Looks great, built poorly.

We bought a home from Bloomfield in April of 2023. The house looks nice but immediately after moving in it became clear that the quality of materials used and the quality of the labor hired to build it were subpar, especially at this price point. Within 6 weeks we’ve noticed cracked sinks, peeling paint, defective tiles, damage to our front door that was identified during the pre-closing inspection and still not addressed. Everything is made of particle board rather than actual wood and some trim in the kitchen is already peeling. The sales manager, Chris, is a pleasant guy and I ...

Houses poorly made. Material is cheap. Still waiting for my screens to be put on. Garage (concert) unfinished. Shower floor is chipping. Kitchen Cabinets drawers (two) fell off the roller making it hard to open & close. I was told the floors were real hardwood I dnt think they are. The toilet (I have 3) were the cheapest toilets BF could. I already replaced 1, i will be replacing the other 2. Made a report got no response.

Warranty is not very good.,Have problem with the roof but they tell us as long it's not leaking it doesn't matter what it looks, like have ridges from ply wood not seated or warped bad craftsmanship.Seems Bloomfield does not care how their homes look like.

Bloomfield Homes Maplewood 2 is a subdivision where they feel we should receive less than the others home like Tree-farms, Daniel Farm. We should receive all the same type of attention and what we ask for at the time of picking out our design. Every home should not all look alike! When someone build a home other shouldn’t be allowed to go into their home while being built! Project management shouldn’t sign off anything unless.. they have actually checked it! More attention need to be made and making sure the buyer are happy and satisfied. The contract workers doesn’t care where they leave ...

If you are have a home built from the ground up, check as often as possible to ensure things are done correctly. If you are not sure what right, have someone who know to help out. Even with COVID-19 some things could have been handled better. Overall the home is beautiful,

Brand new home, but after 3 months here is the truth. December-February 1. Three rooms in the house do NOT heat well at all. They are freezing, causing my electric bill to go up. I told them about it during the walk through the response I got was...”well that’s a north facing room “ 2. Laminate flooring is bowing and fells like a trampoline in some spots. Their response was “it’s supposed to move as the house moves” 3. Carpet is already worn down. Also every room has a st least 1 or more places with a seam, and you can see them and feel them when you walk on it 4. The louver vents can be ...

Displeased the sales/build process but I love my home

I love my home now, but I did not enjoy the home buying process with the Bloomfield sales representative who I found difficult to work with as he often did not like to answer questions and was rude when he did not know the answer. I also received inaccurate information on many occasions. Also, the original project manager assigned to me was terrible and never provided me with updates. I had to ask for updates along the way and missed a lot of the home building progress because if this. I eventually was paired with an excellent project manager but this was only about a month before the home ...

The home is gorgeous.. worth all the unpleasantness we dealt with for a year.. we started out with an amazing property manager who was very open and honest and communicated great. I also appreciated the project manager for his honesty along the way.. I understand covid was also in play so we were as understanding as possible.. they let go of our property manager and brought in someone we don’t trust at all. We waited from March of 2021 and moved in March of 2022… spent a lot of money living month to month on apartments cause we were given a closing date 4 different times. The title company ...

Over all I do like my new house, but the ask of this survey is to rate my experience. First off the build was a month late. I know this build was in the middle of a pandemic, but the reality is it caused me to live out of my RV for a month. It also forced me to keep my household items in storage an extra month. Second blinds were written into my contract but did not get installed till after I moved in. I had to take time off from work trot them to finish something that should have been done before I moved in. Third is my front door was wrapped and was leaving a half inch gap between the ...

Well, first of all the house was not professionally cleaned. I know I was out of state, but the Home Builder should have caught a lot of these problems. I've had to have warranty work fixed and I have an issue with having so many floor tiles to be replaced. Also, my two bathrooms need to be re-grouted and for being a new home they should've been grouted correctly the first time. I also have a window in my master bathroom that the windowsill is not finished so the workmanship is not there for me.

From start to finish, the lack of communication and poor customer service were glaring issues that made the entire process frustrating and stressful. First and foremost, the communication from Bloomfield Homes was abysmal. There were countless instances where I had to follow up multiple times to get any updates on the progress of my home. Simple questions often went unanswered for days or even weeks, leaving me in the dark about important decisions and timelines. Furthermore, when I did manage to get in touch with someone, the customer service was consistently subpar. Responses were often ...

Seller was great. I had lots of issues with the builder about not addressing issues I brought up during construction and prior to closing that were supposed to have been resolved. Whenever I reach out for an issue I got the feeling that he was irritated with my requests despite me having no irritation in paying the money for the house. This was a transaction - I pay and you deliver the goods as promised. Bloomfield did not keep their part as I am still dealing with repairs which is very inconveniencing as I have to adjust my work schedule. I have been very disappointed with this process ...

Please know that a Bloomfield Home is a tract home. They speak of the quality in their homes, but they do not deliver. Bloomfield Homes has no quality control. Experienced a bunch of issues with the timeline changing sometimes on a weekly basis. Additionally when it came to integrity of the build there was back and fourth about how the walls should be finished. For Example - the walls downstairs looked like there were waves in them going in and out. When brought to the builder it was attempted to be justified and then went to why we shouldn't fix it. This was very disappointing because if there is an issue the answer should be simple. (Sorry we missed this we will fix this right away,) There seemed to be more excuses with this team than ...

This is my 3rd and most expensive new build. Unfortunately, this has been my worst homebuying experience. First, my keys were given to me in a ziplock bag. Contractors did not clean home...in fact, carpets were stained from red dirt. My advice to other customers is to please make sure ALL repairs are completed prior to closing. This company only allows one (initial) walk through...they do not record recommended fixes. Approximately 80% of recommended repairs were NOT completed prior to closing. In less than 30 days, I have had 15+ contractors in and out of my home to fix different issues ...

We went with Bloomfield expecting a great buying experience, yet it became a nightmare for us and our realtor. Communication is horrible and the least important piece of the buying experience to them. There is no clarity between builder and buyer which raise many red flags. The actual purchasing process went very smoothly, just the occasional hiccup as one would expect in any process. The workmanship and materials, however, are terrible. Cabinet trim separations, rusted fireplace screen, exterior trim that wasn't painted, paint slopped onto the window frames, concrete that crumbles by hand and has mesh/cables coming out of it, no touch-up kit for paint, paint and texture cracked and flaking off of the walls in EVERY room, popouts in the driveway concrete, dried mortar all over the bricks, damaged volute (wooden first step) improperly installed, AC registers that ...
