Centex Homes - I have a lot to appreciate this company like the neighborhood

I have a lot to appreciate this company like the neighborhood and the house manager(Mark) are two of the main things I would like to appreciate Mark has really great responsive tendencies he is always there to help with issues and even if he can’t he always tries his best to satisfy customer and for that I would like to thank him. Something that left me with a sour taste in my mouth is the fact that after 30 of you moving in they are supposed to come to do a walk though in your house and that is a part of the contract but they never showed up. we I did I told them that when I moved in my ...

Centex Homes - I love my home.

I love my home. Centex conceptualizes a beautiful look and appeal. My concern is workmanship it was poor all around. I never had a final walk through it was a 1001 things some major some minor that’s needed repair. Everything from the walkway to the bathrooms constant workmanship issues. And the response has been horrific I’m in two months now and still waiting for repairs to be completed. From spilling paint in carpet to, to broken cabinets in kitchen, to unleveled doors and crooked trim and every crooked placed Sheetrock and ripples in the ceiling. Its the contracted workers poor ...

Lack of detail on the property. So many things were wrong when I walked through but most of it has been fixed. Still needs painting and windows frames repaired. So many people to deal with.

I closed on February 14. In January, my builder acknowledged that two windows needed to be replaced and he was working on that. When we closed, we signed paperwork acknowledging that our builder was still responsible for getting our windows fixed. It’s April 13 and I am STILL waiting on this to happen. We keep asking about it and we are rarely hearing back or are told they are “looking into it”, then never hear again. We’ve had to involve higher ups just to get what was promised to us 4 months ago done.

No blue tape meeting and so many issues
- James L.

The house was unfinished due to multiple careless mistakes when we moved in. We were never allowed to have our blue tape meeting and kept being told it would be this day or that day and then it never happened. There is paint on the floor, missing caulk, gauges in the wall, pin holes everywhere, missing screws, a attic door that isn't even painted at all, a banister that is not finished being sanded and stained, spindaels that are not fully attached, and doors that to do not close, and things we paid for that were never installed. It's been a month and a half and the builder is still refusing ...

Starting out was great got to choose your own design and select colors but when it came to building the house we had a lot of failed inspection because workers were cutting corners and causing me to be delayed another 3 and half months from closing and I am still finding more issues after closing, this feels like a working project instead of a move and ready home, my advise is do not close until everything is fix and I mean everything, because to get someone out there will take weeks to fix.

They rush the house build and didn't address every issue my inspector caught. I keep seeing new things wrong everyday about the poor quality. The buying process was smooth and location is good.

Houses are built with hurry and because of this there are things left behind. Finishes left behind like doors not closing correctly or having gaps. Almost two months and I can hardly use my backyard because it does not drain correctly. They came to fix it and now is worse. The stairs handrail still waiting to be fixed. Low quality paint. Not happy with this purchase.

Centex Homes - I have purchased this property on 02/24.

I have purchased this property on 02/24. Since then I have reported 4 different issues. Ongoing issue with breaker circuit causing the AC to go off and home gets warm. Someone came and replaced the breaker but issue is still happening. Replaced microwave, dryer didn't work due to a cable /set up. There are some serious issues with my drainage in the master bathroom and it smells bad. Not happy with my "Dream Home Purchase". Too many issues too soon

Warranty Employees & Sensitivity Training

Centex/Pulte Warranty department employees need a better understanding of their work ethics. We were instructed if there are any issues needing to be corrected call the warranty department. First there’s no human contact by phone to address the issues. Everything is to be listed by photo and described then emailed to the Warranty Dept. I did that for a few items that need to be corrected. I was then sent an email which I found to be very condensing advising me to wait 45 days so they could be corrected. Well I have a huge security issue with our back glass sliding door. The builder contractor ...

We were really excited to get into our new home as it was really beautiful and had the space and many upgrades we were looking for. However, upon move-in about a month ago, we began to notice and experience many issues and we have now started to worry about the quality of the build and the customer service when there are issues. We noted two major concerns during our final walk through, and only one issue has been fixed to date. We haven't heard anything or a timeline on when the other issue will addressed. Additionally, after closing we came in to find drywall paint and dark stain in ...

Not standing behind its own warranty

Centex's warranty customer service department is either incompetent or worse, not willing to stand behind its warranty. For the first two weeks after we moved in, the on-site project manager took care of any warranty issues we had. After we started having some electrical problems a month later, we were told now we have to call their customer service. We contacted their customer service to have an electrician come out and take a look. Centex told us they made an appointment for us. When the electrician never showed up I called that electric company but was unable to get hold of anyone. ...

The experience has been bad thus far. However, I have been ghosted after having some issues with the extended warranty on couple of my appliances. Additionally, I have complained about the standing water within my yard, which is still under warranty I must had, but still no one had made the effort to come and get this situated. I am getting the sense that they are doing as much as they can to not honor this warranty.

I chose a newly constructed home over a fixer upper, because I did not want to deal with the workmen and hassle of sourcing materials etc, however it feels like a fixer upper, the finish is very poor. the floor is dull, the bathroom panels are not sealed and have gaps, I am worried water is going to seeped thru the gaps and I am going to have mold. the accessories are cheap and outdated, the front door at least could have a door handle instead of the round doorknob. the bedroom doors have closet doorknobs and cannot lock, the toilet seats and cover are heavy, I have not seen those heavy ...

Upon first walking through the homes we purchased, we liked the colors and the fact that it was mostly tile flooring. We also liked the distance between houses. It seemed like pretty much everything we wanted. However, upon moving in and really getting to see the walls and doors and windows, we began quickly noticing a LOT of issues all with quality of workmanship. This house was thrown together so fast by people who really didn't know what the heck they were doing. All of the switch plates and doorstops were put in place before they textured and painted the walls so they are all a mess! ...

The model of the home I truly like, however, the home was just thrown together just to pease me. The home was support to been deliver to me on Dec 7, well it was pushed out due to material was not ordered. I feel like once they received the material they was on a time crunch which made them throw the house together and not looking out for the well being of the buyer. all cheap material has been placed in the homes and the buyer has spent all of they life saving to buy a quality home which was not delivered. And now we have to replace things. I'm not happy with this builder at all.
