I recently purchased a home from Bloomfield Homes at Hulen Trail, and overall, I found that the houses are generally in line with what you pay for. The prices are reasonable, and the community manager was a standout in terms of being great and very responsive. I always felt like I could count on her for assistance. During the closing process, we encountered some issues with the quality of the home. However, the community manager was extremely helpful in organizing and addressing all of these problems. Her support made the process much smoother and alleviated some of the stress. That being said, I must mention that the overall quality of workmanship falls short of European standards, or even what one might consider average. While the houses have a nice interior and spaciousness, it's important to be aware of several flaws that I came across. For starters, there were strange spots on the ceiling, and one of the windows was still crooked, indicating poor assembly quality. The exterior finishing also had multiple gaps and peeling materials, which was disappointing. Additionally, the tiles were left dirty with paint stains that I've struggled to remove. Even the patio tiles were improperly installed and prone to breaking. The silicone sealing around the garage gate was unfinished, and the fence was noticeably crooked, indicating a lack of attention during construction. Furthermore, I would like to add that the kitchen cabinet painting was also neglected. The fronts of the cabinets had two different tones of gray, and it was evident that some of them were not painted well. This inconsistency in color and the poor paint job was disappointing, considering the importance of the kitchen as a focal point in a home. It's crucial for Bloomfield Homes to pay closer attention to the details, especially when it comes to aspects as prominent as the kitchen cabinets. Ensuring a consistent and high-quality paint finish would greatly enhance the overall appeal and value of the homes they build. It's worth mentioning that you can report these issues to their warranty, and it's understandable that they work with multiple contractors. However, it's crucial for the quality standards to improve, as these flaws are noticeable and can be frustrating for homeowners. Despite these shortcomings, I want to emphasize that Bloomfield Homes at Hulen Trail is still better than other builders in the neighborhood. Just make sure you look at everything closely at your home before putting your earnest money down. We like our home we don’t love it and that’s a big difference. Not our first home that we purchased and we loved our other home. And for the price of these homes could certainly offer much more but it seems there is a lot of cost cutting!

Our initial interactions with Bloomfield was very positive. Michelle showed me a home and I wanted to come back with my wife. Surprisingly, Michelle actually followed up with me for a time for us to continue our search. We initiated a contract but had a few speed bumps during the application process but Bloomfield worked with us every step of the way. If you're looking to purchase, you have lots of choices. I love my home, it's beautiful but when the A/C doesn't work properly or during a storm rain coming into the windows, Kitchen draws getting stuck and cosmetics issues you have asked to be corrected have not it is disheartening.

Since moving to Texas, Bloomfield was immediately one of my favorite builders. I watch them build several communities and was impressed by all. When the timing was right for me to purchase it was smooth and easy even when I changed my mind on the house and the closing date. They worked with me and kept me informed through the process. I love my home.

My wife and I was in the market for a new home, and cane across Bloomfield Homes. The sales person was very helpful.

Construction manager was let go during the build process and we were never told. We had to continually ask for a status. Once we closed we didn’t receive a welcome package. We had to ask how does warranty service does work. We were never told Ranger offered free automation. Every time we asked questions we were made to feel like we were a burden on them. Once we moved in we were unaware there was a small gas leak in the fireplace. All the network jacks we had requested were installed with phone jacks. When we brought it up to warranty service guy he rejected it because he said it would cost Bloomfield money. I had to contact VP of Bloomfield just to get a resolution. Both the sales consultant and builder failed to communicate pertinent information during the construction of the home. Many assumptions were made regarding design, construction, and even internet capability, but at no point was I notified of any changes that would impact me. If there was a foreseeable or discoverable issue it was Bloomfield’s responsibility to convey this information so that I, the consumer, could make an informed decision.

Smooth and easy best describe our home buying experience. From start to closure, we were taken care of and responded to in a timely manner. Promises were kept and communication was always pleasant and swift.

Every step from the initial sales contact on through to the final walk through and closing was very smooth. We we found the staff and company to be very trustworthy. I would recommend Bloomfield Homes unconditionally.

I am having a hard time in seeing the quality of Bloomfield homes. While installing landscape lighting in the flower bed, I found trash below the mulch. It was full of brick and stone debris from the construction of the house, as well as water bottles and food wrappers. Whatever dirt was on the trim on the inside and outside of the house was never cleaned, it was just painted over. The trim around the front door was also gouged from where they brought things into the house and was just painted over. The caulking on the patio looks like a child did it, there is more caulk on both sides of the joint then there is in the joint. Overall I am very disappointed. ... More

My closing date was charged several times. Finally moved in with a lot of issues needing to be resolved. House plan is beautiful but craftsmanship is poor; paint stains all over, crooked wall lines, chipped concrete floors, etc.

