Great experience from a to z

Thanks to Centex, I was able to achieve my lifelong goal!! Centex offered a quality home for an amazing price!! They are very responsive and proactive in assuring the home is up to quality standards! Great experience! My family loves our new home and neighborhood!

Our sales agent with Centex was, Derrick, was not very helpful or responsive to many issues. He was also unaware of the correct rate he could offer buyers, as our rate went from a 3.99 with no buy down to a 4.6 with no buy down. This of course was after the 3k in earnest money was put down and could not he refunded. Beer cans were found in addict, lots of issues found thanks to a pre drywall inspection I paid extra to have done. Shady sales tactics and not so great construction company used over. Great building manager was the only plus from our experience

My home buying experience was wonderful from start to finish. The builder’s team made the process smooth, kept me informed, and followed through on what they promised. I love the quality and value of my new home, and I truly feel like care was put into the details. I would recommend this builder to anyone looking for a beautiful home and a great buying experience.

Centex homes are beautifully design for the price. My whole entire journey from the beginning to the moving in was perfection. The entire team was so helpful and professional. I highly recommend Centex Homes.

We experienced several issues during the process of buying, with lack of communication and delayed responsiveness. An issue with the yard being soggy and wet in a certain area, went without concern when brought up to the builder, and us as first time, nieve buyers, listened to what was said. Turns out there does seem to be an irrigation leak, which I again have experienced an extreme delay in receiving responses from the warranty department. We had a sagging truss causing a wall and ceiling to crack, requiring drywall to be cut out, truss lifted, drywall replaced and repainted. Discovered areas of uneven subfloor causing the floating floor to not properly align, requiring flooring to be removed, concrete grinding, and flooring replacement. This has really taken the joy and excitement out of being first time homeowners and eager Centex customers. Very hard to provide positive recommendations with so many frustrations less than 3 months in the home. ... More

The finishes are cheap builder great items. Did not get an option for upgrades so we took an amongst ourselves to upgrade lights, ceiling fans, and faucets. Besides that everything is great so far.

Buying the home was a pretty smooth process. I love my new home and I really like have enough parking space. I do wish I noticed some driveways were bigger than others though. I’d pick a different unit. However, it was a great buy..

My buying process was lightening fast. However I did miss out on lots of perks. I’m still finding things that were awarded to me that I didn’t take advantage of. I’m slowly becoming familiar with my new home. There are thinks that have not been repaired or corrected as of today. I was told they would be addressed at the 3mo review ie the garage door, the rain bird sensor and the dryer vent. Overall I’m very pleased with my new home and would like to go over it again with a representative

Honestly we had a great experience with centex from start to finish. Everyone we worked with was great and anything we have needed for the house has been taken care of.

No hot water inside my house for one month, this was a nightmare experience for me and my family. My next home purchase will be different.

Everything looked good when we saw the model house bought the house from out of state but we been having non stop issues in less than 2 months since we moved in with quality, workmanship all over the house

From start to finish- professionalism led the way. We belive that Centex offers the biggest bang for the buck that is out there. We are truley blessed that we came across the Centex quality brand!

The initial consultation was informative. Nancy answered my questions and took the time to work with me and my Realtor. Moving in was great too, Colby the construction manager addressed issues as they arose.

Love the neighborhood and the people who help showing us around. However, the lack of urgency in responding to issues on the home is a concern. All of the issues so far have been construction error and completely out of our control. Yet, we’ve been made to feel like it’s our fault and we should just deal with it until they can get someone over eventually. Lack of communication and responsiveness have been a huge concern.

Felt like all questions were answered quickly and sufficiently. Quality of workmanship is solid and the overall buying experience was very smooth. Great experience, happy to have purchased with Centex!

Sells and loan processing was great, underwriting was nerve racking, constantly changing requirements to close. And the knowledge, accountability and response from the construction project manager was horrible.

Centex home are of high quality standards!! The worker were extremely welcoming and helpful as well!! The neighborhood is particularly serene my family loves it!!

We purchased a newly built home from this builder and, while we were excited at first, our experience has been mixed due to a number of issues across different areas of the home. To start with the positive, the warranty representative has been responsive and helpful in addressing concerns as they’ve come up. That support has made the process more manageable and is appreciated. However, the overall workmanship and quality control have been inconsistent. We’ve encountered a wide range of issues, including damaged cabinets, missing trim, damaged trim, and poorly installed trim, doors with visible damage, and windows that don’t operate smoothly to name some of the issues. Some of the exterior work has also been concerning, such as bulging siding, roof areas with exposed nails, lifting shingles, and gaps that could allow pests to enter the home, damaged trim around garage, and exposed rebar. Inside, we’ve dealt with flooring that is lifting, HVAC struggles with maintaining proper humidity levels, and insulation leaking from the attic. There were also plumbing-related issues, including mixed-up laundry water lines, a leaking toilet, leaking faucets, and a bathtub that initially wouldn’t drain. Even the sprinkler system required adjustment, as it was watering sidewalks instead of landscaping. Additionally, some of the materials used are lower in quality—such as door knobs, flooring, trim, paint, and light switches. Many of the problems seem to stem from rushed or sloppy installation work rather than isolated defects. While some of these items may be considered typical for new construction and can be addressed over time, the volume and variety of issues suggest a need for stronger quality checks during the building process. Overall, this builder delivers homes with strong potential, but the experience may require a high level of involvement from the homeowner. Staying engaged throughout the construction and warranty process is important to ensure concerns are properly addressed. With more consistent attention to detail, higher-quality materials, and improved quality control, the overall experience could be greatly enhanced. ... More

My review score is based on my home selection, add on options and communication with sales staff. I love my new home and very happy with my purchase. However, I had to do almost all add ons after closing because they weren’t offered to me before the purchase. Be persistent during your selection phase and you’ll be a happy buyer. Overall, I highly recommend Centex.

We had a great home buying experience. Our realtor and centex worked together to make our experience smooth. We hit some bumps but they worked together to make it all happen at a great time.
