It began with miscommunication from the initial visit to the office. The staff were amazingly receptive and accommodating. We heard exactly what we were looking for with our expectations and the VA loan we were applying for. The rate was below 5% and the incentive monies were a great perk. We’re were told there would be a smart home package, appliances included, and a promised rate lock with a fair home price. Turns out we were confronted with a rate increase, no smart home package, no flexibility on price due to the failed promised rate lock, no appliances that were promised, and a rediculous amount of in house (Pulte monopoly) closing costs. We backed out of the deal. Centex home was a solid build for the price. We eventually were convinced to come back to the table with a large reduction in home price with flex monies promised. Dealing with Centex/Pulte group is not an experience I would recommend for any first time home buyer. Nothing was ever put into writing. Only false promises to make the deal. I have repeatedly had to request repairs on a sprinkler system that never worked right, broken heads, pipe busted in the ground leaking water, HUGE water bill, spoke with, emailed, wrote work orders 3X...and still NOT FIXED. I HAD TO PAY A $149 water bill this morning FOR JULY 15TH-AUGUST 15TH. The other orders, or complaints took forever to address as well. When we met before closing, we were assured that all items would be handled promptly. Someone keeps dropping the ball. It is hard to trust anyone at their word now.

My experience buying a home with Center Homes was outstanding from start to finish. From the very beginning, their team made the process seamless and stress-free. They were incredibly professional and communicative, ensuring I was informed every step of the way. Their knowledge of the market and the quality of their homes stood out, making me feel confident in my decision.

After seeing the model home, it was an easy process to purchase the home. Everyone involved was professional and helpful.

Overall experience was not the best… communication was not great. I had a few issues come up and lack of communication. I was told if we have questions, someone would be an assistance. Had some landscaping issues, work order was placed and they showed up after 5 pm. Someone was suppose to be there to assist and communicate back with me because I was not home at the time of the appointment and no one was there to communicate to even let me know the work was done.

The entire process was quick and painless, from the time that we met with Kimberly to our interactions with Michael. Very professional and caring. The house was completed as scheduled and Kimberly worked around our schedule to set up a closing day that was convenient to us. They both, obviously, take pride in the their job and the product that they’re offering to prospective customers.

So we are happy that we got to move to a brand new home. They made it easy for us to qualify. I'm however not so happy about the pricing of almost 400k not only because of the little amount of land and construction but the quality of materials on the construction seems very cheap and we can start we the tile or ceramic on bathrooms and laundry room. Also on the surrounding of the property, the construction crews didn't clean so well and there are still some trash that we had to pick up. So if the price would have been less, then the price would make sence but to me 400k for the quality of materials doesn't make sence. ... More

The closing was really smooth in only 29 days I was signing all the paper work !! My wife an I were very happy.

From the moment I came in to look at what my possible new home would look like I felt like a was actually coming home. Everyone we worked with was knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and most of all patient. They showed us the possibilities and helped make them become reality! I’m so greatful to all of them for helping our family come home.

This has been a great experience for us as first time homebuyers! We love the quality Centex use to build houses.

Alena was most helpful, courteous, and exceedingly willing to explain all aspects of what the builder offers. Always courteous with my phone calls while I was still in Virginia. Even after I finally moved in my new home, she still helped me with questions I had. Ryan also offered excellent service with a sheet mirror that had scratches and ordered a replacement. It was replaced within 7 days. Never did either employee feel interrupted when I contacted them with questions. I have to say that they are two of the main reasons that I feel that I made the right decision to move to Bradford Pointe.

We are deeply disappointed with the poor quality of customer service we have experienced since closing on our house. Despite our efforts, no one has been willing to address the issues we have encountered. It has now been 45 days since closing, and several problems remain unresolved. While I prefer not to mention any names here, it is important for the management team to be aware of the individuals responsible for the Winding Brook subdivision in San Antonio, TX. I wish there were a way to share pictures to illustrate our concerns.

Communication was great during the building process from start to finish we were able to know what exactly was happening. Great home for my family with space to suit all our needs.