Have had several issues since moved into home. Bath tube crack has not been resolved in master suite, Sheetrock under sink in bathroom has not been resolve, cabinets drawers in the island do not close properly, beeping of smoke detector for several days has not been resolve even after we changed the batteries several times. Slow responses of issue we have had in the past some have taken weeks to resolve and others no resolution. The issues we have had in the home that were resolve have taken time to correct.

My wife and I was very excited doing the building process of our new home. However, once we moved in our new home we noticed “Several” things were missed and over looked by the contractors. The quality, workmanship and materials used for our new home is very questionable. We are working with the building manager to rectify the quality and workmanship of our new home.

It is a pleasure to share my experience about Bloomfield Homes. I grew up in Indiana where I spent my entire life, until I moved to Texas for a job opportunity. I come from a large family and was the first to graduate from college and move from our hometown. My family could not believe I moved. After 3 years of living here in Texas, I decided to make it my home. I immediately started looking at areas I would like to either purchase or build a home. Finally. I had the opportunity to cross paths with Bloomfield Homes. Since April of 2022, I met a few incredible people that welcomed me, right in the beginning. Robin and the team were awesome! She made me feel right at home and if there was anything I wasn't sure about, she made me feel comfortable asking those questions. The team kept me updated on any changes or concerns. I truly felt like part of the Bloomfield family. As she handed me over to Terry, words cannot describe how comfortable he made me feel during the final stages of building my home. He was very quick to respond to my questions and when I got a little nervous he would eliminate any worries or concerns. I wish most people understand (like Bloomfield) that building a home is a partnership. It takes a village to accomplish and build your dream home. It shouldn't fall on one person or a set of individuals. Terry also made sure my home was move-in ready by Christmas. I continue to pinch myself and dry my tears of unbelief. This is our first home and we loved that we got the opportunity to build. Overall correspondence was ok, thankful for Donna’s help. We couldn’t give a 5 star due to some of the issues with our brand new home. The paint is already chipping on our window sills, could be the quality of paint. The quality of our kitchen cabinets are very cheap. This could be because of supplies during Covid. Our house paint job is poor, as we find a lot of cosmetic issues. All the doors are not sanded down with sharp edges which can be a problem for little ones. I had requested for them to be sanded down on the walk through, and it doesn’t seem like it was done once we moved in. Our front door was jammed until we sanded it ourselves. I heard great reviews about the company. I was referred by someone in another subdivision. I visited several other locations and experienced high level of professionalism. I was expecting the same level of professionalism here but didn't receive it. I was first ignored, then greeted by "Are you buying, if not you can look around because I'm busy..." I informed the sales personnel that I was interested. I was told to get pre-approved. The first time I called the mortgage company to get pre-approved I was approved within minutes. I informed the sales person of the approval thinking the unprofessional questions would stop but they didn't. I have never been ask so many unprofessional questions while making a purchase. I was asked "Why was I buying a house this big. Who is going to live with me? Are you renting rooms? .There are other single black females purchasing..." I was determined not to let those things deter me from building my dream home. I picked a home that the contract fell thru because the sales person said it would be complete sooner. I requested to select some of the interior & change elevation or add stone. I was told I couldn't change the elevation or add even though the house had not been built, only the foundation was laid. Eventually I was told I could make minor changes for flooring, tile, paint etc. I was given a short time to make the selections & felt rushed. I even communicated this and was given excuses. Several items I requested I was told not to get it or I didn't need them.. For example, I wanted a custom closet. I was told they are too expensive. I said I wanted a 3 car garage. I was told I didn't need a 3 car garage, there are some with 2 1/2. I ask for tile in the master bedroom and was told I could get it after I move in. I finally said I was not going to compromise with that. I understood the market, supplies etc., I patiently waited. The day I closed and picked up my keys the sales person told me she was surprised I closed, she didn't think I was going to purchase and ask her coworkers the same question. I ask why did she feel that I wasn't going to purchase, it wasn't because of financing or my desire. ... More

Looking at homes was a long process, and unfortunately we weren't able to find the perfect home for us. That is until our realtor connected us with Bloomfield. We toured the model homes and spoke with the manager. We found a beautiful home that had all of the amenities we wanted. We couldn't be more thankful! After moving in, we did notice some things that needed to be repaired. It happens, and they weren't major repairs. We contacted the warranty services and received a response within 48 hours. Soon, the repairs were scheduled. I am so thankful for Bloomfield and their excellent care.
