Building a hime comes with its own challenges. Sales and site managers were very informative. Quality of flooring products at base choices could be better.

Was very impressed overall with the builder and the quality of materials available. I appreciated the different upgrades to tend to different needs. I do wish for the paint upgrade that I could've changed the finish.

Great community with amazing amenities, I have found multiple issues for a new home, but all of them has been resolved by the amazing construction team.

The build manager and the build process was great. I really enjoy the house and had no issues. The problems were with the Sales team. Either they were completely clueless or they flat out lied to my face. Either option is not good. With the sales team you need to triple check everything they say and get it in writing.

Pulte team did great job...I bought homes with other builders ....but I cannot compare them with quality of service pulte provides....they deliver house on ti.e..very professional...

There were a few positives like the beautiful community and professional, friendly staff. The builder was quick to respond to our concerns. However, make sure you hire your own home inspector. Thankfully I did and he found broken roof truss (truss- part of a roof structure), roof tiles loose and other things. I found the back splash tiles popping out, and the bathroom tiles were broken or missing grout. The shower head was broken. The windows, carpet, and shower were not cleaned by the day of closing. It was full of grout dust and the team who came back to clean it did a poor job. The grounds keepers were just as bad. I had a tree that came with the house. The tree fell down twice and finally died. They didn’t dig the hole deep enough. Although all these issues have been fixed or in the process of being fixed, it should have done right the first time. I had to take the time out of my day to wait and monitor the contractors. I must say, they are trying to improve and had a very helpful staff, which made the experience more manageable. ... More

The lack of craftsmanship was evident through the whole build process. We were told by the Build Manager several times that our house plan was a difficult build because the builders had not built this plan before. I thought skilled builders could read and interpret plans. When questions were raised they were met with a condescending attitude that was even evident to our real estate agent. Some of the issues that were presented during the walk through were not completed by the closing date with contractors scrambling trying to get things done. We were told that if we wanted them fixed our closing would be delayed but that we could sign, close that afternoon, and send in the information to warranty and it would be fixed in the next 30 days - not. We sent in the info. to warranty and were notified that it would be handled at the 11th month period. We absolutely love the house but we also know what was covered up, painted over, and not up to par with a quality build. ... More

I am extremely happy with the work that was done on our home! The craftsmanship is great and the home is beautiful. The only thing that I can nitpick about is the type of shrubs that were planted and the quality of sod that was laid. Other than that everything was exactly the way we wanted it and we are enjoying our new home.

For reasons that I don't even recall, I had originally not had a great opinion of Centex as a builder. I had to be convinced by my realtor that they really were reliable. I signed my contract to build days before my state shut down due to Covid-19. I waited months for the house to be built and I was getting antsy, even considering pulling out of my agreement. Throughout the process, my two contacts at Pulte, Mary, who sold me the home, and Karen, my design consultant, continued to take all of my concerns seriously, never getting impatient, even as I expressed my hesitations about following through. There was never a pressure sale, but always an attempt at working with me to address the issues of concern. A good example of the measures that Mary and Karen took to help me occurred when I was informed, right before the start of construction of my house, that the color scheme for the siding of the house was no longer available due to problems from the supplier. At first they just asked me to choose from among other colors, none of which I liked. When they realized how important this was to me, they scoured the country looking for the siding that I wanted, until Karen finally found it and informed me. My contract allowed Centex to force me to choose another color. Mary and Karen could have simply left it at that, allowing me to pull out of my contract, knowing that they could sell my lot very quickly. But, they didn't. The next person I worked with was my field manager, Kelly. Kelly was a non-nonsense worker, who never tried to talk fast or talk down to me. I asked questions all of the time, sometimes repeating questions. He never expressed impatience with me and always responded within 24 hours, but usually within a couple of hours. Kelly's work with me continues to this day, even weeks after closing, as he has fulfilled his promise to make sure that any issues that weren't addressed before closing would be addressed. Right before I closed, I went to the house for a final walkthrough, and it had been pouring rain for days. Water was pooling against the house and the foundation on one side looked torn apart. It was shocking. I didn't know what I was seeing and called Kelly immediately. Kelly came again right away to meet us and explain that the "torn apart" look was not of the foundation, but just of the insulation. He explained that the insulation was torn up temporarily to help with issues next door. He then described all of the engineering measures that Centex had taken to protect the foundation, given the grade of the land. I have nothing but high praise for the three main contacts I had at Centex. If you find one good person working for a company, it doesn't necessarily reflect on the company, but just on that person. However, when you continue to find such friendly, professional, and competent people, that gives evidence that the company is probably doing something right, to attract and keep such people. They kept us informed of progress, and prolonged delay, in getting into our home. Unfortunately, we are on Azalea Drive and there were differences between Centex and City of Durham/Durham County with curb and gutter and sidewalks or none.

This is the third home/builder we've had over the past 30+ years and by far it is the best experience we've had. Communication with sales associate and field manager was great throughout the selection and building process. The home was completed on time and most issues or concerns we've had have been addressed quickly and completely.

Good options for the price and spaciously designed for single family needs.

We really enjoyed working with Michael our building manager and Chad our sales agent, great and knowledgeable folks. Overall high quality home with some slight material & workmanship concerns, as an example a roof leak in our first days in the house. Minimal and rather sickly looking landscaping plants and sod add to the lower rating on workmanship and materials. The sod laying was pretty bad.

I was very happy with my design consultant Karen, she was very knowledgeable and responsive to my questions and design changes. Kelly the field manager responsible for my house was awesome. He was very responsive to all of my emails and questions and followed through promptly.

Process was quick and seamless. Excellent experience!

Michael Goushaw Is an outstanding builder, thanks to him I’m enjoying my new home . His knowledge and understanding put me at ease and assured that I will get a great house for my money , Kudos to him.

The process during the build was fine. The quality of the materials and workmanship is horrendous. I am disappointed to own this quality.

The team was great fron the sales, design, support, build quality, on field and the support team. This makes the process much less stressful than Otherwise. Want to particularly state that the field project lead was understanding and prompt about communicating. This made us feel at ease. To be honest the whole team made us feel welcome and were truly professional and friendly. This is a important choice and decision and we are glad that we chose Centex.

Most of the experience was good. Since moving in, getting some warranty issues dealt with is taking a little longer then I would like.