Not happy with response time with a water leak. Going to take 7 days to get a repair person to house meanwhile money/water going down sewer.

I moved in April 15, 2024 hoping to settle in a new home where I wouldn’t have to worry about any issues first month of moving in noticed that water was leaking from AC furnace drain pipe and had home warranty work done well that issue was resolved. I was then having issues with my AC not cooling my house. This also was happening on the first month. I’m going onto the five months now in this new home and my AC still hasn’t been fixed temperatures get up to 80° and we’re talking about it would be seven in the afternoon and I come home to a 80° house or also my kids have to suffer being in a house that is warm so my experiences have been awful bad and the AC company that’s in charge of warranty work hasn’t been able to resolve this issue. They all come out and look at it and don’t fix anything. Furnace is sweating baseboard. It sits on accumulating mold I just don’t know how long it takes to resolve an issue with the AC and the high humidity that accumulates in the house in the attic So my experience has been real awful that at this point, I don’t feel comfortable here anymore. I’ve gotten to the point where I just want to sell this house and look for a different builder. I will never buy a centex home ever again. ... More

My overall experience with Pulte/Centex builders has been very positive and pleasant. My construction manager, John, has been AMAZING from start to finish, and he continues to update me & respond when I have questions or concerns even after moving in. The weekly emails and pictures were so impressive and very helpful, keeping me informed when I was living over 550 miles away. The customer service follow through via email responses and phone calls is some of the best I've ever encountered. This includes all Pulte/Centex team members. The company runs like a well-oiled machine. I would strongly recommend these builders to anyone considering new construction! ... More

I love the place and very nice

I don't know I could recommend Centex in good faith if someone were to ask. I am going to be getting another home in the area soon for myself and am not considering another Centex proiperty.

The purchase process was simple. We did not finance so the sale went quickly. We were sent pictures of the building process. Construction was finished in a timely fashion. No complaints. David was wonderful to work with. He went the extra mile to help us whenever he could. Seeing that we live out of state we had a few questions and David answered them in a quick manner. 2 days prior to closing we walked the house with the construction manager and David spent the time to take us through the house and make sure everything was addressed. House was immaculate. No complaints. And if we had questions we had plenty of time to talk. That part was great and stress free. However.... What we have found frustrating is trying to get anyone to answer questions from the homeowners association after closing. Many of the questions we had could have / should have been addressed at closing. How do we handle association fees? Who do we talk to with questions? What is the "Q" app? Who handles the Q app? 14 emails and phone calls later we were forced to contact our sales agent and find out why no one picks up the phone or responds to emails. Let's not get started about association fees... We knew the amount. They were paid for the quarter at closing. We have received 3 letters stating our fees are behind and we are being charged late fees and interest. Phone calls and emails later with no one returning either again we were forced to contact sales agent. Let me state this. We love our new home. Couldn't be happier. It's beautiful. But unfortunately we have lost a lot of confidence with who is actually in charge of running the association. There's too many moving parts and no one seems to know what the other is doing or in our case not doing. It's been extremely frustrating and frankly a little scary. Many if not all of the questions /issues we had could have defiantly been addressed or handled at closing. And let's not talk about the Gate issues. Which is the only way to get to our home. No one person is responsible for any one thing and if they are no one is saying. Closing was a breeze. Very simple especially from out of state. Closing company awesome. Staff prompt in answering questions and actually returning phone calls and knowledgeable. I do have one suggestion. I do understand the reason why appliances are included in the sale. But...Purchaser should have the option to exclude them. We ended up donating our appliances and purchasing top of the line fridge,refrigerator, dishwasher and washer and dryer. We feel the appliances included were not up to the standard of the rest of our home. There's much more to be said. But space is limited. Cathy our sales agent is exceptional and awesome. David our construction manager should receive a gold star. He helped us more than he had to. These two people have made the purchase of our second home a wonderful experience. The process of getting the loan and the house was smooth, but some areas like painting, sealing electrical pipe connections, sealing under door and joining in corners and getting those little things was not given enough attention.
