Very bad workmanship, rushed to closed without finishing the house

The house was rushed to closed by the builder even it was not completed. The third-party inspector told me not to buy this house as he was so worried about the build quality. When we move in the house so many incomplete items need to be fixed, we have to take time off work to stay and wait for their independent contractor schedule to fix those that should have been finished before hand.

This was my fourth new construction home with four different builders and by far the worst experience ever. All complaints are for the construction part of things. Title and sales were great!

Cheap Quality

The materials are cheap. The homes are expensive and they provide cheap or the bare minimum. No ceiling fans, no handles on the any of the cabinets. I wasnt aware most of the these homes are rentals until after i moved here and someone told me. Had I known i wouldnt have purchased. I have put in TWO service calls and no one has reached out. We have these cheap dated sliding patio doors that i havent seen since the 80’s. Everything is the houses are super cheap wven the flimsy doors and cheap hardware. I hate it.

This has been a horrible experience. They rushed the job and have no process to guarantee quality. Their process is asking first time home buyers do you like the house. I am not a contractor. Let’s start.I have a ticket that was issued October 16. I sent an email to customer care on 10.31.2024 still have not heard anything. It is now 11.11.2024. Honestly, this was an overall very poor experience. In all aspects of those that handled my buying experience. There was a lack of care, professionalism, and attentiveness throughout. And I was extremely disappointed.

A NIGHTMARE of a first purchase

I purchased this home to relocated to San Antonio TX’ found what has turned out to be a nice neighborhood with a great group of neighbors… however it’s been nearly 5 months and I am still tracking down help to get my home repairs that were promised at closing done! Flooding issues.

They do not level the back yard for drainages unless they put the grass, my house did not include grass on the back and since we moved in and weeks prior to closing my yard was flooded and told many times my construction manager and never fix it, it’s been 3 months since we moved in and I still have the same issue and they refuse to fix it. I bought a new “quality” home to not have these issues but it’s been a terrible experience. Warranty guy never contacted me or email me about warranties.

The entire process was a horrible experience. We will never use Pulte/Centex again. Misinformation and lack of communication was an issue throughout the process. Even to the point they lied about the inspectors appointments which resulted in delays in closing, failed to disclose critical repairs need day before closing, construction manager did not even do a final walk through - before or after closing. Centex Homes - This centex builder is not Upto the mark.

This centex builder is not Upto the mark. They are building the homes to sell it fast. They are not looking for the quality of the house. The engineers working for centex are not professionally qualified and they mostly don’t know how to build the house but they are doing that. They are asking the buyer to close the house without completing the home and the buyer mostly don’t know about few things and they are rush to close because of the time limits.

Would Not Recommend Pulte/Centex to Anyone

Terrible, terrible buying experience. Builder purposely delayed close because we chose to use a third party lender. We were homeless living in an extended stay hotel with our pets for weeks because of their intentional delays. Pulte Mortgage was EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE in trying to keep us from going elsewhere. The “incentives” they offer buyers are eaten up by their ridiculously high fees, so you actually net zero dollars towards the purchase. The closing agent from Pulte was extremely rude during the signing. The build quality is seriously lacking. There was no attention to detail. ...

I hesitated to write this review, but the number of issues I had to go through with this new build is unbearable. The closing date was 2/18/2022. Today is 4/21/2022. Before buying this house, I was ready to go with Taylor Morrison vs. Pulte. However, I end-up signing with Pulte/Centex after considering the commute (Centex house is closer to the city). I have lived in my home less than 2 months and it is little falling apart. The longer I live here the more issues I have. The attention to detail is terrible. The quality is terrible. My cabinets must have been installed by someone with no experience. The texture and paint have to be fixed. The shower rod is so cheap it literally broke when I hung my shower curtain. I’m so frustrated with this home.

My feedback is base on the current status of the poor service since I signed - purchased the house, currently know one has come to correct the construction errors and defects after termination of the construction the company have not be to the standards

The company Centex-Pulte have not prioritizing the current owner on the sub division East Lake Preserve we poor customer service in accordance with their own contract they have felt to demonstrate trust among the customers who all ready purchase a house they only worry to continue their sell - money and revenue with house warranty attendance. The company has not live by their own standards and mission of customer service went warranty of the house come in place.

Not very happy with the total experience. Problems with Pulte mortgage. Builder cancels framing walkthrough 10 minutes before schedule. Nobody could tell me why. Craftsmanship subpar. One month in, sewer backed up, floor cracked, sprinkler pipe burst, surround sound speaker wire not connected, can lights not centered in gathering space, $4,000 sod looks terrible. Disappointed with all the problems in this new home. I don’t recommend Centex

We had nothing but issues with our build out. Our manager was more like a 50’s salesman than a manager. I would not recommend that anyone build with Centex or Pulte homes.

God, where do I start. Our field Manager was useless, the house has major issues, centex/pulte still hasnt landscaped, and gives a million excuses why they are delayed, and no one returns calls.

They just want your money. They rush you to put the down payment down before you can read the contracts. I didn’t want power lines I along my back yard. 2 weeks after I moved in, power lines were installed along my fence - within inches and through trees. And yes the landowner supplied drawings to CPS for approval of where they want them. Yes it’s a Pulte/Centex decision but they try and tell you they have no control. Not true.
