Big issues with build quality, builder responsiveness

Communication has been faulty from the beginning. I moved in June 2020 and was told that a 30 day walkthrough and 11 month walkthrough would happen to fix issues, but the 30 day was and will not be done per the warranty dept. Low tier Whirlpool appliances specifically came as an incentive, but were not installed properly. For 1.5 months, despite numerous requests, no one came to attach the missing ventilation tube to the clothes dryer, indicating this was not an emergency. Difficulty Transitioning into our Home

Our walk through took over two hours, almost a month later, we still have items from our walk through still being taken care of. Hopefully, this will be all finished by June 19th, we moved in on May 20th. It has taken countless emails and follow up emails and calls to get my home up to new house standard. We moved in with in accurate details on who hooked up the facilities. Were there close to two weeks before the internet was able to be installed, the subdivision was not ready for people to move in. The quality of the home is very average. Lots of issues would have just required an extra few minutes when it was being constructed/installed. Overall construction is just somewhere between poor and average. Just disappointed.

Don't trust their words.

Never trust the builder for the words. if it is a legal document then they will do it. else it is just an eyewash. never sign anything if you are unhappy especially not on their words. they always over promise and under deliver. Phrases like " We will do it by next week"-- they never happen. Very painful experience...

The beginning of the building experience with Centex was less stressful than the end. We had to rush to make design choices as it was a spec home and they had already started the building process. The sales rep, Ryan, was kind and helpful when he could be. Throughout the build process we had construction managers change about 3x and none of them were proactive in reaching out to provide updates on the home progress. Lack of responsiveness and accountability for construction issues.

After moving into our home, several issues were noted. One was the realization that the bathroom tub has permanent damage, namely, severe scratches and scuff marks that cannot be remedied by cleaning. Another issue was several scratches on the glass of the bathroom mirror. Those scratches, obviously, cannot be removed by cleaning. Centex has refused to remedy those issues. If not remedied by Centex, those problems, among others, will forever be reminders of the poor construction and lack of accountability by Centex/Pulte. This had been a experience of a life time it was good when the building process was taking place but after you close and receive those keys that’s when your problems start the warranty part is the worst experience. The quality of the house is very poor. There are a lot of issues inside the house. My field manager made me to sign the closing document and promised me that he will fix all issues in a week but it’s been 2 months. No one is addressing my issues. Paint is already coming off from walls. Even a small strain on the wall is not going when I rub on it. I paid 3000$ extra for painting. I am very much disappointed with this. If you are reading this, please move on... trust me you will thank me later. Centex/Pulte homes are very poorly made and require a lot of maintenance calls to fix things that are days to weeks old. They employ "anyone that can show up that day" - direct quote, to the home site. Purchases 6 weeks ago, after initial 18 things on the closing punch list (pretty standard) I have had sent 38 emails trying to fix the new 26 items.
