Person how helps it's great

Pulte Mortgage, sales and construction managers were excellent throughout the whole process. The Underwriters were a nightmare. The painters were below average and trim contractors. Everyone else did great work!

The buying process from start to finish was a easy smooth process. All questions were answered in a timely manner and the house was completed on time.

Home is good overall, but there are definitely points of contention that show it was put together in a hurry for a quick turn around. A number of doors have pretty substantial gaps from the trim which is quite frustrating, and any touchups during our walkthrough seemed to be rushed as well. Rather than properly sanding to touch up, it was just painted over and not very well. Many paint drips on trim throughout the house, paint on the carpet in some areas etc. Builder repaired most issues pointed out through walkthrough, but some were answered with "Yeah, I'm not sure there's much we can do about that" ... Lots of particle board used in the skeleton of the house... is that standard?

Everything is on their terms when it comes to options, deadlines, etc. The whole process is definitely in favor of the seller. I felt they rushed the closing about a week or two before the house was completely ready for move in. Overall I like my new home. There were just a few bumps along they way I would have rather done without.

Still waiting for electrician to address data port issue. Service ticket placed over a month ago. Baseboards are coming apart from the walls going up the stairs. Seal caulking on granite countertops is peeling.

Yes. Home is built in the time frame I was given, but the problems are that home is built so fast that they neglected building the house. I can feel the cold air coming from the wall and the floor, cabinets are barely reset- meaning I can see large gape between floor and the cabinets in the kitchen and all the bathrooms. Painter missed a lots of areas plus we even put blue tape on our walkthrough and still missed painting the wall and closets, there was a hole on the bottom of the entry door and garage entry door- field manager fixed it temporarily. Crack on master’s bathtub, window doesn’t close by the living room upstairs- lots of cold air coming in. Field manager is great- he try to help us with most of the stuff and I understand he is a busy man. I am not even sure that the cold air coming from outside the house can be fixed- heater is through gas so, it is causing more me to pay more for gas. I could keep on going but those are the things I have experienced. And I don’t even know if these problems will be fixed or not. ... More

The garage was unfinished and I was unhappy, now i like it

Been in the house a month and have found multiple repair issues.

If you decide to build with this company, be extremely observant during your final walkthrough and take extra time to look at everything. We have crooked corners, bumps in the drywall, bad paint job, chipped mirrors and counters, damaged drawers...they even completely drywalled over a window and didn’t fix it until we realized it after we moved in. Some things have been fixed, a lot has not. I’m quite disappointed in this builder.

Not even 1 month into my new home and multiple drywall and trim issues are occurring as the home is settling I'm a builder by trade and final inspections need tightened up.

Centex Homes only offers a 11mth punch list for any issues that arise. If you choose to build with them make sure you look very close at everything. We are having drywall issues and now have to wait 11mths to have them addressed.

The sales rep was very proactive and patience to guide us. The process was seamless just the finance Part of it was stressful as we had little or no guidance about document submission.

The purchasing agent was great, the building process was pretty good. After moving in we have had problems with the hvac system, mold, and cabinets pulling off of the walls. The response to those issues has been very mediocre and doesn’t really seem to be much of a priority. The subcontractors especially colonial heating could care less and seem more interested in passing the problem off then really trying to figure out the problem.
