Sell rep. was very helpful. Walk through man was excellent. Unsatisfied Bloomfield quality: upstairs showers and toilets made loud noise water drainage to downstairs. Had several potholes in a jacuzzi tub. Three outside doors didn’t properly seal. The garage and patio concretes were worst surface finishes and cracked. I heard people next bedroom talking or adult noise from mine. Warranty man was terrible answering his client questions. All house issues are normal to him. Thank you all for your support.

Building with Bloomfield

My wife and I have lived in Melissa since 2019 and we have always been attracted to the Liberty Community. After looking at some of the lots and some of the homes offered by Bloomfield, we decided to go with them to build our custom dream home. The process of designing the home and seeing its progress week-to-week was a fun and exciting experience. There were some minor hiccups during the build that were quickly fixed (a door going into the 3rd car garage, a vent needing to be rerouted, some changes in light placement) and some things that needed to be fixed after close (overspray on the ...

We paid a good deal for our home and have had almost all of the trades back in, and some twice to fix shotty workmanship. I wish more care had been taken to build a better product.

Overall happy with Bloomfield homes and the quality/Value of the work. The closing experience was as smooth it can be. As expected there will be few issues with the new home and missed/wrong workmanship and I have a bunch of them. But the support has been good if not super responsive. Being an inventory home but still under construction with the time available to make changes, I’d have liked to have some minor changes accepted but no flexibility was offered, which to me is a big sticking point. Hope to have all the issues resolved with the help of support through the course of the first ...

Overall, the process is smooth and Bloomfield is pretty accommodating. You get a good quality home at or slightly above market value. Bloomfield needs improvement with the quality of some of their finished work. They have a “good enough” mindset and are ok with finished work not being quite right. Some of their subs do a great job and others are pretty bad. It’s the luck of the draw on who shows up to work on your house that day. A lot of the workers drink on the job which affects the quality of their work. There needs to be more oversight to help alleviate these issues. The office staff ...

Cassie’s new home experience.

The allure of the home was that in the neighborhood there were various elevations. The homes were built in different styles versus cookie cutter homes. I love the bar, atty of different stone and brick combinations in the elevations floor plans. Unfortunately; I discovered lots of defects some have been properly repaired in a few. I’m still waiting on. When I did my exterior walk on the home, I don’t recall seeing the hairline cracks on both sides of the home. When I moved in, I noticed the cracks had been filled in with some type of silicone. I will give home some more time to settle ...
Bloomfield Homes responded:
Hi, Cassie - I want to first of all congratulate you on your new home purchase. Welcome to the Bloomfield Homes family. I also want to let you know that I have shared your concerns with the Project Manager. The silicone that you see in the brick is the expansion joint and is actually designed to prevent cracks. We would be happy to have the Project Manager explain further. Please fill out the Warranty Form on our website using this link and selecting the Blue Button "Submit a Warranty Request." What was advertised as move in ready has been anything but! There were damages throughout the home we found on move in day and it has taken numerous attempts to make things right. Our customer service rep has been great but the quality of work is lacking and created unnecessary stress and inconveniences.

We apologize for the issues you encountered and appreciate your patience; we're committed to addressing these concerns promptly. We encourage you to submit a warranty request available on our website page. Hopefully all issues are fixed promptly.

The houses are beautiful. The builders are marvelous. However, the loan officers, and the closing process was torturous. There were too many unnecessary huddles we had to jump over. It was very frustrating. Honestly, I won't recommend your mortgage lender to anybody.

Our biggest issues is getting things fixed in a timely manner. Seems like the building crews are just in a hurry to build these houses and do not take the time to do it right on certain things. From the first walk through to the last we kept pointing out stuff to be fixed and it never happened until we were just about fully moved in. Haven't heard back from the warranty company either on certain things. Our shower in the master bath has moved causing the shower door to not fully close. Mike the site manager did great and worked hard to get stuff fixed for us.
Bloomfield Homes responded:
Matthew, we appreciate your feedback and thank you for your patience. If you haven't already, please submit any items needing to be addressed to our warranty page on our website and your service manager should get back to you.

We have a beautiful home, and the buying process was easy but, we wish we had all items fixed before we closed. It is all most impossible to get anyone out here to do anything now. Our buying experience was alright. We originally wanted to purchase a different house, toured it, and were ready to make an offer when one of the assistants said they were holding it for a couple who wanted to come look at it later. We toured another home and liked it and decided to put an offer in on it. Of course the other home fell through shortly after we signed papers for this home. Overall quality is mediocre. Finding a few blue tape items were never touched, towel holders falling out of wall, closet doors warped, areas they never touched up on with paint, paint freckles all over the ...

I am overall happy with our experience with Bloomfield Homes. We decided to select them since were willing to make a few custom changes for us, but it was unfortunate those items had to be managed by myself! Our so called project manager dropped the ball so many times I had to ask Community Manager who is really managing this construction. We selected the Carolina IV floor plan, but here are our top 10 items for future buyers to consider (especially those in master bathroom): 1) The entry rotunda lacks a closet if that’s important feature. 2) The master bathroom lacks a linen closet ...

Sales Manager Jeff at Bloomfield Homes Aubrey, TX was great at walking us through the whole process and updated us on each stage. Decided to get a private inspector in Phase 2 and well, let me just say I’m glad I did. If you are building I’d recommend to often visit home and take pictures (keep them for records). Inspection before closing Phase 3 was great and they had to fix all listed on the list. Now, the workmanship was average for the value of the home. I dislike how they do cocking, very tacky. Also, I moved in before they finished doing everything, I wish I didn’t close unless all ...

Buyer pay close attention. When they tell you to point out any issues, DO IT. The builder is not checking any quality. They just let to contractors do as they please. I was surprised at what we had to point out to be fixed. I thought obvious issues would be dealt with but no. They use the cheapest constructed cabinets I’ve ever seen. Zero quality. Zero pride in workmanship. Instead of making cabinet seems fit they just stick trim over the seam. Cabinet guides were bent and not parallel. Obvious from the beginning. I kept being told everything would be taken care of. Now 1 month into ...

This was a challenging year to build a house due to supply chain issues that created shortages in material but Bloomfield stuck to their price. Potential delays were communicated in advance and the sales rep did a solid job of maneuvering around the land mines.
