Awesome experience

Communication has been faulty from the beginning. I moved in June 2020 and was told that a 30 day walkthrough and 11 month walkthrough would happen to fix issues, but the 30 day was and will not be done per the warranty dept. Low tier Whirlpool appliances specifically came as an incentive, but were not installed properly. For 1.5 months, despite numerous requests, no one came to attach the missing ventilation tube to the clothes dryer, indicating this was not an emergency. Finally, we were frustrated enough that we fixed it on our own dime. Not being able to safely and cleanly use a clothes dryer after move in is not an emergency? Additionally, any service personnel that came to the house had no idea what they were there to service; the plumber came 3 times because his team didn't review the prior visits and came unprepared all over again. The warranty dept has not proven it communicates at all with contractors. The most blaring issue is the lack of craftsmanship on this house with obvious hastily completed work. The amount of holes, cracks, bad or missing painting, and misaligned blinds and cabinets, and frayed carpet edges cut too short is innumerable. Additionally, the base and floor boards were poorly cut and installed and separated from the floor very shortly after move in causing ants to march in throughout kitchen and living room for days. This will be left unaddressed again and I was told by the warranty dept to pay a contractor to get it fixed even though the structural warranty should be applied. The blue tape I placed and photographes in most places in the final walkthrough before close was plainly removed without remediation. These issues still exist and are getting worse. The housing development is also not kept clean in public areas even though we are paying HOA dues. I will be unlikely to deal with this builder again. ... More

The only reason I gave only 3 stars on responsiveness is because it took over 2 weeks to get someone out to fix our sliding glass doors that we could not use until it was fixed.

The home is well made, but when it comes to the surrounding they rushed and did not do a complete job. There are many places where they rushed to get the home done. Also the outstide water draining systems are not to par.

Everything was processed Well and the home Turned out great. Scott was awesome although there was some communication issues ( they build fast and move on the to the next place quick) overall great home great value.

I decided to purchase my home with Centex based on their solid reputation. From the beginning, they assure you of the high quality materials and workmanship. Throughout the construction process, I encountered numerous issues with the build of the home. Prior to closing, I went through the entire home and requested for several things to be fixed. Now almost two months after having closed on the home, I am still finding a lot of errors in the construction of the home. I have found unfinished caulking, damage to walls, and errors with lighting fixtures/installation. Late in the construction process, it was confirmed that Centex doesn’t hire the best to build the best. They simply contract out the lowest bidder and their construction supervisors ensure that it’s built as good as possible. Prior to closing, I even had to hire a third party inspector who found even more problems and then we had to have City/County inspectors come back out to the home. Bottom line, I will not be buying another Centex/Pulte home I’m the future and have not been recommending this company further. ... More

Homes are slapped together workers not double checking their work. Warranty take forever to get somebody out there. My front door was not installed correctly. Had to hire my own guy because 84 Iumber is worthless. I have 2 cracked windows. Still waiting for that.

Centex Homes really helped me to get the home I wanted. They were there for any questions and any issue that arose in the buying process. The thing I liked about them the most was that they seemed to really care, and that they really wanted me to get the home so I could become a homeowner.

Still no sod, living around mud, apart continually being promised it will happen, "next week", for 2 months now. Not responsive to other small issues, got attitude instead of results.

Centex/Pulte Warranty department employees need a better understanding of their work ethics. We were instructed if there are any issues needing to be corrected call the warranty department. First there’s no human contact by phone to address the issues. Everything is to be listed by photo and described then emailed to the Warranty Dept. I did that for a few items that need to be corrected. I was then sent an email which I found to be very condensing advising me to wait 45 days so they could be corrected. Well I have a huge security issue with our back glass sliding door. The builder contractor ABS sent out 2 individuals on different occasions to correct the issues and both stated the issue isn’t the glass door( which doesn’t lock) the issue is with the Glass Door Frame! It’s been nearly 2 months since we’ve moved in and still the glass sliding door issue remains to be corrected. Does a person need to wait 45 days for their house to be secure. I’ve had to obtain a security system to protect my family. And BTW the list has grown for the 45 day repair. Not too happy for the amount we paid for the house. Warranty Dept needs better communication than doing things by email. Phone calls are a huge social distant approach. Workers should take pride in their tasks. ... More

Our construction manager was great to deal with and continues to be helpful as we ha e progressively gotten settled. It was a great experience and we are excited for our new home!

We are a first time buyer and they guide us through the process. They were very helpful and can be trusted. They provide good quality materials. The managers and staff are very responsive to us. We are now enjoying our beautiful home.

Let start with our Sales Consultant who was a joy to work with and she answered all our questions regarding the model home we choose. We visited with her quite often. Our Field Manger kept us advised on a weekly basis on the building process. During our walk through he explained the home features and provided feedback and follow-up regarding our concerns.

Logan is awesome. Very responsive and stayed on top of things.

Good communication, good team work, good home buying experience.

Salesperson very knowledgable and helpful from initial meeting all the way through the closing process. Onsite production manager very knowledgable and helpful too. We visited the Conway area and met with several builders before deciding to make our home purchase. Center Pulte homes were by far the best priced for our retirement investment. We could not have made a better decision!

Centex offers spacious living at an affordable price. The salesperson and construction supervisor were a pleasure to work with and made the homebuying and building process very enjoyable. I encourage others to look into Centex if they're considering building a new home.

Though we were not present during home building process and closing of our new home it all went very smoothly. Field manager and his team and all other teams had done great job. a great job.

Centex was great to work with throughout the home construction and purchasing process. We love our new home and many of the features are excellent. We would have liked to have other options for some of the finishes (faucets, lights, etc.), and we never received a paint touch up kit which we were told was something everyone would be given. We were also given a tree in our backyard that began to die and lose its leaves within two days of its installation, although there is a chance it will come back in the spring. There was also a short delay in our keys being provided to us on our closing day. These issues aside, everything else about the process went very well, and everyone we encountered that worked for Centex was kind and helpful. Our home is beautiful and comfortable. The trades and people who physically worked on the house was very poor quality and needed to be redone multiple times throughout the whole build process. The land scape was very poor to the point where most of it need to be redone and paid for by the home owner (myself). That includes uneven bed lines around mulched areas, the dirt that was used to level and grade the yard was extremely poor quality (rocks all throughout yard) and uneven when grass was laid making mowing and yard work very difficult. This was the same impression throughout the neighborhood, also the sprinkler system was done terribly (whoever did it shouldn’t be doing sprinkler systems period). My build manager did the best job he could with what he had and this review should not negatively impact him. ... More
