I love the home. It's a huge upgrade from the apartment life we were living. However, the builders were told multiple times about issues that should have been fixed early. Instead walls had to be tore out the days before closing to get repaired. Multiple doors are installed crooked and won't stay open. Parts are missing from doors as well as hinges and door knobs poorly installed. Obviously there was a mad rush to slap together the rest of the home toward the end to finish in time for closing. Items still aren't done that were requested day of closing. Trim outside and inside is painted poorly and sloppily. Fence was never finished at the corner of the home. While I am happy with the house overall, the quality and care didn't exist. The employees we dealt with were lovely people however, I would never hire the painters or the cleaners for another job again. The amount of paint on our new carpet was ridiculous and the horrible cleaning job could have been done better by my 7 year old. As far as the build goes, time will tell. I believe the construction was done well other than the issues mentioned above. The sales agent, the building superintendent and the final closing superintendent were all nice and they kept us informed through the build. But there is a lot left to be desired for the final touches of the home. I am not sure I would recommend CENTEX in the future. Maybe if they slowed down toward the end and hired better painters and cleaners. ... More

The loan and approval process was super easy and as a first time home buyer this made it a better than expected experience. The inspector explained everything and was prompt when responding to emails regarding our home construction timeline. We’ve been in our home since summer of 2021 and can say we have piece of mind knowing we have a new home with new electrical, plumbing, and HVAC that are still covered under warranty. My biggest concerns are the upstairs sub floor joints are uneven with each other and can be felt on your feet through the carpet when walking upstairs. Dry wall is cracking at sheet rock joints right above our dinner table, as well as in lots of corners where the metal edging ends. There’s a big area in our living room that looks like it was patched but didn’t turn out so well. We didn’t even see it until we moved our furniture around and noticed it. Tile grout is already cracking and in the laundry room we can tell not enough mortar was applied to the outer tiles, which flex when walking on them. I can go on and on, these just bother me the most. I understand what builder grade materials are and know things will not be perfect as far as the cosmetic concerns go, but if the workmanship is not there from the beginning, I can’t trust that this home was built well and can not recommend this builder to anyone. Getting in contact with the builder was always an issue. Updates were hardly ever sent and closing kept getting delayed

We are happy with our home buying experience. We wish that there had been more time spent on the little finishing details to make sure that the home felt complete, but as a starter home, the price is decent for what you get. There is some room for customizability, but for some things, it is worth it to just do it yourself down the road so you don't pay interest on minor upgrades.

We were pleased with Pulte and the lending process. It went very smooth. Our field managers also get a 10 star. Shout out to Walker for trying his best and hardest to make things happen even during shortages. The flooring is very low quality. You can not even place a dining table down without the floors having intentions immediately. The cleaning lady did not do a good job on a “move in ready” clean. I completely understand the surrounding areas are a construction site and so was the home, however there was still solution left on the cabinets that had not been wiped up, dust on the counters, doors etc. We did a thorough cleaning ourselves. We are finding a lot of unfinished things that will have to get done with the 1 year warranty. It’s a great home for a great price, but the biggest concern is the quality in the flooring and the warranty not covering that. For the price we paid, the flooring should be better. ... More

The only positive was after I contacted the construction supervisors boss.His superior stayed on top of our construction and tried to correct the bad experience we had with the supervisor.We still have outstanding issues that need attentioon.

the paint job is really bad. that i will have to repaint the whole hose soon. also the concrete in front of the main door is not even, they been saying that i t will get fix soon but nothing yet .

