He cared even when sales and lending were causing me and him stress. He was responsive and a friend!

Literally everything that could go wrong during this build went wrong. We are 6 weeks after closing and I still don't have sod on parts of my yard. I have stained floor tiles, lumps in the carpet upstairs, the wrong baseboards, the wrong countertops and wrong backsplash was installed. I know Covid had a part in the availability of products however I wish we did not close until all of these issues were corrected.

There were TWO people from Centex (i.e., Pulte) that were GREAT to work with. That's not to imply that everyone else was bad...it's just that these two people were exceptional, and one was over-the-top exceptional. That said, I don't feel at the end of the process that I ended up with the home that *I* wanted. What I ended up with was the home that Centex/Pulte was willing to build for me (again..."per plan"). This is the problem with "production builders" like Centex/Pulte, and going in...I knew I would have a problem "fully liking" the end result. Next time...it's custom home builder all the way!!! At least that's the way I'll get the home that *I* want - and NOT the other way around again. This doesn't mean we didn't end up with a "quality home" at the end of this process. (In a LOT of ways, the final "quality" of the home is yet to be determined - perhaps after a few hurricanes pass over.) As I said...it's just not the *final* home that I wanted...and now I'm going through additional non-trivial deconstruction/reconstruction expenses to get that home that I wanted. It pretty much sucks. And that's how I feel about the whole experience as I write this review today...and we have yet to actually live in our new Centex/Pulte home for a full month. ... More

My honest overall experience has not been the best and definitely had room for improvement from day one of my experience. I experienced poor customer service not from all but a few. Believing Centex and Pulte are linked I had a fair share of issue with Pulte as well . As far as the overall build and structure of the home , at a glance all is beautiful but once you start “living” you start to notice a lot unnecessary flaws. I understand some issues with the walls will happen due to the setting of the home but there were many drywall and paint issues, along with chips to bathroom countertop, discolored grout, issue with staircase, ac vent leak less then a week into the home, and above all no insulation in the attic . Yes some issues have been corrected in a timely matter others are still pending. I can only hope the company will hold up their reputation and correct the flaws in the construction in a timely manner. ... More

Everything was great until the last week of the home being finished, a lot of unfinished areas and not inspected properly. Will never buy Pulte/Centex again, will be selling in the next 2 yrs or so.

Very transparent process, timely execution, and great end product. Defects here and there, mostly which are covered by the warranty.

Michael our sales agent was awesome. He was very attentive. He was always available to answer any of my questions or concerns. He was very knowledgeable about the process of if paper work or anything else I had questions about. As for the warranty issues the service is very poor, the walk through was only done with Joe not David. I am very disappointed with area. Many things that I asked to have done before I moved in were not done. If anyone would to call me , I would be happy to go over the whole CD process.

Overall it was Great Experience, i was connected to builder and they informed about all the activities going on related to construction and had some meetings as well when needed...

I would say the house was not done with the best quality. There have been things that have been repaired since the move in. Sloppy work at times.

Though I acknowledge Pulte is still trying to solve open issues, the fact of the matter is that I found too many issues with Centex not only before and during closing but afterwards. Some of them related to internal communications in Centex and third parties/design center and some others related to construction, management and final execution. Field manager was suddenly changed and things improved after that but still important issues were found and still I am struggling to have them closed. Centex did not even accept to delay closing and while I accepted the proposed closing date, the house was not finished and right now I am working with the warranty team. ... More

We did not think to build a home when we started looking in 2019, thinking it was too expensive. When the realtor suggested new housing though, my family immediately gravitated toward the Centex homes. The one we chose (Canopy) suited our needs well and had enough options to make it even more ours. The build process was smooth, thorough, detailed, and we were always in communication with them. I appreciated their insight and thoroughness, including their suggestion to move to a cheaper lot than our original choice to avoid car lights shining in the bedroom window. Change orders were handled promptly and even when the assigned Field manager moved on to another job, they immediately brought in another experienced manager to minimize any disruption. The home was built on time, and the minor issues we found were quickly and satisfactorily resolved. Lastly, everyone at Centex was a pleasure to work with, from sales thru the signing. The company Centex-Pulte have not prioritizing the current owner on the sub division East Lake Preserve we poor customer service in accordance with their own contract they have felt to demonstrate trust among the customers who all ready purchase a house they only worry to continue their sell - money and revenue with house warranty attendance. The company has not live by their own standards and mission of customer service went warranty of the house come in place.

It’s a good house, but you can improve the features for the price.
