Our home was already 80% completed by the time we decided to purchase from Bloomfield Homes. We had an excellent experience with the builder from that point through closing. Everything went as planned.

Overall great experience. Bloomfield had to work through many supply issues due to the pandemic and would provide updates every two weeks on the overall progress of the house over its many stages of development. Bloomfield also committed to a price which was great with the changing market. Our house did end up getting delayed multiple times, mostly due to things outside of Bloomfield’s control. Communicating the estimated close date once we pushed past the initial estimate was not clear and became worse as we pushed a few months past the initial date. That being said, when we needed to close by a certain date (about three months past our initial date and over a year into the build), Bloomfield did the best they could to get the house finished. Bloomfield has a policy that any design/color issues have to be resolved before close, which unfortunately meant when our stairs color was wrong we had to stick with it to close. The color was wrong due to an internal Bloomfield communications issue, which happens but unfortunately it’s something we have to fix ourselves now. Great home buying experience overall. I would highly recommend Bloomfield Homes, as we have built with other companies and Bloomfield Homes blows them out of the water with unique, but simple floor plans. Well thought out according to lifestyle and visual appeal. No homes are priced well right now, but according to the market, they are a fair price. Only complaint is the lack of wall insulation throughout the home. We can hear little noises from across the home easier than expected. We love our home and are grateful for Bloomfield!

Quality home for the price. Warranty has been slow to response. Some items have been fixed.

Really pleased with our new home, the layout, lot and Stone River Estates. We feel we got good value for the price. Many nice features, but the fit and finish was sloppier than we expected from Bloomfield. This involved the counters, sinks, tile floors, cabinetry, exterior masonry, the concrete work, caulking, etc. All minor stuff and fixable but should have been caught by the builder. Would've saved them money and us from the aggravation. Bloomfield has been great about sending subs out to address the issues. Most are resolved only a month after moving in. The advertised beautiful landscaping is a huge oversell. And they cut corners in our opinion, such as toilets that are not comfort height and using the same ceiling light/fan combo in the living room as in the bedrooms. The kitchen and bedroom cabinets look nice, but the drawer pull mechanisms are not very sturdy, Still, we really like our home and have no buyer's remorse. Perhaps our situation is common for homes built during and post-COVID. Hard to find employees, harder to find good employees and difficult to keep employees. Overall they are pretty good. During the build,, they did take care of my concerns, The time frame took longer than specified. So be patient because you may see it may just be sitting there and they will say it is material, but when you look the material is there. Also, just make sure that you see what you asked for in the contract. I know I asked for certain things and they were not put in the contract. Got it, I did not pay for them because they weren't on there but I would have had no problem paying. Like I said, even after asking double and triple check your paperwork. I know you should of read it and I did and must of missed it. However, I and the builder knew that I had ask for what I wanted. Overall we had a great experience with the Bloomfield team. Being out of state during this process made certain things difficult, but their flexibility and patience really made us feel like we made the right decision. We love our new home and community. If I had to critique one thing it would be the after closing support on fixing issues. Things are getting done but less sense of urgency compared to the building process. Still very happy overall.

My experience was a little different due to the Covid 19 pandemic and all the delays. Mostly times beyond anyones control. Although, once the building process got started it remained at a steady pace until the end

Great experience and absolutely love our home.

The sales experience was good and the Sales Manager made it good. However, the Construction Manager changed up and I was not informed and I had been calling with no returned calls. The new manager seemed to not care. Some things were resolved and others were not. Several times my calls were not returned. Some things seemed important and were not handled. I had to handle these issues myself, and I shouldn't have had to. Because I had real estate experience, I was able to handle many issues. I would advise the first-time home buyer to stay on the builder if you have issues because that is their job. ... More

Beautiful designs.....I just wish the house was more ready before they schedule closing cost. There are two many to call them back for repair, retouch, fix - have to schedule days off or time off to get them done.

After moving in they said to give them a call if something we see is wrong with home. He would have it fixed no problem.When my wife did call they told us just to put it on the list at the end of a year they will fix the issues under warranty. So I guess we cant have front window fixed or oven shield fixed front door hole fixed etc.

We thoroughly enjoyed our interaction with the builder, Brad B. He was very helpful and always made sure we got what we wanted out of the house, making sure things were up to par. Our experience would not have been the same without him being so good. He needs a raise! As far as the rest of our experience, it was decent. Our experience at the time of home building seemed great, that we were getting all that we wanted and weren't being gipped on anything. After closing and being in the home for a while and talking to neighbors / just being in the home and understanding more of the process of building a home from scratch, we found that we could have done things differently and asked more questions. Wish we had asked for a FULL list of possible upgrades. As well as ask if the salesperson did any extra deals (after finding out that one neighbor got a typical deal from them, but us and others did not). So it was frustrating after realizing our house could have been a little better / cheaper after the fact, but nothing to make us want to sell the place. Just wish we were more aware of our homes possibilities. When building a new home --- ASK QUESTIONS. Google what you should ask and make sure to get all the perks you can. See what the salesperson can offer you as their own personal offer. And know what ALL of the upgrades are you can add in the home. Don't just let the salesperson tell you what the main ones are. We found so many things we wished we would have added, but since we didn't know they were options, we never asked for them. AND. When doing walk throughs at the end, get on your hands and knee! Check every corner. We have found so many places that weren't painted, were knicked, or just weren't finished just right. So be sure to take time and check it all out. Love the house!! Only complaint is House was dirty when we moved in.

Very satisfied with the whole process of building a new home with Bloomfield. This is my second home I've built and I was already familiar with the building process but Bloomfield made it easier by being there every step of the way by addressing any concerns we may have had and correcting any issues that came up during the process... Total success
