Still waiting for numerous repairs that were identified prior to closing (May, 2022). I’m praying that the service improves.

We still have things that need to completed in our home.

Several blue tape items existed and only some of them were corrected before closing. Several issues/items still exist that were never corrected. Overall workmanship on building the house is not satisfactory. Overall responsiveness from construction manager and sales representative were unsatisfactory.

I have no complaints about Centex as an agent. I would only recommend that they have a design center so it is easier to pick out your options within the home. A electronic design center that buyers can do on their free time to pick and choose options for their home. I am not a fan of Pulte Homes. We were promised a lot of things before we closed that NEVER happened or were fixed. After we closed our builder (Chaz) acted like we never bought a home from them. We can’t even get a friendly wave as he is standing out side of our new home and makes eye contact. There was no follow up or communication with the builder to fix what he promised us before closing or within the first 30 days of our home like he promised. We were contacted by customer support at our 30 day mark and had to ask for them to fix what the builder promised us would be fixed before our first 30 days in the home. So far they are helping us but we are waiting for things to be actually fixed as we hit our 60 day mark in the home. As a first time homebuyer this made my experience stressful and upsetting. In the end we realized that the builder was lying to us about what he was going to do for us to get us to just close on the home. If I had to build a home I wouldn’t want to have Pulte do it because of our experience. I’m the end we do love our home but we wish that our home was built with more attention to detail. I don't care about some of the petty rules the company made. I needed them to accommodate my schedule and not for me to accommodate theirs. This meeting all the time was not going to fit my schedule when email and texting would work. Don't state the obvious. I can read. They were way behind getting my home done and the excuse was that the shortage of what ever was the cause. Other houses started way after mine were being completed. Work should have been diverted to finishing my home as promised. Home quality sucks and things I mentioned were a problem were never reviewed and fixed. I was so desperate to get into my home that I just moved and fixed myself (I am 69 yo female). I was informed that it was not like my house cost a million dollars and imperfection was to be expected on some things. This was my million dollar home!! ... More

Our field manager was great until he got sick and someone else came in. That promised everything was going to be fixed a week from closing I had a large hole in my powder room and holes under my stairs at my pre closing which shows no effort to inspect before pre closing ever took place. Fast forward to closing day. Nothing is done. I withheld the funds to close until 10 pm that night because that is when the field manager was able to complete everything that was wrong. I am not that nit picky person but they dropped the ball. I also had my driveway crack as soon as I drove over it. That was cracked for 2 weeks. I still don’t have screens on my windows and most bugs are entering in my house because it is not properly sealed. Rushed work quality. For starters, Paint and drywall left behind on floors and carpets, texture blemishes, sod placed over the top of construction debris and very uneven lumpy/bumpy ground, trees not planted in correct locations as per my requests. Property is constantly covered in construction trash from the centex build next door, siding was damaged from neighboring construction.

The attention to detail throughout the house was disappointing. The door frames, baseboards & trim, backsplash, electrical outlets, drywall around windows are not quality work and appliances were damaged when installed by builder. The trim around interior doors is separating, there are dings and painted over damaged areas in the baseboard trim throughout the house, electrical outlets are not flush with the walls in many areas, drywall and paint around window frames is damaged. Expected a lot more attention to detail.

During the initial phase, the information provided was done in a professional manner and maintained throughout the home building process. Once we actually moved in, we did not expect to have to deal with concerns brought up before we moved in. The follow up-seemed like we were bothering them to correct workmanship that was needing repair. We asked to meet at a time that worked with our work schedule and were told the only time available was Monday - Friday, 8-4pm. We altered our schedule to meet the times provided. I love the home. It's a huge upgrade from the apartment life we were living. However, the builders were told multiple times about issues that should have been fixed early. Instead walls had to be tore out the days before closing to get repaired. Multiple doors are installed crooked and won't stay open. Parts are missing from doors as well as hinges and door knobs poorly installed. Obviously there was a mad rush to slap together the rest of the home toward the end to finish in time for closing. Items still aren't done that were requested day of closing. Trim outside and inside is painted poorly and sloppily. Fence was never finished at the corner of the home. While I am happy with the house overall, the quality and care didn't exist. The employees we dealt with were lovely people however, I would never hire the painters or the cleaners for another job again. The amount of paint on our new carpet was ridiculous and the horrible cleaning job could have been done better by my 7 year old. As far as the build goes, time will tell. I believe the construction was done well other than the issues mentioned above. The sales agent, the building superintendent and the final closing superintendent were all nice and they kept us informed through the build. But there is a lot left to be desired for the final touches of the home. I am not sure I would recommend CENTEX in the future. Maybe if they slowed down toward the end and hired better painters and cleaners. ... More

