We bought our brand new home on July 18, 2021. We found our "salesperson" Jessica Golden, to be pleasant and responsible, but as we moved on into our new home we have had many problems with our new construction home built by Centex. Centex Homes and Pulte have been the most unprofessional and unreliable companies I have ever encountered. No one answer the phone nor emails. We have a busted irrigation lines in our home. I wish I could say I got my money’s worth, but I don’t feel that way. There is no team here, just one person trying to get the various workers to do their jobs. There was no opportunity to upgrade anything. The materials used seem cheap, the workmanship is shoddy. Someone came to fix a problem and made another problem that someone else had to come back and fix. There are gouges in the walls that should have been plastered and painted before move in. Fixtures are plastic. Entry level appliances, flooring, etc. I’m disappointed and resigned.

Door was left unlocked upon moving the first day no keys or lock. Almost a month later I'm still dealing with non finished items from contractor. My salesperson didn't even double check the home prior to me moving in nor gave me neighborhood info until I asked.

My wife and I were so happy to have gotten a brand new home. That is, until a week after we moved in. Never got proper keys or mail box keys. Made me pay for it without ever receiving. Salesman said 370 on house deal. Then they flipped back to 375. Leak in bathroom upstairs. Still havent dry walled the ceiling back in. Brand new air conditioning issues. 3 man holes out front that no one has addressed. Very disappointed.

It’s a Good House when you’re outside, Looking at it, But when you look in every detail inside the house you will see lots of problem, the doors are not properly aligned door jamb and all the woods have damage/dents, the concrete slab at the back of the yard is deteriorating, flood on both side of the house, no street light even we reported it to centerpoint, field manager never replied to your txt about your concern, contractor really rush to build the house

The beginning of the building experience with Centex was less stressful than the end. We had to rush to make design choices as it was a spec home and they had already started the building process. The sales rep, Ryan, was kind and helpful when he could be. Throughout the build process we had construction managers change about 3x and none of them were proactive in reaching out to provide updates on the home progress. Frustrating Homebuying Experience

I was hoping that frustrations during my closing period would improve, but it has gotten worse. Now that I am in the home, I am noticing cut corners and serious shortcuts taken with things like the electrical. The build team seems to not want to deal with me, passing me off to the Pulte service team, who I have called four times in the last two weeks without any followup from the local agent I need to speak to. Every time I pull back a layer of this home, I seem to find a new issue, which is a very bad feeling to have. Sorely disappointed and quickly developing a case of buyer's remorse.

Our project manager does not have the knowledge to build a house. Contractors do less than quality work and it is acceptable to the PM. We had to point out several issues. They installed broken window, broken cabinet, unlevel flooring, no straight walls, terrible paint job and I could go on and on. You close and move in and it is a pain to get the outstanding work completed after they have your money. Go elsewhere!

First off, Rochelle and the rest of the sales team are amazing. I mean they knocked it out of the park. Then there is the field team and warranty team. Overall very disappointed with the quality of the material and workmanship. Interior space, layout, plan seems OK. But execution, quality material, workmanship, quality control, inspection process are subpar. The second day after moving we had to call emergency number for water leak in laundry room. You can imagine the experience. I had purchased two houses prior to this and were not this disappointed unfortunately. I am not recommending anyone to build or purchase Centex house.

Carpet stained, paint spray on everything

No quality or pride in workmanship. Carpet covered in paint and drywall dust. Treated like damaged floors, switches, appliances, counters etc are normal for a new house. No processes whatsoever. Every attempt to fix just made worse because they hire the cheapest most inexperienced labor they can find.
