We are deeply disappointed with the poor quality of customer service we have experienced since closing on our house. Despite our efforts, no one has been willing to address the issues we have encountered. It has now been 45 days since closing, and several problems remain unresolved. While I prefer not to mention any names here, it is important for the management team to be aware of the individuals responsible for the Winding Brook subdivision in San Antonio, TX. I wish there were a way to share pictures to illustrate our concerns.

I moved in April 15, 2024 hoping to settle in a new home where I wouldn’t have to worry about any issues first month of moving in noticed that water was leaking from AC furnace drain pipe and had home warranty work done well that issue was resolved. I was then having issues with my AC not cooling my house. This also was happening on the first month. Do you want a new home with blocked showers and bath tubs, get your home flooded on Day 1, with no accountability from builders, then go for Centex Homes. Plus, good luck dealing with rude and unprofessional regional manager Corey G for warranty issues in phoenix area. Worst, repairs didn’t get authorized and now on my own to get things fixed. It’s been one month since purchase and has been an absolute nightmare for me. Make a wise choice and Hope you don’t have to go through the same.

builder was awful

the interior drainage part of the HVAC unit was never installed. therefore every time the AC would run the water from the AC was collecting in the inside AC closet. sitting water for months caused a major gnat/fly issue and a mold problem. currently still trying to get the builder to assist with this issue since this happened due to a lack of checks and balances.

When I first looked at the Centex Cinco Lakes neighborhood I noticed the land scaping was terrible, but I figured it was just the lawn not that important. Wrong. When I did my final walk through the builder Mark told me they'd have the grass in by closing or a couple of days after. It took almost a month of weekly/daily calls with a clay mud yard, white carpet, and two dogs. Sales Rep Rob not reliable at all Only contacts you when something is needed Main manager Ian, even worst at addressing customer needs. They treat home owners as if they are dumb and have no idea how things work and Zero appreciation. Homes not built with quality and many issues with the home.

Not the right home if you are fairly meticulous and have a high level of attention to detail. The standards of finish on these homes are unfortunately low, including the final cleaning and especially the hasty caulking throughout. Having not been able to attend the final walkthrough, I was very regretful of my purchase when I did see the home.

The poor and lack of communication on what is expected and delivered are to different things. We thought we were getting certain things that wasn't shown but turned out it wasn't even possible. Poor communication with issues doing the building process and many times I had to verify the things that were brought up. If we hadn't stayed on top of things we would have not gotten most of our items correct or right. From door handles, faucets, tiles in bathrooms, pendants and a host of other issues. I would not recommend to any friends or family to buy / build a home with your company period.

Don't buy from Pulte

The experience was horrible. You are trapped using their contractors and companies for everything. Zero freedom to choose anything different. The divisions were unable to answer questions, pointed fingers at each other for issues and things that went wrong.

bad closing experience

Forced closing prior to home being fully built. Builder unwilling to postpone closing buy two days so that I could have an inspection done on a home which was built, instead had to do inspection on home with no gas lines, holes in stucco, unfinished bathroom, etc.. Will never do business with Pulte or Centex again

This was honestly the worst experience of my life. In full transparency there were only 2 people that cared about Elaine and I as a person during this process and that was Jack(builder) and Winn(sales rep). Builders had great response during the build. Warranty people amazing while during the build. I had an issue with the shower floor, found a tiny hole once I moved in. Through this hole water was draining to the foundation. Reached out to builder and warranty people. Worst response and never took responsibility of this. As a whole, I had a bad experience during loan process and warranty issues.

Not one person new how to do their job except the labor and project manager who built the home.

The inner offices of Pulte Mortgage and Centex homes has to be the most dysfunctional group of misfits ever put together. The experience was stressful and unclear 98% of the time. Paperwork was done 3 times and still never correctly done. Too many to list, this is just getting me mad rehashing this in my mind. Good day!

This process was extremely difficult. Still have issues with home 2 months after living in it. I’m very disappointed in centex. I choose centex because of the pulte brand and due to home cost. Being a pulte brand I expected a lot more. The cost of the home is literally the only thing that kept me interested in purchasing a home with centex.

2 months later, still arguing weekly...

The home is beautiful! The site managers are ridiculous. Literally it’s like pulling teeth to get them to answer questions directly. Constantly give noncommittal responses or just don’t respond to them at all. After closing, we were assigned another site manager. Same issue. Takes days to respond. Already had issues with features of our home and had to put in service tickets. I’d suggest another builder. Pulte (Centext) seem to only think of you as a number and just want your money.

Empty promises. Poor communication.

When buying a centex home they have all these extra steps to make you feel like they care and want to make sure the house is perfect for you but it’s all a show. They have 2 walks throughs in my case one after drywall to meet the PM, and another before close. At the initial walk though 3 months prior to closing I brought up some issues with my home and was told it will be taken care of which it never did. Even at pre closing they told me they will fix it yet again and did not. Closed on the house extremely behind schedule almost 3 months behind. Even after everything still dealing with issues.

Misleading and sub par quality!

Firstly, when any company offers incentives, ask very specific questions. We were offered 5.5% AND $10,000 cash to do with what we want, well over half of that 10g’s went to buying down the interest, this was never disclosed. Centex dealt/deals with Pulte mort. Co a was an extremely unprofessional and frustrating process from beginning to end. I would not recommend Centex homes or Pulte financial group to anyone.

From the day we went under contract until now, we are having repeated issues and lack of problems being resolved quickly. We closed and got keys. We were given keys that did not even work.
