Overall it was a good experience, we love the home and the neighborhood. So far we haven't had quality issues, our only criticism would be that at the move in pieces of garbage were left in the back yard, bottles, old banana peels, there were cans of beer left in the dishwasher and upstairs bathroom. And the lawn grass was getting a bit high.
Bloomfield Homes responded:
We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear about your home building experience with us. We also apologize for the condition it was in and hope that you are loving your new home. Thanks for choosing Bloomfield!

Despite purchasing / building our home during the COVID-19 pandemic, the process was smooth. Sam, the project manager was very courteous as well. The only drawback to the entire process, was the attention to detail in the finishing process. I felt that was lacking in more ways than one.
Bloomfield Homes responded:
Thank you, John, for your feedback. We will take this to heart and try to do better in the future. Congrats on your new home.

If your are putting in wood floors ensure there are no gaps and clean from scuffs during your walk through. Check all sheet rock work and caulking, we missed some need fixes upfront. You have a year for warranty work, you will probably miss things during your walk through due to the excitement of being in the community. However, it should be done right the first time.

Other than building the wrong master bathroom in our home, everything else was ok
Bloomfield Homes responded:
Thank you for providing your review Jeffrey, we do appreciate it. However, generally speaking, when you purchase a home that is already under construction or has been built, all options for the home have already been selected, are in, or have been ordered and cannot be changed in most cases, as with your home. The Project Manager or Community Manager can provide more insight for you regarding this or for follow up on any questions regarding your master bathroom please reach out to them: Jason Wynns (project manager) 817-999-2763 and Jason McFarlin (community manager) ...

We paid a good deal for our home and have had almost all of the trades back in, and some twice to fix shotty workmanship. I wish more care had been taken to build a better product.

The houses are beautiful. The builders are marvelous. However, the loan officers, and the closing process was torturous. There were too many unnecessary huddles we had to jump over. It was very frustrating. Honestly, I won't recommend your mortgage lender to anybody.

We appreciate your feedback on your home-buying experience, and we're delighted to hear that you find our houses and builders to be exceptional. Our biggest issues is getting things fixed in a timely manner. Seems like the building crews are just in a hurry to build these houses and do not take the time to do it right on certain things. From the first walk through to the last we kept pointing out stuff to be fixed and it never happened until we were just about fully moved in. Haven't heard back from the warranty company either on certain things. Our shower in the master bath has moved causing the shower door to not fully close. Mike the site manager did great and worked hard to get stuff fixed for us.
Bloomfield Homes responded:
Matthew, we appreciate your feedback and thank you for your patience. If you haven't already, please submit any items needing to be addressed to our warranty page on our website and your service manager should get back to you.

I am overall happy with our experience with Bloomfield Homes. We decided to select them since were willing to make a few custom changes for us, but it was unfortunate those items had to be managed by myself! Our so called project manager dropped the ball so many times I had to ask Community Manager who is really managing this construction. We selected the Carolina IV floor plan, but here are our top 10 items for future buyers to consider (especially those in master bathroom): 1) The entry rotunda lacks a closet if that’s important feature. 2) The master bathroom lacks a linen closet ...

Nice home…Cheap cabinetry.

Buyer pay close attention. When they tell you to point out any issues, DO IT. The builder is not checking any quality. They just let to contractors do as they please. I was surprised at what we had to point out to be fixed. I thought obvious issues would be dealt with but no. They use the cheapest constructed cabinets I’ve ever seen. Zero quality. Zero pride in workmanship. Instead of making cabinet seems fit they just stick trim over the seam. Cabinet guides were bent and not parallel. Obvious from the beginning. I kept being told everything would be taken care of. Now 1 month into ...

You should Get better contractors.I feel the painters and flooring contractors were losey could have done a better job, , also issues with plumbing, had issues with cabinets uneven. The inspector should have picked up on alot of issues of peoples homes. Your style of homes are too nice not to be done properly.

The biggest problem was that the supervisor was not here and that we had to point out problems that the working contractors were causing. We had a water leak after the stud walls were in place that never got address until we had to call it in to get fixed. We had 3 times they had to cut holes in the sheet rock to work on electric plugs that didn’t work. Each time fixing them and then having to go back and cut them out again. We still have a electric plug out side the back porch that doesn’t work. We had to have the framing contractor come back and place ceiling hangers where trusses were ...

Bloomfield Homes - Since materials and the housing market went through the roof,
- Natalie C.

Since materials and the housing market went through the roof, customer service, holding up to agreements and finishing build errors have gone straight downhill. It’s sad to realize 3 months in and just a few things left to correct and complete, I and my new home no longer seem matter to Bloomfield. I understand the market has shaken builders and buyers, but customer service should never be sacrificed in any industry or market.
Bloomfield Homes responded:
Natalie, we sincerely apologize that this has been your experience. We strive to do our very best every day on every job. Indeed, this market and the delays that have resulted due to material shortages, etc. have made things more difficult for both home builders and new home buyers. I have passed your comments along to the Warranty Department & Service Manager for Sonoma Verde. Thank you. ...

Sales person was very professional and was able to answer most questions before the purchase.

The home was built in the time frame stated by the sales person and was kept abreast of its progress. I feel that issues with fixing items that need to be corrected after closing moved slower than normal. We paid extra for ceramic floor upgrade but floor was not protected during interior painting and has areas of paint smudge that are hard to clean. I feel that the workers need to be better supervised to take care of the minor details.

Thank you for your review. We are taking this information to heart and taking some actions to improve.

I am happy with my new house, One thing I would like to mention here that the sales manager or construction manager should spend more time with the buyer to explain all items in the house to avoid extra costs to the buyer in case if the buyer wants to modify or change something in the house after closing...Many buyers are not professional in house construction and design. Please address this poin to the associated team

Cassie’s new home experience.

The allure of the home was that in the neighborhood there were various elevations. The homes were built in different styles versus cookie cutter homes. I love the bar, atty of different stone and brick combinations in the elevations floor plans. Unfortunately; I discovered lots of defects some have been properly repaired in a few. I’m still waiting on. When I did my exterior walk on the home, I don’t recall seeing the hairline cracks on both sides of the home. When I moved in, I noticed the cracks had been filled in with some type of silicone. I will give home some more time to settle ...

I also want to let you know that I have shared your concerns with the Project Manager. The silicone that you see in the brick is the expansion joint and is actually designed to prevent cracks. Our buying experience was alright. We originally wanted to purchase a different house, toured it, and were ready to make an offer when one of the assistants said they were holding it for a couple who wanted to come look at it later. We toured another home and liked it and decided to put an offer in on it. Of course the other home fell through shortly after we signed papers for this home. Overall quality is mediocre. Finding a few blue tape items were never touched, towel holders falling out of wall, closet doors warped, areas they never touched up on with paint, paint freckles all over the ...
