Pulte Homes sells you on the pricing and incentives for the new home build. However, once you are hooked into the process, their lack of communication, disorganization and not meeting timelines was more than a new buyer should handle. I kept expressing to them that home buyers only purchase 1 or 2 houses in their lifetime, why do they make their process unbearable? I was many times close to cancelling the deal and forgoing the Ernest monies. However, I did not because I really like the lot of land the house was built on. I also felt like they took advantage of me because I was a remote buyer and not there weekly to check on progress. This is my third house purchase and this experience was 2/10. Stressful experience to build a new house.

From our sales lady to the construction manager we have had a great experience. They are knowledgeable, professional and responsive. Great team and we love our home!!

My experience was very good regarding our townhouse at Coral Lakes. The construction personnel Kept us updated from the beginning building of the townhouse until the townhouse was finished. I would also like to thank David and Kieth for their help and answering the questions we had, the townhouse itself is beautiful and we are very satisfied with our purchase. Regards,

It is really a great experience working with Centex/Pulte and all its people from day 1 as a first time home buyer . They all made it a less-stress process and I am always updated with every step of the way. Thank you Centex/Pulte!

Very disconnected all departments involved in home buying process, lack of a deal management as a whole. Terrible communication between Pulte different areas.

I should have walked away even before closing on home. Mario (the builder contact) is a joke and not take your issues seriously, even lies. His mgr. Kenny allows this to happen obviously. The warranty shop has been responsive to my issues. Rebecca is now back in the picture from maternity leave and now attempting to clean up the mess I’ve had. I’ve submitted many work orders to be completed and I just closed on home 02/16. I’m hoping that everyone doesn’t have an experience like this. Not what I expected for a big purchase and new construction home!

The quality of workmanship on the house that I bought is marginal at best. I found several light switches outlet sockets that weren’t even grounded. When I went to put in my living room ceiling fan I removed the light fixture and found it was only held in by a half bent screw. I had to remove the whole thing and install a new one and that wasn’t even grounded; so much for quality assurance and inspections. The floor had to be ripped three times. The third time was actually after I closed on the house because they couldn’t get it done before closing, which intern prevented me from moving in for a full week after closing. The driveway is already chipping and has pockmarks throughout it. What ever coating they put on the concrete driveway didn’t adhere properly so it chipped up and created a holes throughout it, surface. I asked it to be fixed and Nicole the Customer Rep, who is WONDERFUL, got right on it and had them come over-and so-called fix them ….now my driveway looks like a Poke-a-dotted surface. The workers that this company employees or subcontracts to do the work, they could care less. Everything is done quickly without attention to detail and sloppily.. if I’m gonna spend $365,000 on a house I expect at least the outlet covers and light switch covers throughout the house to be straight and not crooked throughout the house. I still have yet to fix all those. No, I would not recommend this to anyone…I am very disappointed in Centex. The main thing is, as I was waiting for the house to be finished and throughout the inspection process, when discrepancies were found and requested to be fixed; I was told they were . Since I’m moving down from upstate New York, and quite a few of my phone calls were made from there, my builder assured me that several of these items were fixed, and most of them were, but I noticed that some of these discrepancies were covered up or made to look like they were corrected or simply just overlooked. . I can’t express how disappointed I am in the workmanship on my house. In fact, I’m going to demand that my driveway somehow be resurfaced so that it doesn’t look like a poke-a-dotted surface. This is ridiculous. In closing, I would like to say that I feel very disappointed that I have to leave this type of survey and evaluation. This was supposed to be a pleasant and fun experience. It’s been some-what short of that. I’m the type of person that I want to get what I pay for, it’s not my job to save the builder money. I paid for that. It’s the builders responsibility to provide a product that is advertised at the time of the contract signing and not skimp at the finished product or correcting the discrepancies. We are happy with our new home. From the beginning, the process was smooth. Neal in sales was extremely professional, explained how the process would go and was available when we had questions. Post sales support has been great also. On the builder side, Zach gave us regular updates and delivered a clean home and took care of the details that came up during the walkthrough. Very responsive and professional as well. Sean and the warranty department have been great also, title and Ashley on the mortgage side went above and beyond at each step. It's been a great experience with Centex/Pulte.