The loan and approval process was super easy and as a first time home buyer this made it a better than expected experience. The inspector explained everything and was prompt when responding to emails regarding our home construction timeline. We’ve been in our home since summer of 2021 and can say we have piece of mind knowing we have a new home with new electrical, plumbing, and HVAC that are still covered under warranty. My biggest concerns are the upstairs sub floor joints are uneven with each other and can be felt on your feet through the carpet when walking upstairs. Dry wall is cracking at sheet rock joints right above our dinner table, as well as in lots of corners where the metal edging ends. There’s a big area in our living room that looks like it was patched but didn’t turn out so well. We didn’t even see it until we moved our furniture around and noticed it. Tile grout is already cracking and in the laundry room we can tell not enough mortar was applied to the outer tiles, which flex when walking on them. I can go on and on, these just bother me the most. I understand what builder grade materials are and know things will not be perfect as far as the cosmetic concerns go, but if the workmanship is not there from the beginning, I can’t trust that this home was built well and can not recommend this builder to anyone. Getting in contact with the builder was always an issue. Updates were hardly ever sent and closing kept getting delayed

We are happy with our home buying experience. We wish that there had been more time spent on the little finishing details to make sure that the home felt complete, but as a starter home, the price is decent for what you get. There is some room for customizability, but for some things, it is worth it to just do it yourself down the road so you don't pay interest on minor upgrades.

We were pleased with Pulte and the lending process. It went very smooth. Our field managers also get a 10 star. Shout out to Walker for trying his best and hardest to make things happen even during shortages. The flooring is very low quality. You can not even place a dining table down without the floors having intentions immediately. The cleaning lady did not do a good job on a “move in ready” clean. I completely understand the surrounding areas are a construction site and so was the home, however there was still solution left on the cabinets that had not been wiped up, dust on the counters, doors etc. We did a thorough cleaning ourselves. We are finding a lot of unfinished things that will have to get done with the 1 year warranty. It’s a great home for a great price, but the biggest concern is the quality in the flooring and the warranty not covering that. For the price we paid, the flooring should be better. ... More

The only positive was after I contacted the construction supervisors boss.His superior stayed on top of our construction and tried to correct the bad experience we had with the supervisor.We still have outstanding issues that need attentioon.

the paint job is really bad. that i will have to repaint the whole hose soon. also the concrete in front of the main door is not even, they been saying that i t will get fix soon but nothing yet .

The house itself is built decently. Obviously I know that there will be little things here and there and it is a process to get things sorted out over the course of a couple months while the house settles but the trades companies that this company employees to handle electricity, HVAC and tiling/drywall make me believe that they have no idea what they are doing. We have had so many issues related to trade work its not funny. While issues are being sorted out along the way the fact that we moved into a "New" home and had light switches not work or missing floor boards and sinking floors is inexcusable. I understand that cosmetic things like tiles uneven and shotty paint work is expected and that is ok but having your HVAC system not working correctly in FL is something I would expect to have sorted out. It was a long process due to delay of windows. Started with the framing when they had weak corners, poor bracing. Installed portions of the roof in the dark, I see roof sheathing plywood popping out in the neighborhood Cabinets installed 45 days before the house was climate controlled Patio cement is already cracked. The Pulte work sites are horrible. Trash and waisted supplies every where

Poor craftsmanship Poor responsiveness from building manager If I could of pulled out of my contract without any penalties or inconvenience to my family with moving I would have done so

The home itself is nice, no complaint there. However I’ve been in for 4 weeks, the cabinets are atrocious and not well built. The drawers hang or won’t close. Or they’re so close to another cabinet or drawer you can’t open them because they don’t have handles. The spare bathroom developed a leak in the shower diverter and it’s been 5 days and no one from warranty has been here to fix it after they assured me they would. The paint the builders uses is horrible. If you remotely tough the paint, it’s leaving a very distinct mark. The more you look the more you see where the drywall and mud striping was done in a hurry and it looks terrible on the ceilings. Pulte mortgage was asking absolutely personal and ridiculous questions during the purchase process and that is why I went with another VA lender. ... More

After you are in you are on your own. Tried to get something repaired within the 30 days and was responded to after the 30 days

Home had several issues and a final quality inspection not done properly. I’m currently dealing with several defaults that need to be fixed. Company being responsive but could have been avoided if more quality was set in place instead of speed to finalize a project.

Make sure you keep an eye on them