The house itself is built decently. Obviously I know that there will be little things here and there and it is a process to get things sorted out over the course of a couple months while the house settles but the trades companies that this company employees to handle electricity, HVAC and tiling/drywall make me believe that they have no idea what they are doing. We have had so many issues related to trade work its not funny. While issues are being sorted out along the way the fact that we moved into a "New" home and had light switches not work or missing floor boards and sinking floors is inexcusable. I understand that cosmetic things like tiles uneven and shotty paint work is expected and that is ok but having your HVAC system not working correctly in FL is something I would expect to have sorted out. It was a long process due to delay of windows. Started with the framing when they had weak corners, poor bracing. Installed portions of the roof in the dark, I see roof sheathing plywood popping out in the neighborhood Cabinets installed 45 days before the house was climate controlled Patio cement is already cracked. The Pulte work sites are horrible. Trash and waisted supplies every where

Poor craftsmanship Poor responsiveness from building manager If I could of pulled out of my contract without any penalties or inconvenience to my family with moving I would have done so

The home itself is nice, no complaint there. However I’ve been in for 4 weeks, the cabinets are atrocious and not well built. The drawers hang or won’t close. Or they’re so close to another cabinet or drawer you can’t open them because they don’t have handles. The spare bathroom developed a leak in the shower diverter and it’s been 5 days and no one from warranty has been here to fix it after they assured me they would. The paint the builders uses is horrible. If you remotely tough the paint, it’s leaving a very distinct mark. The more you look the more you see where the drywall and mud striping was done in a hurry and it looks terrible on the ceilings. Pulte mortgage was asking absolutely personal and ridiculous questions during the purchase process and that is why I went with another VA lender. ... More

After you are in you are on your own. Tried to get something repaired within the 30 days and was responded to after the 30 days

Home had several issues and a final quality inspection not done properly. I’m currently dealing with several defaults that need to be fixed. Company being responsive but could have been avoided if more quality was set in place instead of speed to finalize a project.

Make sure you keep an eye on them

The sales process was easy, but the construction team not so good. Im still finding things wrong with the house. I've been in the house for 2 months and still don't have some of the original issues fixed. Construction team is unresponsive now.

I have the biggest case of buyers remorse. Plastic faucets on a 245k house? Lawn is full of weeds. Builder does not respond in a timely manner. Cheap fixtures make me so sad. I had a history maker home that was much better quality and the builder was top notch. I am beyond sad about my home but feel stuck with it.

Our experience with Centex was not a great one. A lot of options weren't available and we went through several different build managers. We were shown a model home and there were a lot of features in the model home and were not told that those feature would not be in our home. The main issues we had was with their in house underwriting department with a lot of communication errors.

Prior to my walkthrough I had an inspection done of the home. During my walkthrough I gave that report and reported some other problems with the home. I was told everything would be fixed, that did not happen. After I moved in I noticed several more things . There were flaws in the workmanship done around the home. Overspray of paint, construction debri under appliances, debri on top of kitchen cabinet, unfinished caulking around several of the baseboards and door trims, nail holes, hole in wall, nicks in doors and frame, unfinished paint spots, debri in window seals, finger prints on walls and closets, crooked bathroom drawer, damaged kitchen cabinets, unfinished drywall in closets, toilet piping not seated to the wall, light fixture in bathroom not attached properly, concrete rocks all around landscaping.....many issuers with my home and .the craftsmanship that was done to my home looks rushed. ... I have had to put a ticket in 4x in one month (2) tkts were due to my downstairs not heating up. I have had the ac/heating company come out twice the first one shut vents on my 2nd floor and did an air balance check and still it did not help. The second time they came out they opened up the vents upstairs and told me to run the fan while running the heater still no big change in the way my downstairs feels. Now I believe im beginning to see a spot on my ceiling in my upstairs bathroom that cld be a roof leak. I also had an irrigation issue on the side of my home when I moved I was told this will be fixed and they did come out and replace sod. The side of my home is still "muddy" and I cant walk to my backyard without destroying another pair of shoes. So no in all honesty I have had too many issues for this to be a brand new home. ... Squeaky floors upstairs.

Still need to clear for the customer before sighing the contact.I find two different things.

Love the house but the small issues do not get resolved and when they do finally get resolved something else gets messed up or it doesn’t get done right

The buying experience was fantastic, the sales person(s) were fantastic, the original construction supervisors were great, and the construction seemed to be going well, as time to close on the sale was nearing the wheels fell off the building machine. It seemed everything that could go wrong went wrong, many items lacked in workmanship, many things didn't work, then it was a rush to the finish.
