The attention you receive from Centex reps is great right before you close, after the closing and you get your keys good luck reaching anyone for warranty service. Very disappointed. That alone makes me not want to recommend Centex to friends and family.

I had a Centex home that was pre-Pulte buy out and LOVED the building experience, the builder and the final home product. My experience with my newest home, post-Pulte buy out, was NOT as pleasurable nor do I have the confidence in this newest homes quality. Building process seemed rushed, was about “getting it done” and the workmanship is lacking as a result. I don’t feel the home I have has the quality in workmanship that it should for the price I paid. I wouldn’t do another Centex home based on my most recent experience. Poor communication, lack of care, cheap product

Very frustrating to work with the people running this operation. Communication is very poor and follow through is like pulling teeth. They wait until the last minute to make repairs and you have to continually remind them to get it done. The workers are sloppy and create more problems when fixing one thing. They are a cookie cutter operation and only care about moving on to the next house. If it’s not done by closing, good luck with warranty. Everything is done by email and there’s no care about customer service.

Lots of Issues and broken promises

These houses have major electrical issues. They're not wired correctly. There's massive drains issues. I was told I would have a warranty walkthrough at 30 days and still nothing. I had to replace 2 appliances in the first week because of the wiring. Breakers flip constantly. The response and the HOA are also extremely disappointing. If I had to do it over again I certainly wouldn't purchase here.

The quality of materials used and the workmanship get a one star. The cabinetry, flooring, carpets, fencing, and landscaping are of terrible quality. The electrical panel is a 15/20 so I cannot have the lights on and vacuum at the same time without popping the panel. The same thing happens when I have the lights on and want to use several appliances at once in the kitchen such as an air fryer and rice cooker, the panel pops multiple times. Non-existent Customer Service

We had to delay closing multiple times due to incomplete or substandard workmanship. When the project manager was contacted with a list, it was documented, but little or nothing done within a reasonable timeframe. One incident was a crooked wall running at roughly a 25 degree angle, the response was "it doesn't look that bad". It was eventually "repaired", but now the drywall tape was worked loose and is protruding. Have been in the house for almost two full months and the power washing has still not been completed.

Prime Example of Deceptive Marketing at Work

Quality of materials used is horrible. I have cracking of interior paint on my walls throughout the home. Mixing valve in my master shower was faulty, therefore there was no cold water to the shower. Only scalding hot water. First week into the home and already had a massive hole in my master bedroom wall to have the shower mixing valve replaced. Gaps in the exterior siding is not caulked. The landscaper laid my sod with 4”-5” rocks underneath. The quality of the home compared to the price you pay is unbelievable. $460,000 home that doesn’t come with quality product and material. When I breathe on the flat paint walls it leaves a mark, the applicances are quite literally the cheapest things you can buy on the market. Even the primary shower is a built in you don’t even get a nice tile shower. The $460,000 primary closet is 3 metal racks… HVAC unit runs only on Emergency heat if it’s cold out and the small single unit cannot even heat the downstairs and upstairs at the same time you have to choose which floor you want heated and turn off the other. $460,000 house doesn’t come with a single cabinet ...

I feel like the trades people they hire take no pride in their work, many things had to be done multiple times to just pass our basic acceptance level. Many many issues too many to list here, I would not recommend.

Instead of downsizing to a small beautiful ranch I feel like I have moved into a section 8 living house. My issues have been with dry walling, paint issues, seems like they used the cheapest paint and only put one coat, front door not sealed properly, back door was letting rain in, calking issue, HVAC issue, faulty smoke detector, plants that were dead in the front. The list goes on and on. I feel like I made a big mistake in buying this home. needless to say, I am very upset.

Prior to moving in there were squeaks and uneven flooring, wood sticking out in in t he garage ceiling. The kitchen was flooded from a water line burst. Also the garage walls and floors had water leaks. Some door knobs and hitch loose. Over all, I think detailing is very poor. There is still squeaks and a brand new home should not feel like a fixer up.

Never trust the builder for the words. if it is a legal document then they will do it. else it is just an eyewash. never sign anything if you are unhappy especially not on their words. they always over promise and under deliver. Phrases like " We will do it by next week"-- they never happen. Very painful experience...

We found our "salesperson" Jessica Golden, to be pleasant and responsible, but as we moved on into our new home we have had many problems with our new construction home built by Centex. I wish I could say I got my money’s worth, but I don’t feel that way. There is no team here, just one person trying to get the various workers to do their jobs. There was no opportunity to upgrade anything. The materials used seem cheap, the workmanship is shoddy. Someone came to fix a problem and made another problem that someone else had to come back and fix. There are gouges in the walls that should have been plastered and painted before move in. Fixtures are plastic. Entry level appliances, flooring, etc. I’m disappointed and resigned.
