The overall experience was great. Follow up on issues found after the walkthrough and inspection was not the best. Compared to the other builders in the area, this would be my first choice.

What was advertised as move in ready has been anything but! There were damages throughout the home we found on move in day and it has taken numerous attempts to make things right. Our customer service rep has been great but the quality of work is lacking and created unnecessary stress and inconveniences.
Bloomfield Homes responded:
We apologize for the issues you encountered and appreciate your patience; we're committed to addressing these concerns promptly. We encourage you to submit a warranty request available on our website page. Hopefully all issues are fixed promptly.

We have a beautiful home, and the buying process was easy but, we wish we had all items fixed before we closed. It is all most impossible to get anyone out here to do anything now. It has been almost two months and we still have a drainage problem and we never got cable installed? Other than that we like our community.
Bloomfield Homes responded:
We appreciate your feedback, William, and apologize for any communication issues after closing. Please fill out the warranty form on our website if you haven't already and our team will do their best to provide a timely and quality warranty service should you have any outstanding items. We love to hear you think your home is beautiful and wish you all the best in your new Bloomfield home and community! ...

Atleast you have to use tankless water heater. Doors and paints are less quality materials.

Sales Manager Jeff at Bloomfield Homes Aubrey, TX was great at walking us through the whole process and updated us on each stage. Decided to get a private inspector in Phase 2 and well, let me just say I’m glad I did. If you are building I’d recommend to often visit home and take pictures (keep them for records). Inspection before closing Phase 3 was great and they had to fix all listed on the list. Now, the workmanship was average for the value of the home. I dislike how they do cocking, very tacky. Also, I moved in before they finished doing everything, I wish I didn’t close unless all ...

My wife and I purchased a Bloomfield home in Melissa, TX. The experience from the sales office to the design appointment was wonderful. Once we broke ground and began construction is when we started seeing things. Specifically, during construction, there was one area that was not framed correctly according to the blueprints. We mentioned this as soon as we noticed it in October of 2020 to our project manager Sam. He said this will get corrected at a later time. Weeks go by, and no resolution. Finally, they do a little work around, but it still looks terrible. We closed on the house in March ...

Bloomfield Homes - Inferior cabinets poor design with age may have major problems.

Inferior cabinets poor design with age may have major problems. Inferior dishwasher. House built on sloop which makes it difficult to use side yard access. There are two gates one on each side of house, but the air conditioning unit one one side of house prevents access to yard. Some electrical outlets placed wrong in bedrooms. Master bed room tub too small for a tall person. don't understand why they install base boards and door casings before floors. Then they put a lot of caulk under base boards. That look dosent look professional and unfinished. Why not put the floors down first ...

Bloomfield Homes - There were a few hiccups throughout the home buying and build
- Anonymous
- Verified HomeBuyer

There were a few hiccups throughout the home buying and build of our home. They were taken care of eventually, but after moving in we discovered the rushed low quality workmanship that went into repairs and all around build of our home. Window height is not consistent and not sealed fully. Overspray of paint and stain in front and back porch. It is evident that a “good enough, hurry and get it done” mentality was used in building our home.

Before my house were build I have high expectations from Bloomfield, but when pandemic hit oh-boy it changes everything!!! Since it’s my first time to build a house, every weeks I decided to went up to my house and check how is the progress were handle. 1) House frame: (Attic)they’re using wood that it should be in a trash! There is no way these kind of wood can nailed into house frames in attic and pass the inspection!!!lol 2) Sheetrock cutting were unprofessional special at the corner! The gap was opened and never filled up. 3) Started from down stair go up to Attic. Plywoods only ...

Consider your experiences throughout the process, including the initial purchase, design and options selection, during the build, at final inspection, and during your final move-in: Spec home not much room for customizations How would you describe the quality and value of your new home? When we signed our purchase agreement we thought the home would be amazing but when we did our final inspection/walkthrough there were many cosmetic issues that I wouldn’t think would happen from a “quality” builder like Bloomfield. Which is usually indicative of poor subtractors. Since move in we’ve had ...

We were not able to get upgrades we requested. Slab was poured early for plumbing requests. We did not have walk-thru prior to sheetrock installation and some outlets were no in our preferred locations. At times some frustration having appointments delayed or rescheduled. If not for a sound deal and some resolutions made, this rating would be less.

Great build, poor planning with utility services
- James Z.

Overall, Bloomfield builds a great home. The only issues we had were a result of poor communication with the developer and utility services such as AT&T internet. Once we moved in we didn't have internet for a month. In addition, the pre wiring completed by the builder for internet is outdated. AT&T has had fiber direct for quite sometime now and the wires that are hanging (eye sore, hide them in a box) out of the closet are of no use. Finally, we have had to go to the post office to collect our mail as the developer failed to communicate with the post office and have keys ordered for ...
