This experience was terrible. Those who you’re supposed to be in contact became unresponsive. The lack of consistency with communication along with poor craftsmanship is something I never want to deal with again.

Never trust the builder for the words. if it is a legal document then they will do it. else it is just an eyewash. never sign anything if you are unhappy especially not on their words. they always over promise and under deliver. Phrases like " We will do it by next week"-- they never happen. Very painful experience...

I have lived in this home for 3 weeks and have had to put in 3 work orders. Most of my outlets do not work, I had a huge leak which caused my water to turn off. They were suppose to send out the irrigation people to fix it, this still has not happened. My backyard and front yard was supposed to be re-rolled. This has not happened. My oven does not work submitted a work order has yet to hear from the people about fixing it. Our project manager does not have the knowledge to build a house. Contractors do less than quality work and it is acceptable to the PM. We had to point out several issues. They installed broken window, broken cabinet, unlevel flooring, no straight walls, terrible paint job and I could go on and on. You close and move in and it is a pain to get the outstanding work completed after they have your money. Go elsewhere!

First off, Rochelle and the rest of the sales team are amazing. I mean they knocked it out of the park. Then there is the field team and warranty team. They literally sucked the joy out of my experience of building my first home. They constantly change the rules to suit their needs, not the customer’s. My house had two floods. Centex has not been a good experience. Everyone was warm and welcoming in the beginning, but they are not to be trusted. They force you to close before everything is correct and they tell you it’ll be no problem to get it fixed. Once you reach out, it’s hard for them to fix it. They cut corners and try to make you feel like you’re stupid or wrong for asking them to fix it. If I’m paying this much for a house, I would like it to be done correctly. Overall very disappointed with the quality of the material and workmanship. Interior space, layout, plan seems OK. But execution, quality material, workmanship, quality control, inspection process are subpar. The second day after moving we had to call emergency number for water leak in laundry room. You can imagine the experience. I had purchased two houses prior to this and were not this disappointed unfortunately. I am not recommending anyone to build or purchase Centex house.

We found our "salesperson" Jessica Golden, to be pleasant and responsible, but as we moved on into our new home we have had many problems with our new construction home built by Centex. No quality or pride in workmanship. Carpet covered in paint and drywall dust. Treated like damaged floors, switches, appliances, counters etc are normal for a new house. No processes whatsoever. Every attempt to fix just made worse because they hire the cheapest most inexperienced labor they can find.

I wish I could say I got my money’s worth, but I don’t feel that way. There is no team here, just one person trying to get the various workers to do their jobs. There was no opportunity to upgrade anything. The materials used seem cheap, the workmanship is shoddy. Someone came to fix a problem and made another problem that someone else had to come back and fix. There are gouges in the walls that should have been plastered and painted before move in. Fixtures are plastic. Entry level appliances, flooring, etc. I’m disappointed and resigned.

My honest overall experience has not been the best and definitely had room for improvement from day one of my experience. I experienced poor customer service not from all but a few. After moving into our home, several issues were noted. One was the realization that the bathroom tub has permanent damage, namely, severe scratches and scuff marks that cannot be remedied by cleaning. Another issue was several scratches on the glass of the bathroom mirror. Those scratches, obviously, cannot be removed by cleaning. Centex has refused to remedy those issues. Terrible.. never have I ever had such a terrible experience buying a house. This is my third one and by far the worst one . No one returns phone call , everyone waits till the last minute to ask for this or that. Talked to a cpl neighbors and basically had the same experience. If it wasn’t for having so much time invested in it, I would have backed out and went else where.

Unnecessary arguments over move in dates, for a new home there was quite a bit of things that needed to be addressed.
