Not worth the price you paid

Workmanship lacking and very sloppy! Not impressed at all.

We are so happy with our new home. Our home is beautiful, everything is working correctly until now. The sales representative and construction manager are fantastic. We had a wonderful experience with Centex and Pulte group.

The sales person and project manager care about your experiences. However, It has been a challenge after closing with a couple of the vendors to get things repaired or corrected so be aware and stay on top of them.

I have built homes in the past so far this builder has done very impressive work on workmanship.

Squeaky floors upstairs.

I'm overall very pleased with my new home. The construction manager was fantastic to work with and the Centex/Pulte made it simple to buy with great staff, a great website, and a nice design center. The home went up super fast and was ready almost a month ahead of when we thought. That's where I wish it had been different. There were many things evident that showed it was a rush job. On our final walkthrough, there were quite a few things that still needed to be taken care of. We gave them the benefit of the doubt. On our closing date after signing and receiving our keys, things were still being worked on. The overall home looked wonderful with no major concerns, but there were tiny issues with painting, electrical, carpet, and cabinetry that were rough around the edges. We've had to submit a few warranty claims to get things fixed within the first couple of months. I also wish I could have chosen my landscaping a bit more. Again, overall, I'm very pleased, but they could have taken their time on a few things and they would have still met our timeline goal. ... More

I love my new home; however, I feel that the service and response time from employees at Centex could be better. I understand that they have a lot of needs to be met but I wished they would answer emails timely!!

Centex is a good builder. We had a very good experience. The field manager was very good with his responses.

Generally speaking, the building process was very quick. Communication from the builder was usually good. The main issues we encountered was that the builder would provide a date of when XYZ would be installed to the home but then it rarely happened according to their timeline. Of course exterior items are weather permitting which we understood, but often times it was interior items and the weather had been fine. The builder that was over our home often gave what we considered a "non answer" or the run around when we asked if specific items in our home could be tweaked (i.e. very slight change in location of light fixture that ultimately was never actually done). We visited multiple homes under construction that were our same model that we chose to build and were familiar with what to expect. We noticed some homes included electrical outlets in the master closet but during the build of our home there was not one. When asked about this, our building manager explained that the workers don't always work the exact same way and utilize skills carried with them from various other home builders. While we decided not to argue about the installation of something as simple as an electrical outlet, we did not find this reasoning to be satisfactory. Every home should be built the exact same way. Upon moving into our home, we noticed LOTS of trash scattered in our backyard that which included sharp blades and nails everywhere. We have dogs and before we were able to allow them to use the yard we had to spend a good amount of time to clean up all the debris which we were not at all happy about. A home buyer who just spent several hundred thousand dollars should never have to do that. We picked up 3 full grocery sacks worth of metal and debris, some of which was simply covered up by a layer of sod. This is dangerous! What if other homes with children experienced this and were injured? We felt this was entirely lazy and inconsiderate of the construction crew and the builder for not ensuring this was properly taken care of. Otherwise, we were happy with the sales of the home, the majority of the building process was smooth and enjoyable and of course we love our new home. Now... we just have to submit a claim for our non-working disposal (we have been here 1 month and we have hardly used it... YIKES). ... More

Make sure u run the water all at the same time to make sure the plumbing was done correctly and don’t have issues

the contractor was great to work with . He was made sure all our concern was handle with care.

Our entire experience was great! From Monte and signing documents to our contractor! We loved all of it!

Overall very happy with Centex. The SmartHomes Salesman not so much. He is not honest, doesn't explain his product throughly and tried to price gouge us three times. The technicians should be selling this product as they are excellent. We will not recommend Smart Homes to anyone and will tell people not to use their products. Overall very happy with Centex and our new home.

Great home builder.

We're very happy with our new home

We have honestly had nothing but issues unfortunately since moving in. Broken sewer lines. So bad that we had to call emergency line on Christmas DAY when whole house lost sewer use. Not fun with tons of guests. We had to have an electrician out within first two weeks too for an issue with outdoor lighting. The tub was clogged with grout and I had to reach into the pipe and clear it. Something we asked in walk-through to be completed. There is grout smeared all over our tile floors and we have had to scrape it off. The pantry door does not latch and neither do many of the other doors in the home. The paint was rushed and many spots smeared on the ceiling. Lots of gaps showing. Overall just rushed and messy. We find a new issue almost daily and for the price we paid, its super frustrating. ... Everyone has been so nice and helpful throughout the whole process. Tom, Anthony and Josh were wonderful.

The buying process was easy. The homes are built to quality. So glad I picked a Centex home. Extremely happy with this new home.

Had a great experience during the home buying/building process!

I had to do 3 final walk through this town house. My first one there was a leak in the living room wall that they had the wall torn apart by the sliding door when I arrived. The second walk through there was a wet spot on the wall were the original leak was. I was the person that pointed out that the wall was still leaking. I was told they would have to investigate the leak in the wall once again. When I came for the third walk through the problem (rusted coupling that was leaking) had been resolved. The carpet from the master bedroom on my first walk through was not properly secured in the entrance to the bathroom. The carpet issue was also pointed out in my first walk through. This process delayed my signing of this property until November, which cost more money on my part. ... More

Reno and Melissa have made the process so easy going . Reno has stayed in touch with us to be sure we’re happy and I can’t tell you enough how much we appreciate him for that . We LOVE our first ever home and I will continue to inform friends and family of y’all . Centex has a great team . Thank you again Reno !!
