Bloomfield is the worst!!

Bloomfield has the worst workmanship I’ve ever had! I’ve bought homes from KB homes, Richmond Homes, And Seeno homes, by far Bloomfield is the worst! You can see all the drywall tape, patching on walls door trim damages and baseboards damages! This is a new home and I am the first owner, but this home looks like someone lived here before damaged a bunch of stuff and they hired Mexicans from Home Depot’s parking lot to fix it!

Slow, rushed, and no communication

Our house took 13 months to complete, was only supposed to take 6. Communication from the sales and builder side is awful. We didn't have a closing date until 2 days before we actually closed. End product of home was great, and they stand by their warranty but they need new sales staff and much better communication.

Bloomfield Homes responded:
We appreciate your feedback, Mark, and apologize for the communication and delays. We are always looking for ways to improve the home building experience for our buyers. We are glad to hear you're pleased with the end product, and that warranty issues are being handled. However, if you'd like to speak to someone in our corporate office, please contact Paul Conedera at (214) 493-8152. Thanks and we wish you the best in your new Bloomfield home! ...

Decent house with an absentee sales team

I bought the house because I knew I liked it from looking at photos online and reviewing the price. When I arrived at the community, the people working the sales office tossed us keys to a few houses and told me to take a look. A couple of those houses were 75-100k outside of my stated price range so they either weren't listening to me or they didn't care. I also had trouble getting basic answers to questions from them during the closing process. They were nice enough people, but I don't understand what they actually do there or why they are being paid.

Bloomfield Homes responded:
We apologize that you felt that way and can assure we care about our homeowners. If you wish to speak with someone from our corporate office about these items, please contact Director of Sales, Paul Conedera, at (214) 493-8152. We hope you are enjoying your new home now, and your new community. ...

I do not wish the sales rep Fran on anyone. She looses all paperwork never remembers any. Basically had to send her screen shots to get my paperwork correct. As for Material home is great but the fence is horrible the first day in we had to start putting out money for it. We are 30 days in and over $600 that the builder would not fix. Its very bad. I have contacted warrity but no response.

Bloomfield Homes responded:
Hi Breeanna, we apologize for any issues throughout your home building experience. We appreciate your feedback and hope to provide a quality warranty experience. I recommend resubmitting or following up with your service manager for any outstanding warranty issues. Too many issues for a new build

We bought a home that had been finished for approximately 8 months. The list of major things that were wrong with the house upon the walkthrough were way too numerous given the length of time there was available to fix things. Leaking sprinklers, windows are not evenly set, gaps in the floor, holes in the floor, air vents hanging from the ceiling and the list goes on. Bloomfield was slow to fix the issues until a lengthy email was sent about all of the issues and referring to the house in a negative manner. We will never buy another Bloomfield home.

Started with one good sales agent, the agent then left and was replaced by a terrible one. Never would I imagine you would have to pull teeth to buy a house in a market where inventory is sitting vacant. The agent made the whole process annoying and terrible and still never met the agent given the agent was on vacation, again, the day I picked up my keys. Still have my name wrong and get contacts from people looking for someone that doesn't live here, thanks for that fun conversation with every one of the waranty people. I can only hope the commission went to the people that actually did the ...

Construction manager was let go during the build process and we were never told. We had to continually ask for a status. Once we closed we didn’t receive a welcome package. We had to ask how does warranty service does work. We were never told Ranger offered free automation. Every time we asked questions we were made to feel like we were a burden on them. Once we moved in we were unaware there was a small gas leak in the fireplace. All the network jacks we had requested were installed with phone jacks. When we brought it up to warranty service guy he rejected it because he said it would cost ...

My wife and I were very excited about the house but as we came by every week to check the construction progress, we started to get worried. Many issues the project manager was missing and we felt that if it wasn't because we were making them aware, they wouldn't even noticed. Don't trust the process! Check yourself weekly to make sure everything is to your plans. Cabinets are a joke specially if you order them white. Before closing there were a lot of promises kept to repair issues that were found, after closing I was advised to create a list of repair items. It has now been also 90 days after closing and I still have yet to have all lf the repairs issue acknowledged and or fixed. The project manager tends to deny every issue that I find and tried to state that any issue found would.not be fixed until the 1 year inspection after I read the warranty document that states that I should be getting issues fixed as soon as possible. My sod is dead and I advised the project manager as such and have been getting ...

There were a lot of promises about quality and service and the more I live on my house the more I realized they cut corners or that things were done at the promised expectations. Awful service by the “partners” or prepaid services our builder choose. Really bad communication or notice. The only good service we received was by the construction manager that was extremely polite and detailed when we did the walk thru for the property. When we actually took over the property it was really dirty, nothing got repainted not fixed, mud stains in the floor, paint sprayed on the side of the brick wall, ...

Bloomfield Homes - We had a poor experience with this builder.

We had a poor experience with this builder. We had many concerns with the way the work crews were treating our property including drinking alcohol on the work premise. Our concerns were never truly addressed and we were given answers stating that our GC barely had enough time to view our house 1 time a week if that due to the number of houses he had to oversee. We were also told that our site was not as bad as the other houses down the road. I feel like Bloomfield didn't properly oversee the construction of our home and with that we still have issues that we are trying to have resolved ...

Field Mice Invasion

Hunters Ridge community has a serious field mice infestation that needs to be addressed by Bloomfield. They seem to think providing a few rat traps is the answer. I would not recommend doing business with this home builder based on my experience dealing with the sales manager Jack and his assistant who did not want to give me keys to our new home after closing in front of my realtor.

Both the sales consultant and builder failed to communicate pertinent information during the construction of the home. Many assumptions were made regarding design, construction, and even internet capability, but at no point was I notified of any changes that would impact me. If there was a foreseeable or discoverable issue it was Bloomfield’s responsibility to convey this information so that I, the consumer, could make an informed decision.

I am having a hard time in seeing the quality of Bloomfield homes. While installing landscape lighting in the flower bed, I found trash below the mulch. It was full of brick and stone debris from the construction of the house, as well as water bottles and food wrappers. Whatever dirt was on the trim on the inside and outside of the house was never cleaned, it was just painted over. The trim around the front door was also gouged from where they brought things into the house and was just painted over. The caulking on the patio looks like a child did it, there is more caulk on both ...

The builder's workers provided sub-par and damaged material, examples are the soaking tub has repaired holes in the side of the tub, the countertops are scratched and patched in multiple places, a leak in a vent was pointed out multiple times and not fixed. The toilet seats were damaged by the workers' use. Zero storage in the entire house, even the small attic space was consumed by the air conditioners being placed in an L shape around the ladder to the attic preventing access to any portion of the attic. Gaps under and around all external doors, back door was damaged to make it fit. ...

I have unfortunately learned a hard lesson having a home built by Bloomfield. There has been many mistakes made resulting in a poor quality home. From drywall coming down in garage from a roof leak, to upgrades that were mismanaged & completed wrong. This build should be used by Bloomfield management as a case study to better understand the state of the company. I challenge Bloomfield to convince me to do business with them again. Do not trust ANYTHING that the community manager at Star Ranch tells you. Get EVERYTHING in writing -- and I mean EVERYTHING, down to the very last, most minute detail. If not, you will be very upset when things don't go how you were told they would, and the community manager denies saying any of it.
