Really disappointed

There were a lot of promises about quality and service and the more I live on my house the more I realized they cut corners or that things were done at the promised expectations. Awful service by the “partners” or prepaid services our builder choose. Really bad communication or notice. The only good service we received was by the construction manager that was extremely polite and detailed when we did the walk thru for the property. When we actually took over the property it was really dirty, nothing got repainted not fixed, mud stains in the floor, paint sprayed on the side of the brick wall, ...

Bloomfield Homes - We had a poor experience with this builder.

We had a poor experience with this builder. We had many concerns with the way the work crews were treating our property including drinking alcohol on the work premise. Our concerns were never truly addressed and we were given answers stating that our GC barely had enough time to view our house 1 time a week if that due to the number of houses he had to oversee. We were also told that our site was not as bad as the other houses down the road. I feel like Bloomfield didn't properly oversee the construction of our home and with that we still have issues that we are trying to have resolved ...

Justin, thank you for letting us know about your experience. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and would like to follow up on any unresolved issues. Inconsistent texture on the walls. Faucet leaked. Cabinet cracks. Gaps around outlets. Light fixture not connected to a switch. Attic door misaligned. Lots of area over sprayed. Very unfortunate with current COVID situation, otherwise we would be requesting warranty work to be done immediately.

Bloomfield Homes responded:
I hope that you have had an opportunity to contact our Warranty department to get your concerns addressed. Even though the Covid situation has made things a bit more difficult in some ways, we want you to have a good experience and love your Bloomfield Home. Not at all what we thought it would be for our first time buying a home. Landscaping is horrible tons of rocks under the sod. Water doesn’t drain on one side of the house. Still waiting to get some things repaired. The builder knows that the contractors do SLOPPY work and they drink on the job which is bad all together beer bottles be everywhere. Still waiting to hear back from the warranty department.. Love the home but poor quality no insulation in the walls at all you can hear every move somebody makes and when the toilet is flushed upstairs. POOR quality and nobody cares cause it’s not ...

We have had multiple problems and we have been brushed off for the most part. We also have not.closed on our home and have been given the run around the whole time. The close date is already 3 months behind and Nick is the rudest contractor! We have not ever built a home from scratch and after this experience, we won’t again! Please help us get into our home, so that this is over! Also, get every last one of your people some training on communication and customer service. We hav had graffiti and vandalism in our home and we are treated like we are the criminals! Is customer service dead? I ...

Bloomfield Homes responded:
Thank you for posting your review. We appreciate having an opportunity to address your concerns and experience. When you purchased, the Lone Star Heights community was still under development. Due to the delay with completing the turn lane into the community, our completion date on your home was pushed from what was projected at the time of contract. The graffiti was unfortunate and we apologize that it happened. Nick found out about the graffiti Sunday night and had it removed by Monday afternoon. Later today, I will reach out to you to discuss any other concerns that need to be addressed. In addition, I will discuss the need for better communication with Kathy and ...

Still waiting for issues discovered during the walk through to be resolved. Moved in over 2 months ago. Concrete driveway has/had multiple cracks and chunks of concrete missing before we moved in. Paint was all over the very expensive hardwood floor and it took two months of haggling to get them repaired. Looked like my husband painted the house rather than professional painters. Shower tile grout did not get sealed, glass in master shower had to be replaced due to large scratches. Master shower door does not shut properly so after every shower there is water on the floor. Air conditioner ...

The community manager at Star Ranch is NOT good at her job, and will lie about ANYTHING to get a sale.

  • Curtis H.

Do not trust ANYTHING that the community manager at Star Ranch tells you. Get EVERYTHING in writing -- and I mean EVERYTHING, down to the very last, most minute detail. If not, you will be very upset when things don't go how you were told they would, and the community manager denies saying any of it. The homes are beautiful, when finished, but the mess that is made during construction is absurd. I can't even begin to tell you how much garbage, half-eaten food, beer cans and bottles, and whatnot we found throughout our house during the build process. When confronted about it, the ...

The builder's workers provided sub-par and damaged material, examples are the soaking tub has repaired holes in the side of the tub, the countertops are scratched and patched in multiple places, a leak in a vent was pointed out multiple times and not fixed. The toilet seats were damaged by the workers' use. Zero storage in the entire house, even the small attic space was consumed by the air conditioners being placed in an L shape around the ladder to the attic preventing access to any portion of the attic. Gaps under and around all external doors, back door was damaged to make it fit. ...

Higher private professional to manage your home build.

I have unfortunately learned a hard lesson having a home built by Bloomfield. There has been many mistakes made resulting in a poor quality home. From drywall coming down in garage from a roof leak, to upgrades that were mismanaged & completed wrong. This build should be used by Bloomfield management as a case study to better understand the state of the company. I challenge Bloomfield to convince me to do business with them again. The Warranty department has reached out & started the process of fixing the quality issues. If warranty can pull this off, I will be sending out emails to upper ...

Build materials used are cheap. I have green dealing with my master bath bring tiled wrong for there months now. They came yesterday to do the repairs and not only did they not know what they were coming to do but they didn't have the supplies to do the job either. They also arrived 8 plus hours late even though it was planned a week in advance. I am really upset about this. Added to it my home took nearly 8 months to complete when I was given a 4.5 month time of completion. I am wondering selling this home and going with another builder. To be perfectly honest I will never recommend a ...

We are very sad to hear that you didn't have the best experience with Bloomfield. We have contacted the manager in Plantation and he has mentioned speaking with you regarding your concerns. He plans on reaching out to you again regarding your home. We are very sorry that you felt mislead about the completion date. Most new build homes take at least 8 months, and that is just an estimate because weather and other forces can affect the process. We are very sorry you were not completely informed about this and we will strive to do better in the future to make sure all of our buyers are familiar with the construction ...

Field Mice Invasion

Hunters Ridge community has a serious field mice infestation that needs to be addressed by Bloomfield. They seem to think providing a few rat traps is the answer. I would not recommend doing business with this home builder based on my experience dealing with the sales manager Jack and his assistant who did not want to give me keys to our new home after closing in front of my realtor.

Both the sales consultant and builder failed to communicate pertinent information during the construction of the home. Many assumptions were made regarding design, construction, and even internet capability, but at no point was I notified of any changes that would impact me. If there was a foreseeable or discoverable issue it was Bloomfield’s responsibility to convey this information so that I, the consumer, could make an informed decision.

I am having a hard time in seeing the quality of Bloomfield homes. While installing landscape lighting in the flower bed, I found trash below the mulch. It was full of brick and stone debris from the construction of the house, as well as water bottles and food wrappers. Whatever dirt was on the trim on the inside and outside of the house was never cleaned, it was just painted over. The trim around the front door was also gouged from where they brought things into the house and was just painted over. The caulking on the patio looks like a child did it, there is more caulk on both ...

The sales lady, Kathy was the most difficult person to work with. The communication was horrible. We have a two story home and the floor upstairs sounds so hollow. We can hear every single sound downstairs that anyone is making upstairs. We paid for upgraded cabinets only for them to use flimsy, cheap guides on the drawers. We were told the builder is aware of the defective guides but chooses to keep using them. We’ve found countless sloppy work on various things in the home.