For instance, my outside backyard filled with trashes(I cleaned it) and no grass has been planted outside fence, heavy rains comes up, all the ground debris and muds comes to my backyard.

I am a little disappointed that I paid a bit more for the home then I should of. The homes now are selling for less than I paid and there are many not occupied...

Sales - laughable, multiple errors. Once you sign the paperwork, he has no interest. Thanks for nothing Tom and if you knew your stuff, the home was advertised with gutters. Our PCO NIck, is fantastic and really cares about what he does and how cuustomers are treated. He restores credibility for the organization.

Overall Centex did a great job on our home. Me just being nitpicky, these are topics i note; Should have use chair height toilets, they are the same price (usually). At least in the Master bath. I am a tall guy and currently have a long way down to that toilet seat. Whatever caulking they used for the bottom trim at the floor was either put on too thin, or just sucks. More often than not this caulking is cracking/splitting resulting in noticable splits. When i did my walkthrough, i had silverfish pointed out to me and was told they would die off. These things are still here. Why wouldnt you just bomb the place for the perspective buyer after construction is done? My brick wall is not the same height all the way around my house. Why? My house came with granite counters and was told that i should recoat for a sealer. You are charging $300k+ for a house. Would it be so hard for you to that 2nd coat for the buyer? Our salesman, Matt, was excellent and always responded to questions and requests. He was A+. However, what we didn't like is that the house did not come with ceiling fans with lights. We had no lighting in the 4 bedrooms, living room and office and had to buy 6 ceiling fans with lights. We also should have had a glass shower door installed in the master bathroom since it didn't have a tub. Otherwise, we love the house, the big pantry and the total appliance package.

We had the best experience from start to finish. Joey at the front office was fantastic. Mike with the construction crew was fantastic as well. Everyone was very nice and helpful. And we love our new home!

I have so many walls that aren't even square, Flooring scratched up, cabinets broken, water damage spots in master bath, literally keep finding more and more stuff in this home. The construction manager is an idiot, doesn't know anything, literally had no clue what fire blocking was and tells me these homes don't have them when in fact we do. The studs arent 16" on center or even uniformed, studs range from 17"-32" in space, absolutely ridiculous. Pulled the inspection reports for this home through the city and alot of preliminary issues that our agent didn't even tell us. Again, just a crappy home and ill NEVER waste my money with Centex/Pulte again. Y'all suck! ... More

We were pleased with our new purchase. The home had some minor fixes required and everyone was super helpful and prompt.

The home buying experience for Pulte/Centex was not a pleasurable one that’s for sure. The entire financing process was a joke. People not responding, not reading through documents submitted, delayed reviews of time critical pieces of information, more than I care to write in this review. This was a fumbled, mismanaged and unprofessional way to handle people’s financing and overall one of the worst interactions I’ve had as a consumer. It didn’t stop there, on the building side of things, during our final walk through we noticed a worker decided to urinate in the master bedroom closet. The construction manager apologized and cleaned but hopefully replaced the carpet and the padding underneath. We found some things after we did our own inspection that needed to be fixed. For the most part those items were fixed. The swells on the side of the home are flat and pool water up. That has been the concern from day 1. Instead of fixing the issue Pulte warranty decided to send landscapers out to see the area.. Well it’s been about 3 weeks now and the problem persist, and the grass hasn’t grown. We had some minor electrical issues and drywall issues with the home after move in. The contractors came out and fixed them. Other than that it’s been me making trips to home depot to fix things as they’re discovered. Dealing with Pulte Warrenty has done nothing but waste my time / money waiting around for people to show up that don’t show up on time or don’t even show up at all. Overall I wouldn’t recommend buying a Pulte / Centex home. Sure this could be a bad experience from one person but when a company drops the ball in just about every phase of the home buying experience, it shows how unprofessional the company is and should caution potential buyers. It’s more than likely this review will not be seen but for those who do see it I encourage you to get financing elsewhere, hire an independent inspector and take what this builder says with a grain of salt and do your own research. ... I recently had the pleasure of working with Centex Homes and I'm thoroughly impressed by their commitment to quality, and value. Their team, especially the Build Manager Jeff, went above and beyond to ensure a seamless and satisfying experience. Jeff's attentiveness and proactive approach in handling any issues made a significant difference. Centex's responsiveness and dedication to their clients is commendable.
