff was great Hattie, Jacques and Indy. We had a few small issues with things we wanted fixed but Anthony the builder got it all taken care of. We love our home and our neighborhood!

The Midlothian sales team was wonderful and Chad the Builder was great as well. Bloomfield built a great home, both inside and out.

I have been so please with every step. Bloomfield is truly unique in their approach to building - creating homes, not just houses - and taking pride in what they deliver.

This was a great experience. Everyone was so helpful through out the entire process. They were always willing to answer any of my questions and go above and beyond to assist me.

We have had multiple problems and we have been brushed off for the most part. We also have not.closed on our home and have been given the run around the whole time. The close date is already 3 months behind and Nick is the rudest contractor! We have not ever built a home from scratch and after this experience, we won’t again! Please help us get into our home, so that this is over! Also, get every last one of your people some training on communication and customer service. We hav had graffiti and vandalism in our home and we are treated like we are the criminals! Is customer service dead? I have plenty to say about our terrible experience but I’m running out of room! ... More

So easy to buy a house! Helpful, friendly people (Bob and Debra) ready to answer questions, explain details, and help at all steps of the process.

We loved our experience building with Bloomfield!

It's a beautiful home and arquitecture and the customer service is great in the first part of the process all the way untill you sign and move in but in my case . Very disappointed because of damages not taken care of correctly and made worse by the companies that were sent and at the end I was told that they will not fix the problem flat out.
